None The board dropped the C2 DIMM slot soon after 40 days of the method was operating.ASUS refused to do an RMA because the board had no serial quantity sticker on it. The program had been up and running steady due to the fact I constructed it back in late September and box was long gone mainly because there have been no apparent difficulties. How stupid of me.All I did was add 3 a lot more sticks of matched RAM. Which worked for a grand total of two weeks. Then the C2 DIMM slot disappeared. I'm so infuriated with ASUS appropriate now. That has to be the WORST customer service knowledge I have ever been by way of.I wrote a utility that pulled the S/N from the BIOS, that wasn't the appropriate quantity. I used their personal ASUS Probe utility, and that wasn't the appropriate number. There is only 1 sticker on the board, and that's not right number.Suffice it to say, that's the Last ASUS product I'll ever obtain.

No problems so far. Memory shows up and BIOS settings hold. Overclocked the 950 to 4Ghz effortlessly. 6GB Mushkin Redline and 12GB Patriot Viper Xtreme operate fine. Lots of good functions like eight four pin fan headers, dual BIOS, further four pin energy for PCIE, spaced out X16 slots for video cards, heatsinks that are bolted down, Intel Ethernet, a lot of BIOS choices, and remote overclocking control. Board runs hotter than the P6X58D. Only 1 network port. No immediate boot OS. X-FI sound is just Creative software program run on a Realtek chip so don't expect too much. I only will need one particular network port and retain my program operating all the time. My P6T would lose BIOS settings when power was off. My P6X58D Premium only shows 4GB of RAM sometimes. Asus finally got it correct with this a single.

appears quite BIOS would not save any modifications. Updated from the 0402 to the 0505 and the only way the motherboard would post is if you loaded default BIOS by means of F2. Even straightforward points like changing the clock, or altering the boot priority would not save. I was seeking forward to this board. I gave ASUS a possibility. Now it is back to Gigabyte

Board installed fine and appears to operate fine other that the cooling issue. Possessing system shutdowns with IOH over temp troubles. From browsing the ASUS forums this has been a dilemma for some time. Seems there are thermal concerns with the cooling of the X58 chipset. No overclocking accomplished to this motherboard.

Soon after five weeks of use, no complaints. Functions well. It has only 1 Ethernet port. In my previous overview I gave only 2 eggs for three motives. I decided to bump score to 4 eggs. I forgot that it was produced in China and was dirty/scratched on arrival.

Effectively the card itself is loaded with features. Major factor is the PCIe slots, three in total, are spaced beautifully. Has 6 DDR3 slots in triple config.Application supplied enables limited access to personal computer by means of a usb cable to one other personal computer for fixes and overclocking. DOA? Did not BOOT. Nevertheless it is allowing me to use the ROG Connect function. BIOS will not flash. Techs at ASUS say get a VGA card see if its got bios. ROG techs had been confused and pretty frankly seemed like they didn't know what the hell I was talking about. The manual is even worse. Very important facts are scattered across the manual in small "hint" style boxes. Very tiny detail to the instruction or way way too considerably. Appears as though a black mounting screw for the cooling fin / pipe assembly about the processor housing might possibly be the dilemma as it appears to be sticking out of the back of the mother board strangely still attached and no other sign of harm. Trouble shooting this point has been a nightmare. Was expecting more from an ASUS board. My last board was a Nvidia/ASUS 790i intense and it was excellent. Placement of some of the on board connectors makes this factor a candidate for a wiring mess depending on the case.

Runs great no key concerns great layout what far more can you ask for. All the pretty buttons that you just want to press... ya be cautious because there is a clear cmos button (found it by accident). I don't like the 90 degree bends on the sata ports was a bit of a discomfort to get plugged up. Demands more SATA 3 ports.

This motherboard is properly laid out and was straightforward to install. Running SSD boot drive, RAID ten, 24 Gig of memory and twin video cards, the board POST’ed with no concerns. The Asus utilities make it fun and effortless to overclock. None The fan on the aftermarket CPU cooler is very close to the memory socket but it all fit together with no difficulties.

Excellent hunting board-Excellent spacing of the PCIe slots-Love the clear cosmos button (no more opening the situation to clear csmos-CoolerMaster V8 fits nicelyOverclocks nicely (running an Intel Core I7 ʄ.00ghz) Tried true tough to consider of a single, I guess i would say I wish the sata sockets faced up rather of to the side. Not a major deal to me,and in addition to ASUS is'nt the only a single undertaking it this way. I cant commemt on the longtivity of this board as I have only had it 1 week. So far so great even though!

Wonderful seeking board. All the extras. A lot of room for additions. Fantastic BIOS back-up for any overclocking. Ran quite cool with my fan process. Began possessing random lock-ups. Replaced my energy supply considering that was the challenge. Right after about three months, USB ports failed. No use of keyboard or mouse. The board reset and on/off button would turn the pc off but would not restart. Power had to be drained to zero to use start button. All card and case checked and removed. Motherboard would not restart. Attempted to get an RMA from ASUS. three days now and no RMA. Talked to US ASUS Tech. Help. They want me to send my board back to them (still waiting for RMA) and then send me a new a single in about a week. Does this seem like a regular time period? I after had a WD hard drive go negative and they sent me 1 in two days and I returned the poor a single in the very same box. Ought to not ASUS do this with a new motherboard?

