I installed two of these boards, 1 into my computer and one particular into my close friends. They connected uncomplicated and the instruction manual tells you every thing you want to know about how to connect it into your situation and what each and every thing on the board is so if your not so technical savvy then you can still figure it out. The motherboard read all the RAM and powered up with only a small technical problem that involved the jumper settings, which was also described in the manual and was an straightforward repair. if you have multiple headphone and microphone jacks on your pc you can only connect 1 set and your restricted to only 14 USB connections which is much more than enough anyway so who cares. Excellent searching board that matches corsair dominator GT RAM.

Wow! Very Nice Looking & Stable Motherboard! Packed in a great box (It was like a Toy where you can see the figure inside, hehe). Lots of functions, excellent ASUS Software program that lets you Monitor the Temps & Manage the Fan Speeds from your desktop :). I feel I'm in full manage over my Personal computer. Thanks ASUS for becoming Really Dependable on your Motherboards. Very Advised! Till now (Bought 12ቡ񳏊), Nothing at all has gone incorrect or failed on me. Nonetheless running Strong and Stable! Will update once more following a month :). I was afraid of finding a DOA Board simply because of some reviewers complaints on other ASUS Boards, but I come to understand, every little thing that ships should all be Brand New, so why worry... You genuinely have to be unlucky to get a DOA Board. I say to all of my fellow Laptop or computer Geeks (like me), Order With No Worries. This is a very good board. Quite pleased with my 2nd one. Not pleased with Newegg. Can't set my 12gb dominator-gt pc3 16000 to 2000As I was installing windows 7, on the third startup(after altering the memory frequency to 2000 in bios) the computer system died. I inspected the CPU with a magnifying glass and located one pin was protruding out(it was not this way on installation) I then inspected the CPU socket on the motherboard and found the counterpart pin was pushed in. The assumption I created then was that the voltage regulators on the motherboard failed causing the CPU to explode internally producing the bulge on the CPU pin which then pushed the corresponding pin on the motherboard in.On Oct 31 I named your RMA division and explained in detail to the technician on what occurred and my thoughts on it getting a poor voltage regulator. He told me no difficulty he understands what I'm saying. He then gave me an RMA quantity 41928720 I then asked him if I could order a new motherboard and have them credit the bad motherboard to my account. He said positive they have performed that prior to On Nov 11 received an e mail stating the RMA was denied due to end user causing physical harm to speak to pins. I called Newegg to complain. They claimed that more than one particular pin was harm and that the protective cover was missing On Nov 17 I received the RMA back. I inspected and located the tape that i utilized for the message they mentioned wasn't there was nonetheless on the box. The cover that I placed on the socket was gone. The pin that was pushed in was missing and various pins in three locations are bent. This is not the way I sent it to Newegg. I can only assume that the tech who was supposed to inspect it messed up and then blamed it on me. I don't want to assume that this is a business policy, why would it be you guys would merely send it back to Asus for a replacement. A liar trying to safeguard his job is more feasible. Bottom line is Asus will not credit me, they'll replace the board and I'll have a spare spare sitting about

x16 x16 is why i purchased this board soon after reserching to a moderate extent. i didnt want to go over 300$ so it was a no brainer get. By far the finest board i personal and i have a few. the 890fx gd70, the 1156 fuzion from MSI, and the amd nvidea board, the 980. All extremely comparable in specs but the 1366 formula blows em away. IMO Its a get. Heck.......none! Im employing a Raven two case with an inverted board so my GFX cards hang as an alternative of sagging. The settup is essentially the board im talking about , 24g Ram, 2x OCZ 120g SSD Raid . 2x Zotac AMP 480 gtx watercooled. And the 950 Intel 1366 CPU. Windows experience of all7.9's. Maxed out finally. Woot.

