ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Back faceplate does not fit too well with the case.Lack extra USB ports.Enable raid in SATA mode turn all SATA ports to raid.Marvel(R) 88E9128/9123 SATA3 controller is limited (having problem with SSD in raid).

Pros: Heck of a lots of advance settings.
Comment:
My gripe:The back faceplate doesn’t match the port on the motherboard very good. The motherboard designer and the case designer should sit down and have a talk to each other, how and where the face place and the ports on the motherboard should be when it is assemble in the case. I mean that just sloppiness--the holes for the keyboard, mouse, audio, etc. and USB slot are not even close to being in centre. That makes it a bit struggle to install the motherboard. But applied extra force and it will stay where you wanted.Wouldn't hurt for ASUS to incorporate extra few more USB ports though seeing all the extra empty spaces on the back. Yeah, yeah, I know, I can buy a usb hub..... (what...ever)...geez.Easy to setup--just leave everything to default. If the board doesn’t boot, maybe your ram is not compatible. Press the MemOK button and wait and see. The board should reset to default setting when overclock attempt fails but sometimes it doesn't do it for me. Had to manually unplug the power supply and push the CMOS reset button on the back for it to restart back up.Just found out about issue with the Marvel® 88E9128/9123 SATA3 controller is having limitation for two SSD in raid mode. Under normal internet surfing is okay but may drop  a drive when put under load. Don’t have SSD yet so that will be extra issue to be dealt later.Overall, ASUS motherboard have good quality and nice to work with. Keep in mind, however, there are other motherboard manufactures such as Gigabyte and MSI have very good line of motherboards too.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Have none so far except for the misunderstanding if this board works with 1600 ram. The book says different from the box. However, after enabling "XMP" in the BIOS, my corsair ram is able to run at 1600, like Memory Finder on Corsair said.

Pros: Looks really nice. Performs very wellASUS means quality
Comment:
I'd highly recommend this motherboard. The USB 3.0 ports is a plus. Running an intel i7 930 on this board, and it is working perfectly!

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: no front usb 3.0 capability

Pros: great oc'ing abilities, all the latest tech
Comment:
with the newest connectors available, good overclocking ability at a bargain price. the only downside i can see is that it's not as heat friendly as it could be and no 4 way sli or quadfire, but if your going for that price is not an issue. Also now that i think of it my case has front usb 3.0 ports that i can't use, but as far as i know that's not a feature on many if any mobo's

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Doesn't really use DDR3-1600

Pros: Great value, USB 3, SATA 6GB
Comment:
Overall a great board for the money. The only problem I had was that it isn't guaranteed to run more than 3 sticks of DDR3-1600 ram which was (of course) what I had ordered to go with it. After a bios update  and using XMP, it does work with my two G.SKILL F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Triple Channel Kits.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: - no eSATA header, although I believe you can use a regular SATA port based on my reading of the Intel ICH10 spec (I have it hooked up but haven't tested)

Pros: - futureproofing with USB 3 and SATA 3- either SLI or Xfire 2- or 3-way- excellent overclocker
Comment:
I run a 920 D0 at 4.2 GHz on this board with just a Corsair H50 cooler. The overclocking options are fully there, plenty of flexibility. I think this is probably one of the best overclocking boards out there based on the success stories I have read.I love ASUS motherboards, all the features you would expect from them are there. Same BIOS as always. Quality caps, good voltage regulation. There is a decent passive heatsink on the VRU and Northbridge with heatpipe between. Nothing gets very warm anyway though.I don't use any of the ASUS software except the audio drivers. The ASUS overclocking stuff seems silly, unnecessary, and ugly to me. I just do it in the BIOS, check with CoreTemp, and then forget about it.The colours--a scheme of blue--meh, it doesn't particular suit me but it is ok. I think their old orange looks cooler. It does have a nice black PCB.The onboard audio and network chips work great. It's nice that this is very standard now even on a more basic motherboard. It's sweet that this board (well thanks to the chipset) does both SLI and Xfire... gives you lots of options in the future.Lastly I just want to say it is nice with the X58 chipset to see the legacy crap go... no floppy, IDE ports, etc. Welcome to 2010!Great board, if the price is right you won't be disappointed.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: No e-SATA port multiplier