So far so excellent. Stable board, BIOS is easy to use with a ton of CPU options etc. Looks quite and extremely effortless to set up. Worked right out the box and the 12GB of G-Ability Ram showed up on initial boot as effectively. I'd suggest this board for any Pc Gamer or shall I say "The Wealthy man Gamer"... Why the four Stars? Was disappointed to see that the box hadn't had the factory sealed sticker on it, and the reality that their had been finger prints atop the USB component and atop the capacitors not to mention the box inside that encased the MB was worn, like it was opened up a lot of instances or it was moving incredibly consistently through shipping. Looks like it really should've been an open box obtain... I was gonna RMA it, but then yet again who knows how lengthy that would've taken. I upgraded from my Rampage Intense to this Board. Cuz I decided i didn't need anything Intense anymore because I'm only a Game Enthusiast/Semi OC'er.

A Stable and straight forward MOBO for creating, simple to configure and laid out in an intelligent manner creating installation of the components intuitive. The additional capabilities of this MOBO are great in theory but factors like the firewire port which was important to my develop are noisy and poorly created. As to be expected with "extras" they are not of the exact same excellent as the rest of the board creating some of the features "to great to be accurate". Also following mounting a heave duty fan over the processor I found it quite a challenge to insert the RAM cards but was capable to with some patience and caution. The 1st board that I got had a housing for the CPU that was too tight to do anything but crush the poor chip although the replacement was fine. In contrast to my preceding practical experience with CPU mounting the housing for the i7 CPU applied an quantity of pressure that was a bit unsettling for such a delicate device but it hinged shut just shy of a force that seemed to a lot for anything as delicate as a CPU. All round it succeeds in being all that it promises and so far has been stable and performs very well! Advised!

Easy to set up, works like a charm except for the audio. When I decided to buy this board I read a lot about the Sound Blaster X-FI MB2. The reality is that this board nevertheless use Realtek drivers what of course screws up the Sound Blaster thing. The high quality sound worked effectively for 1 week then got off. No answers from ASUS. I will ask a refund on this board. Even undertaking a fresh W7 reinstall, authentic drivers from ASUS CD, no sound good quality back. I am very upset. Refund in a couple of days. Undesirable sound drivers on this board.

I have attempted to over clock boards in the previous with allot of trouble. Not with this board, more than clocking in no way been much easier. If you use ROG connect you can more than clock it whilst you are nevertheless in windows and see the outcomes ideal away. The bios is also the greatest I have ever utilized, it is uncomplicated and rapid with a ton of new things. I can load the defaults, or load 1 of my saved profiles. No a lot more obtaining to reconfigure my mother board right after a CMOS flash. ASUS has there SATA ports sideways facing the hard drives. this is to support cable management, but for me it is hard to plug in and unplug SATA cables when you need to. This is a smaller challenge that only will get in your way a handful of instances, so it not a huge deal. Even following overclocking my I7 950 to over 4gzh, the motherboard cooling program operates like a champ. There is no want to obtain or add added cooling for this board.

lots of connectivity, all the latest possibilities. Really effectively created. Unless you program on running 4way SLI there is no want to get the far more high-priced intense version. From what I comprehend the only factor the intense has more than the formula is four way sli and bluetooth. I added my personal bluetooth for beneath บ and 2 way crossfire is all I want. The boards functionality and top quality is best notch, just like my two Asus laptops. On the other hand in contrast to Asus laptop help, Motherboard support is severely lacking. The manual is great and simple to recognize with a small technical expertise, but if a question arises that is not obviously covered in the manual, you out of luck, simply because with a motherboard this new it's really attainable a google and forum search won't return any satisfactory results either. That leaves the non-existent Asus motherboard assistance. My very first call to MB help was answered with "We are incredibly busy appropriate now. We will get in touch with you back inside 24hrs. My exact response was "I'm sorry but that's unacceptable." and I hung up! Who has time to wait a achievable 24hrs to ask a basic question? I don't! The 2nd time I named I was told "We will have a tech get in touch with you back". When I asked "do you know when I really should count on this contact?" she replied (with specific annoyance in her voice) "TODAY!". That was 3 days ago. Nevertheless no contact back! The onboard SupremeFX X-Fi 2 is not genuine X-F. The chip is a realtek chip not the X-F chip. Nonetheless the onboard sound is really excellent. Possibly the greatest onboard sound i have ever heard! With that stated, if you are a genuine audiophile like me you will almost certainly want to choose up a sound card. I recommend that you wait and listen to the onboard initially though, because it truly is fantastic onboard! Just not quite as fantastic as some add-on cards. Asus does make best notch goods and I certainly do like this board but, I am obtaining a difficult time sustaining my loyalty to a firm that is to busy to answer a few easy concerns!Evga also tends to make major notch goods and from every little thing I comprehend their techs essentially do speak to their customers! So like just about every thing else in life the decision is yours: Two company's that each make killer merchandise. One won't enable it's consumers/one will! Type of a no-brainer if you ask me! I know what my next option will be!

By far the greatest motherboard I have ever owned. Versatile and deep BIOS tends to make overclocking a true pleasure (rock-stable i7-950 @ 3.92 hardly trying, will push it greater as soon as I get a better cooler). Along with quite a few, a lot of other wonderful capabilities, eight PWM fan headers and the expansion slot configuration had been crucial elements for me. QC at ASUS appears spotty, as my earlier review and those of other people regarding damaged units have attested. But now that I have a very good a single, the single egg for my DOA board turned into five, it's that good :)The included ASUS application suite is mediocre at very best but that's not a deal breaker for me.If I was shopping for right now I might wait for the subsequent revision which will nearly undoubtedly have UEFI, but that could be a although for the 1366 socket because this board came out fairly recently. I also truly, actually wish this board supported ROG connect by way of iPhone, despite the fact that that might be a shortcoming in the app and not the board. As I said, this is the best motherboard I have ever owned but it is also the most high priced. It was nicely worth the value nevertheless.