every thing, i have bought ALOT of boards in my time, & this one is the very best a single i have observed & the really feel as well. i am totally impressed with how it felt when handling it, it is obvious its fantastic excellent. i place with each other the program & it booted first time, no issues at all. my board even came with the newest bios currently loaded & my CD ROM driver disc was present as well. i know there is generally problems & attainable DOAs, however i can tell you i havent received one DOA ASUS product, & i am still amazed & becoming amazed even now at the power & stablity of this board. I just hope the SATA III technologies period (devices & board drivers) boost soon, that is why i didnt get any of those devices yet simply because of all of the reviews here & else exactly where, it just doesnt seem to be significantly benefit yet. none, its one particular bad mamma jamma! Operates fantastic. Effortless to install almost everything, came with all the cables I required. BIOS very effortless to use, intuitive. Recognized my 6 GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 memory, but did not recognize the correct speed of 1600 MHz. Had to manually adjust that setting. Not a major deal at all, but it's the only thing it didnt auto-configure correctly for the duration of setup. overclock does operate effectively following a small acquiring utilised to, voltages do not get too hazardous on automobile overclock which is very good for program stability down the road, SLI spacing is good for two cards. 16 gig of gskil ripjaws showed up on 1st boot with no troubles. Board is quite great and clean, sata cables came with it, general great board with good accessories. sata III drive setup was a bit aggravating due to boot files becoming place on sata II storage drives and not the primary active drive on sata III. I reformatted all drives and only plugged in the sata III drive and loaded win 7 64 bit.. Soon after creating sure sata III was active primary and bootable after restarting, I plugged in the storage drives on sata II, formatted them and all was excellent. no need for a bios update yet which is fantastic.

Overall, it's a excellent board. I've only had it a couple of days, but it's operating wonderfully. The manual was quite useful and all the connections seemed to operate just fine. For building my 1st Computer by myself, it all came with each other nicely and this board is a excellent reason for the ease and good results. 1 TERRIBLE style flaw: the SATA inputs on the board come in from the front of the machine and in a crowded case, they are a royal pain to deal with! Tip: connect your SATA's Prior to you mount the board in the case.

The board installed with no difficulties and posted the initial time. The directions were fairly effortless to stick to and the bios has lots of attributes. It has all the most current characteristics. It also looks aesthetically pleasing inside the case. A slight con for me was the place of the front audio connectors. I wish they were next to the front usb connectors. I wouldn't mind added Sata ports and usb3 ports too. I purchased this to replace a Gigabyte board that was giving me complications with the raid controller and starting up and so far I am fairly happy with it.

None,Just about every fell into location completely, just a great board & I have no regrets. Would like to see a USB 3. connector on the board itself so that I would not have to run a cable to the rear of the machine, but 3. truly isn't even in use so it's genuinely a future proofing feature.

Northbridge(IOH) and Southbridge(ICH) runs hot at 50C evaluate to my CPU at 36C on heavy 3D gaming. Almost everything run at default rated speed. No OC however. Not positive if it was the MB style or the HAF X case style, but my EVGA GTX 580 and OCZ Revodrive X2 240GB can not screw in with the case even when I forced it in, which make them loose without screwing them in.My rig:Cooler Master HAF XAsus Rampage III FormulaIntel Core i7 950Nvidia GTX 580OCZ Revodrive X2 240GBCorsair Dominator 12GB 1600MhzOCZ ZX 1250W PSUZalman CNPS9900NT CPU coolerIC Diamond 7 Carat Thermal Compound

