Swift for the price tag. Even if you can’t unlock the second core. none I purchased this CPU to use it until I can get a six-core CPU. I consider I just could stick with this a single for a lot longer than I expected. I unlocked the second core and it plays most games just fine. Most games are 60 FPS but games that put much more demand on CPU (ie physics intensive games) like GTA four start out to slow down a tiny bit. Typically to about 30ish FPS. (CPU @ 98-99% & GPU ម%) From time to time it dips down to 15 FPS but I consider that’s more to do with the reality I got only two GB RAM operating Vista.

Low-cost; runs cool and is 64 bitenjoyable experiment I was unable to unlock the 2nd core and unable to overclock utilizing A770E3 mobo with 3 various BIOS updates.Appears the chip is locked down.In stock kind the efficiency is tolerable at ideal. I do not have substantially overclocking practical experience, so possibly I'm missing one thing, but I spent a fair quantity of time researching and I tried several settings and nonetheless no joy.

If ur expecting to actually need a lot more than they supplied you are either stupid or stupid. You just saved ุ bucks off as an alternative of going Athlon. Theirs your heatsink. Ideal worth cpu on the marketplace, runs cool with oem fan, unlocked to dual core, stable, low energy, Oem Fan a bit noisy Was searching for a replacement for a 3.2g Celeron single core that was slow, ran hot even with an aftermarket cooler and artic silver. Newegg had this sempron on combo with the motherboard(Biostar 880G) I wanted because I required the legacy i/o's to make use of the rest of the hardware I had, so I took a gamble that I would be in a position to unlock the 2nd core and that it would be faster than the celeron. The gamble paid off as it unlocked the 2nd core very easily and it boots in about a 1ǚ of the time of the old celeron/biostar combo making use of the identical ide tricky drive and ide DVD combo drive. Plus now I can upgrade to a triple or quad in the future if I want or will need to as nicely as upgrade to SATA if the old drives shoot craps. AMD rocks.

Low wattage. Possibly unlockable. None Unclocked appropriate away on a ASRock 870 Extreme3. Does three.2ghz stable on stock voltage but I'm mainly making use of this as a backup computer so its back at two.7ghz. ASRock IES on says the cpu makes use of four watts at 800mhz! Fantastic idle.

Primarily price tag and smaller heat-sink, but also, 64 bit Help, Hyper-Transport Help, and Virtualization Engineering Help all on a 45 watt wafer. The fan on the heat-sink is a small loud on a load (playing streaming video on hulu in high resolution) otherwise on idle or browsing the web its not that noticeable. I have this in an APEX MI-008 situation on a ZOTAC GF6100-E-E motherboard with A Crucial 2gig stick of DDR2 800, An LG 22x DVDRW and A 31ǘ" media card reader operating Linux Mint ten 64bit on a 500gig WD green drive. Overall efficiency beats the pants off of a single core atom with comparable setup and is in fact close to my dual core atom 330/ION setup for a lot much less $$ of course no HDMI or digital audio out but on an older 32" Phillips LCD in my bedroom it does what I will need.Hulu and Netflix even Boxee function effectively.

This is genuinely fantastic for the price tag and you get a heatsink w/ paste and fan with it. Low power and AM3 None XP is really snappy this CPU has a lot more power than the old AMD FX-57. Its also great for vista 64 bit. I can play crysis with this cpu and a 9800GT at 27 to 41 FPS.

Low Cost, Low Power Consumption, Possible to unlock an extra core.Obtain this (or the processor that is slightly a lot more strong) if you are seeking to create a low-energy, low(er) functionality machine. None so far. It's working as intended. Bought this to power my FreeNAS server. For FreeNAS it's overkill, but I purchased it thinking that if I ever necessary to upgrade the FreeNAS to anything like an "internet browser" machine I'd be capable to use this processor for either application. It does draw a small a lot more energy than an atom, but it produces much more performance as effectively. I really feel that the additional wattage draw (about ten) expense is negligible. As a side note, I was not able to unlock a 2nd core on this processor, but it's ok. Even if I had been productive, I would have disabled the 2nd core for my application (lower power use is much better than overall performance in my application).General, it's a fantastic little processor, low power, easy to cool, and just chugs along!

Impressive overall performance from a single core. This tiny processor performs practically as properly as an older Athlon x2 64 I have on another program. When coupled with a SATA 6 72k challenging drive and 4GB DDR3 RAM, Windows 7 x64 performs like a champ. Like other people, couldn't unlock the second core. It also doesn't make me a sandwich... but that's beside the point... Originally bought this as a 'disposable' processor until I upgrade to a Phenom II x4, but I could have to discover a use for this small processor. Definitely out-performs any of my expectations for a single core.

Quick, for a single core cpu. Low energy use. Multitasking will bog it down. Wonderful for an workplace machine or an net box. Very good luck employing this on games. I have a gtx 460 and most games are a slideshow. I bought this simply because I had a undesirable processor or motherboard. This inexpensive processor let me discover out the other 1 was poor. I am now waiting on an Athlon two to arrive on my doorstep. It has served its objective effectively.

- Extremely low priced!- Worked Flawlessly- Possibility to UNLOCK a SECOND core on some motherboards (A Bonus, NOT a function - FYI for failed unlocks)- Cool & Quiet Positive is cool! (underclocks itself when not in use)My processor installed easy, and ran perfectly. Then, OVERCLOCKINGAll in all this processor has me floored, I bought a Phenom two X4 for my main pc (this 1 was a parts computer for it, all cross compatible components but in the budget range)With my overclocks this processor runs a more rapidly MHZ then my phenom two.(I purchased black edition, but the PSU i have for it is +/- ten% on voltages (going up and down in the course of use), i dont dare overclock till i can replace it.)Anyways, in tricky number benchmarks (md5 hashes/sec, Integers per sec, Floating Point/sec, Mixed calculations) this processor does Far better Per-Core than my phenom 2 when overclocked.I tried common use and "Light" gaming(SPORE, Tribes2, Battlefront two, Empire at war...) on this laptop or computer (Cont It isn't a Two-Pack.Continued pros:this spending budget pc i built for 贶 runs all of my games at max settings, with no holdups, choppy efficiency or anything else undesirable.I HAVE AND WILL suggest this processor to any person i discover searching for a fantastic, cheap computer! (I Showed this issue to my college instructor non-overclocked (I in fact brought it to lab and hooked it up) due to the fact he was convinced that for our 3d CAD systems and other programs... you Certainly could not use AMD for them "Buy a real intel" he said...I bring this point in, and it runs it Better than the "Cheap" 蹢 intel pentium computers (in past 2 years) at a fraction of the expense!(I'm in fact going to create one more AMD sempron computer system for somebody in my class who asked ^_^ ) Second core took about 30 seconds of choosing "Attempt To Unlock added cores? > Enabled" in the bios to unlock! After unlocking the second core I started raising the FSB...I Got the FSB up to about [B𖱠MHZ[/B] (X13.5 = [B󣾔MHZ[/B]) with no troubles initially, although lengthy term the program had a couple of difficulties. I Ultimately lowered to 265 FSB ྭ.5 X 265 = 3577.5MHZ 鵎 was stable as far as i could tell, I decided to give it an additional margin.)According to benchmark tests taken throughout overclocking, processor efficiency raised a fantastic deal as nicely. (Remember, MHZ isn't generally directly connected to performance, often a greater MHZ on a processor not designed for the higher clocks will slow the processor down since of elevated "Rework" the processor has to do.)T H I S P R O C E S S O R R O C K S!I'll note that i DO have a ุ ATI graphics card in this system, and that is additional important than the processor performance for gaming.