Pros: USB3 and SATA3Good priceLots of features
Comment:
I picked this board over the premium because it's essentially the same board minus the extra ethernet portIt supports 3 way SLI (I'm currently using only SLI) and has everything you need on a motherboard. The MemOK button on the board is nice to test RAM configuration.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Lacks some ports (esata, second ethernet port)

Pros: Excellent board layout, easy to overclock, ASUS quality
Comment:
This is an excellent board with a very nice layout, it's basically identical to the premium version except it only has 1 ethernet port and has a better raid controller. The reason to get it over the gigabyte boards would be the fact that you can run your single pci-e videocard at 16x while still having SATA 3 and USB 3. The performance difference is probably negligible, but at least you'll feel better about it.

Great board and rock steady with an i7 930 4.01 GHz OC on air. There's a great threa at Overclockers.net (280+ pages) with some very easy, low voltage OC settings for this board.Thread here: http://www.overclock.net/intel-motherboards/662236-asus-p6x58d-premium-e-thread.html(Post #2 by "xmisery" has the links to different OC recipes)I tried the 4.01 OC with Hyperthreading with the i7 930 changes and was immediately up and running w 4.01 in Win7 64-bit with no problems.I love the 10 overclock profiles you can name and save from the BIOS Tools settings.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: The front-panel HD Audio connector should be near the front-side of the case, not the back-side. I couldn't reach it with my GTX 480 blocking the way and had to use the AC'97 connector instead.

Pros: Easy OverclockingLots of functionsEasy installation
Comment:
This motherboard is great if you're looking for a board that allows for great overclocking options, but don't want to spend too much money on it. It's a pretty economic board set for overclocking enthusiasts. It also comes with new ASUS gimmicks like ASUS ExpressGate, the Marvell RAID easy-setup, and MemOK allowing for easy RAM configuration on the fly. The most impressive thing about this motherboard is that you do not need to reset the CMOS settings if you mess up an overclock. It'll automatically detect a failed system boot-up and request for configuration change while the system boots on stock settings.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: Only two Sata 6GB/S ports on motherboard

Pros: USB 3.0 , Sata 6GB/S Raid capable. Overclocked easily.
Comment:
I have to say this is one of the best motherboards I've seen from ASUS.The packaging was well done and informative. It came with the clip on sata cables which makes it easier to handle when inserting to a sata port. The PCI-Express slots are evenly laid out and their not cramped in there. There is no reset button on this board like the premium edition but it doesn't matter. There is however the memok! button and the power button.Managed to overclock i7 920 to 4.2 Ghz just fine with 1.31 Vcore. The motherboard temperatures are great to.I highly recommend this for the price and the quality as well as someone who wants to do upgrades such as sli in the future or now.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: None so far.

Pros: Build quality, overclocking options, stability, good layout, good features
Comment:
This board is a good compromise between price and feature compared to the near-identical, Premium version. For a significantly lower price, the only features taken out from the Premium version are the extra LAN port and some copper heat pipes. I like the ASUS build quality, and the large number of overclocking options in BIOS settings. Built-in USB 3.0 and SATA 6gb allow this board take advantage of upcoming new devices without needing to sacrifice a PCIe slot for an expansion card. Overall, this is a board with excellent value.

ASUS P6X58D-E ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons: none

Pros: Great features, build quality, and overclocking potential.
Comment:
Have had this board for about a month now, running an i7 930. Being a newer, slightly scaled down model of the Asus P6x58d Premium, in my opinion this is the board to get between the two as far as cost and features are concerned. You give up very little to get a more cost effective x58 board with usb3 and sata 6gb/s , and of course great Asus build quality. Have had no trouble taking my cpu from its stock 2.8ghz to 3.8ghz in no time at all. Proper ram timings had to be set manually for a set of OCZ ddr3 1600mhz triple channel sticks, but that seems to be par for the course on most boards with memory kits that run faster then platform standards. Everything booted fine on first install, bios offers tons of options... really nothing bad to say.