See previous review. In addition:The Intel ICH10R chipset makes a good firmware-based RAID. Not accurate hardware RAID which is high priced anyway and I'm OK with that. I haven't had any difficulties with it but and I am typically the 1st to load and join games in my multiplayers, so I can give it its crazy rapidly speed. I genuinely get pleasure from the SSD-like quickness on my trustworthy RAID- WD Raptors. See earlier critique. In addition:The BIOS wants to auto-detect mass storage USB devices at POST. If you are operating a slow drive, such as a MyBook, which takes as substantially as ten seconds to spin up, this will in turn slow down your boot by ten seconds. Unplugging the drive gets rid of the hang-up and my computer will start off up really rapidly. With the drive attached, boot occasions are unbearable. There is no option to change the timeout for the auto-detection to or off, the lowest setting is ten seconds. Very annoying! I hope a BIOS update addresses this challenge! I have no want to boot from my back-up drive! I promised a five-star assessment when I found a cooler, but I wish I could do that. I have located much more troubles that I have had to deal with that do not justify the cost I paid for this motherboard.Even so, I identified a CPU cooler that somewhat operates: the Noctua NH-U12P SE2. I say it somewhat operates due to the fact I nevertheless can not clear my RAM sinks with the fan on that side, but I can move the fan up on the cooler (the Megalehems Rev.B could also, but the fan clips looked quite stressed and didn't appear like they would stay on, plus I couldn't close my case door).Every thing operates now that I also have a larger CM HAF-X case instead of the Antec 900.

Not one issue. The two eggs are for Newegg since NEWEGG generally takes care of their buyers! Exactly where to start off.... I have employed Each and every Gigabyte UDX and even the USB3 Board for the X58 platform. Every single a single of them devoid of exception sees every single HDD,SSD and ALL of them will raid together Sata 3 6GBPs drives . This Board WILL NOT do Sata 3 Raid at all!! As far as Drivers go.. Dont even try to install ALL of the utilities. You greater pick out the ones you like the ideal and hope when you reboot you nevertheless have an OS!!Total JUNK and I ought to have by no means gave ASUS Buyer Support a call simply because I knew it would be a Frustrating expertise. Asus took way as well extended to release this board and that Raid concern was in all probability why. Its not challenging or I dont consider Gigabyte would be carrying out it. I am in no way a Gigabyte fan boy but Asus Makes me want to be. four years ago I sent them an A8N SLI board in for RMA with a poor eithernet port and they sent me a NON working board back and of course I upgraded though waiting so I didnt use it Right away when it came back mainly because I had bought the A8N32 SLI board although it was out. 9 Months later I was going to use it in another method and it was the 1st time I pulled it out of the box. And it wouldnt even power on! This time, whilst on the phone with some woman who kept telling me SHE UNDERSTANDS WHAT I AM SAYING and then Lastly tells me immediately after 15 minutes that This board is not capable of Striping two Sata 3 Drives!! Then When I asked the concerns again she pretended there was one thing incorrect with her headphones and hung up on me!!!! Never Once more ASUS!! You ought to have disclosed that information onsite

Board installed promptly and was easy to get going. RAM in slots 5ǜ would not show up in Windows, only in CPU-Z. Tried varying configurations to 6x2GB, 3x2GB, with several sets of RAM to no avail. With all 6 slots filled with 2GB of RAM only 8GB would show, only 4GB would show with 6GB in (slots 1, three, 5). Soon after looking around it seems to be a single of the most widespread matters people have with the board (if they do have an concern, haven't seen a lot of other issues posted about)RMAing board now and in all probability RAM given that I have no other DDR3 machine to test it.

When I very first took the motherboard out of the package. There had been fingerprints on the southbridge heatsink and there was a capacitor slightly dented. Decided not to RMA it result in with my luck I could get back a thing worse or a DOA. Other than it hunting utilized it works terrific.

Lots of capability and functionality. Decent BIOS interface. Sound high quality is wonderful, no need to have an external sound card. RAID and hardware management is quite uncomplicated (it was my initial time trying RAID and it couldn't have been easier). Sent me a DOA memory slot, took me FOREVER to diagnose. When I sent back for RMA, there was a lot of hassling about including just about every single factor in retail package including box. I fully grasp there running a enterprise but it's their fault they sent out a MB with DOA slot. Ultimately they sent me new MB but it took a long time, stalled my develop for two.5 weeks.XMP or any other auto OCing doesn't work at all. Had to manually adjust voltages.
