Comment:
A lot more than sufficient for a desktop pc. Plethora of connectors make it bulky for a mini tower technique. This unit is more than-powered and has more connectors than needed for the program it powers. I purchased it because it was on sale at the time. I'd advise utilizing a case more substantial than a ATX mini tower, as the cables to tend to crowd the motherboard.

I was looking for a small less expensive PSU that still contained top quality. Very first I like to mention it is quite quiet and only hear it if everything in the property is dead silent, usually the A/C is on so don't have a issue. The wires length is wonderful for me and had no issues obtaining it to fit or reach the location. There were a lot of wires for my requirements. The PSU also does not produce substantially heat which is a great since less heat equal much less complications.General this is a great quality product if you want a good item devoid of breaking the bank. Any difficulties I had were brought on by me so this(for me) is no cost of cons. One particular of the very best or the ideal for this price.(I looked a lot)

It gives lots of good stable energy with each connector one particular could ever hope for. This PS sports an ugly gray cabinet, no paint, no lights, no polish. It's plain but it's a energy provide does it actually have to appear like a hot rod? My only genuine complaint is that the 8 pin EPS connector's wire wasn't lengthy enough to run beneath the MB. So, it had to be draped across the graphics card. If it was definitely a deal breaker for me, I'd order an extension. If you're a case modder or a person who cares what their builds appear like on the inside, you aren't going to like this PS. If you just want nice stable power at a great cost, it does the job.

none I have bought hundreds of energy supplies from New Egg and this is the 1st one particular that failed inside an hour of use. It just clicked off, as if some sort of a brief circuit was detected in the hardware it was powering. Substituted a 550 watt Rosewill and had no problem thereafter, and so it wasn't the hardware connected to it causing the difficulty. Tried it a day later, same challenge. Poor Quality Control. This supply was clearly in no way burned in or tested for any length of time, otherwise the issue would have been detected. This is the second EA650 I have purchased - the very first one appears so far to be fine. But not this one particular...

Surprisingly quiet, I anticipated a noisier PS at 650W. A lot of connectors for a complete ATX case. Not genuinely a con, but the old InWin situation I repurposed for this construct did not have a fan opening in the top of the situation, so used the PS inverted, fan facing towards the MB. But due to the fact the device population is low there's seriously no thermal pressure and all is operating nicely inside nominal temps. would use again

Nice powersupply - just don't do SLI/CrossFire. Hi,The EA-650 was not created to handle a sli or crossfire mode that's why it was never ever included with adequate PCI-E connectors to begin with. Utilizing a Y cable from ATI by connector molex can be troublesome for your GPU and unit. We don't recommend it as it draws too substantially power. Running two cards generally requires someplace in the range of 600 plus wattage on it's personal and somewhere in the range of 40 to 50 amps on the PSU. You have a 650 watts which may well seem enough...but we have not count the other elements for your system. please think about getting a larger psu with a excellent amperage on the psu. Thank youantec support! So.. Antec advertises this as SLI/CrossFire - but when you ask a question about it they say.. oh no, acquire an additional one.

BIOS reports all voltages "in the green" powering Tyan S2882 with two Opteron 252 processors (high wattage!) & six hard drives for > two months now. If I was going to have a difficulty, it would have happened by now. Doesn't make my coffee for me, but if I was to plan a voltage control switch to run as a cron job just about every morning, I bet this baby could provide the wattage!(j/k & don't try this at house:) A lot of, but this isn't the correct forum for 'em.

Plenty of plugs for the typical user80 Plus certifiedSolid construction Not the greatest decision for running SLI/Crossfire with a technique loaded down with extras - but in that case, why would you only pick 650W?Not modular; but the clutter isn't some thing that cable ties won't fix - I can't genuinely subtract an egg when it's not advertised as modular. This PSU does exactly what I bought it for without having any complaints: it powers a decent Quad program with a couple drives, and a decent video card, with a beast of a sound card. Voltage is stable and constant on all rails; this sucker is HEAVY too - just what I expect from an Antec.Really great for the average user, who could want a general machine for a bit of video, music, and some casual gaming.

My first and Final acquire if an Antec item. Also poor I can't rank Newegg five for their great rates and rate the manufacturer seperately as Antec doesn't even deserve a 1 star here.Boo!
