Comment:
Strong Antec good quality! This factor is handling a 1090t x6 processor, a 5830, 4gb of ddr3, five fans, and two drives. Most folks complain about numerous rails but I consider it can be good, particularly when you have 25 amps committed to pcie... confident its not a TON but for a single card its all you'll need to have for a although. More than voltage protection is nice and I guess its green :D Not as dressed up as other energy supplies. Not seriously a con but I figured I'd place it down. Corsair 650w came in a substantially fancier case with a cloth about it! But energy supplies aren't babies, they're tanks! And Antec has built a fine one particular! I bought mine about 1.5 years ago and I've observed the price jump about from 60 to 90 numerous times. Wait for a promotion like now ྫቬቦ) and jump on it!

Excellent value, sufficient cables for what I necessary to do, straightforward to install, runs actually quiet Lots of substance, lacking style. Looks pretty plain, if you have a window case the cables could appear a tiny rough since most of them are not sleeved.

Wonderful value at the time! Upon arrival i opened the box and installed the new energy provide into my chassis. I energy up the method, install the operating method, then the energy supply clicks and shuts down. I promptly assumed that there was some thing grounding or overheating so i checked the BIOS hardware monitor and also eliminated all components down to the mb and cpu. After attempting another Antec 550W with Active PFC energy supply it had no issues. 95% of the parts that Newegg.com ship operate devoid of troubles. I am unsure of why this 1 died on the very first day, i cant really say it was DOA due to the fact it worked for about 1-2 hours ahead of failing. Preserve in thoughts i was working with all brand new components in the program.

High power with active PFC Internal switch is fairly loud. This is heard when the technique is initially turned on, at power down, and in the course of wake/sleep cycles. Can be heard as an audible "click" when power is either turned on or off. The click really isn't that major of a deal, but other power supplies don't have this behavior which might be preferred if absolute silence is crucial.

Comment:
Quiet, performs like a charm. Offers a lot of connector selections. I haven't had a single concern with it but. There are A LOT of power connectors. I bought this power supply, since I have a Dell Studio XPS 435MT, and it is one particular of the handful of recommended power supplies that fit in my case. Only reason for upgrading was to put a GTX460 in the case. I had to bend some of the cable routing areas inside the case to get this puppy to fit in (without taking the motherboard out), and had to do some crafty cable management to get it to all fit in. This is not necessarily a con, considering that this power provide isn't genuinely produced for mid-sized towers. Just know that if you are upgrading your 435MT from Dell, it WILL function, and it WILL fit, it just requires some time :)

Operates properly when plugged into utility energy. Doesn't perform effectively when plugged into a CyberPower OR500 UPS. I utilised this PS/UPS combo in a Windows Home Server develop. When AC energy drops, the Antec hammers the UPS with a Huge load, and the UPS battery drops to a critical level within seconds, initiating a WHS graceful shutdown. This fairly substantially negates the UPS carrying the server by way of short outages. Replaced the Antec with a Zalman 750HP and it operates completely with the CyberPower UPS.

This is virtually a silent PSU, and has a lot of potential for any rig. There are just about too quite a few cables and power choices, it's a bit overwhelming, but I wanted a thing that would final via an upgrade or two. It has a solid, hefty feel. Nothing at all at all. Maybe the value? But you get what you pay for, and I've by no means had a problem with an Antec PSU. It's a bit overkill for my budgety process, but I wanted to place a lot more income into generating confident my system powered up just fine, and the 650W was cheaper at the time than the 500W version.
