Simple install, fantastic bios, functions well with corsair memory, every thing is clearly labeled on the board. Doesn't soft reboot, power will go to the board and I hear a clicking noise, have to tough reboot by holding down the power button to get the computer to post. Tried updaing bios, larger power provide, tried with different two HD's installed with only 1 of every single plugged in. Tried to post on the ASUS boards about it a lengthy though ago but didn't get anywhere.I adore the Asus brand but feel i have a poor board.

Overclocking was in no way made so straightforward. The Turbo V button is awesome! Click one button and insta-power goodness when necessary! Asus BIOS modifying software program. Seriously, a couple of clicks and you have a customize/personalized BIOS boot image. Poop brown board color.

Very good capabilities effortless to over clock. Immediately after about two months my laptop or computer began to lock and not be in a position to be restarted it. When it did begin said there was a difficulty in Bios. I have this in a mineral oil tank so I know it's not more than heating it has not gotten over 97 degrees due to the fact I added the cooling reservoir. My roommate ordered the similar board ahead of mine died his arrived DOA. Beware when ordering this board

I really like this mobo, stable for anything in no way had a difficulty besides some odd ram settings.Dual 8x PCIe slots are good due to the fact 8xǚx kills your second card 8xǞx barely drops efficiency so not poor for about 贄. None so far Wish it had MemOK and maybe a couple of much more fan headers on it.

Has adequate on it to last several upgrades down the road. DOA I've purchased two of these. The first worked fine essentially plug and play. Second didn't post, not cpu or vid card activity at all. All fans ran but no life otherwise. Power and reset case buttons didn't function properly at all. Really odd. Hoping to have greater luck right after the RMA. Gigabite is still my preferred board. Built more than 20 pc's now and gig has constantly been rock solid and in no way had a DOA. My guidance is invest the additional 20% and get a giga and peace of thoughts.

This board is great if you get 1 that is not a lemon. I am finding ready to RMA my board for the second time. After about a year I began getting blue screens all the time. Switched out almost everything..... CPU,RAM,GFX Card. Still got them. Sent it in for RMA a small over 1 month ago. Got it back and it worked good for two-three weeks. Now i'm acquiring blue screens again. And Asus says the won't replace the board just repair it.

This board is amazingly effortless to install. Fits into my mid-sized tower with no complications at all, and 1 of the most simple to follow manuals I've dealt with. I've been working in IT for about ten years and I was amazed by the ease this board was installed. Took me as lengthy as it takes to install the basics to get this running. Had one problem with the core unclocker where I tried to run it ahead of I really did a full boot. Soon after I did the core unclocker, it froze at the post. Popped the bios battery and put it back in after five minutes and it worked fine. Following I did a full boot, installed Win7 and ran the cd with the drivers on it, I was in a position to do it just fine. This was meant to be my budget gaming Computer, with the hopes of upgrading in the future. It may possibly not be cutting edge, but with the capacity to add up 16gigs of DDR3 ram and to be able to run CrossfireX, it's great. Currently operating Star Craft 2, Left four Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, and Black Ops on the highest settings achievable with only a HD 5770 and 4gigs of DDR3 with a strong and steady 60 FPS. For an individual that's trying to save a buck here and there on their laptop, selecting this mobo isn't a step back like if you went with a micro ATX with no expandability.

It has two x16 slots and a great chipset and it is my favorite brand. I am so sorry I ever bought anything other than Asus when I did it was a nightmare I have so considerably trouble with that other brands Black Series junk motherboard I have never ever had a worse product that was so high priced. I adore Asus but I heard that it just was not the very same corporation it was a few years ago and had individuals say get this brand or that brand but I never ever had a dilemma with any Asus board I have owned since 1998 or 99. I adore Asus wish I by no means purchased that other brands Black Series garbage it is worse than I could ever say. Asus is still the ideal mobo as far as I can tell but this 1 does not have the 6 gb sata or usb three which several at this cost do Why oh why did I ever leave the great and great Asus to try some junk Black Series trash junk garbage board

Good tech for the cost, simple installation. Lowest power use. Issues from the begin with booting, unable to post, etc. When finally able to post and perform clean format and installation. Would freeze or throughout installation and blue screen when installation completed. On-board LAN would fail to be recognized practically each boot cycle. It was operating for a whilst so i hoped it was only a an early burn in period fluke but now its blue screening and outright dumping on itself all the time. Will not post regarldess of what peripherals are pluged in.Possibly a bad apple. Will order a new board and expect it to function. If not...

Well packed, looks nice, and supposedly has nice characteristics. I had to RMA this poor motherboard three times, and it still does not work. Spend a couple of additional $'s and skip the hassle. (Almost) Everyone speaks very about newegg, but their client service department leaves substantially to want. I would highly recommend going with a unique vendor.

I was fairly pleased when i got this factor. Sleek design, every little thing was labeled well and practicably idiot proof. Everything worked great the moment i hooked it up, no reset or energy concerns so far. The price, my goodness the price! None but. I will make a follow up evaluation o this item in the next months as i get to test it out much more.

Seems to be a incredibly durable board with all that copper and solid state capacitors. The heat sinks are a good touch and I have 10 USB ports in the back considering that I employed a spare USB header I had sitting around. 10! I loved the little header helper plugs it came with to hook it up to the case energy buttons / and so on. It created it so simple to install I feel embarrassed to tell any person of my accomplishment. I know this is weird, but I have no idea why motherboard manufactures insist on putting the DVD-ROM audio header as far away from the actual DVD-ROM as probable. I know I haven't necessary it because 2002 but it is the only bit of hardware still left of my original house- built Win 3.11 PC I built in 1994 and I am nostalgic. I should say this has been a super straightforward Win7 upgrade. My previous MoBo (Asrock) lost it's Northbridge soon after PSU crapped out, so I upgrade to this MoBo, plus CPU and memory (DDR3 1600). I have had severe battles installing MoBo's more than the years. This was not 1 of them. The operating technique just loaded up the new drivers that it needed and I was in organization. This factor has "Express Gate" technology. This permits you to use some on-line apps without having taking the time to load windows. But this board boots up so fast I actually don't need to have it. ࿤ seconds from energy off to surfing the web as lengthy as I don't flub the login password.)

Soild Motherboard with a lot of capabilities. BIOS is uncomplicated to function with and definitely easy to OVERCLOCK. This board easliy handles typical Battlefield BC gaming and HD Video Editing. I would suggest this board for a spending budget gamer. Not Genuinely A Con - But case LED's/Power connections slots are like always, situated in the back bottom. Just make positive to check that the cables on your case are lengthy enough. Cons:- None worth mentioning

Pros:- Works great- Has an IDE slot if you need it
Comment:
I got this for my last build. Everything works fine. The layout is alright. I've had mobos with terrible layouts before. Stuff like RAM slots being too close to the CPU, so heat sinks cover them and all that jazz. But none of those problems here.I mainly got this for the one IDE slot. I have an old drive that I wanted to use for my new computer, and this let me do that without external solutions. So if you're looking for that, this is a good choice.
