Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:Price
Pros:Brand name, pretty silver colour Comment:
Is it really that much better than the paste that is included with stock or aftermarket coolers? I don't know, I gave it a shot anyway. Grey and sticky, I assume it does the job. It only runs 7 degrees cooler than if you use toothpaste or pink lipstick, according to the benchmarks I found. Maybe a degree or two cooler than the stock stuff. Is that worth $10? |

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:Small tube.
Pros:Works very well at lowering chip temperatures. Comment:
One of the best, if not the best, heat sink compounds available. It's a little pricey due to the small size of the tube but worth it for critical cooling applications. |

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Cons:the 3.5g doesnt last long,
Pros:great product with great results! also easy to apply Comment:
This is a superb product! Iv been using it for a long time now and I will never switch to another thermal compound. Arctic silver 5 is the way to go for replacing standard thermal paste for many gpu's and cpu's, Also for reflows for xbox 360's!! The only draw back is the amount, 3.5 grams is great for personal use, will cover about 10- 15 gpu's/cpu's but if your fixing lots of pc's or xbox 360's Id suggest getting larger amounts ie. 10+ gram tubes. Id give artic silver 5 a 9/10 |

Comment:
The cost is correct. The tube consists of a lot of compound for a number of applications. It's proven itself against other newer compounds out there and has stayed consistent. It appears to be keeping my method at a stable 18c-28c, depending on the plan you use to check core temp with... But I haven't had any complications at all and I've been seeing the very same consistent temps over the last month. None seriously. |

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Comment:
Its silver wasnt no cost :/ Keep in mind you only need about a grain of rice worth on the cpu, and spread that out. Ive pulled apart so quite a few systems with globs of it on there which is a no no :P |
Works great. I use this on stock heatsyncs instead of the crap they put on at the factory. works well and the applicator seal up nicely once its been opened to help it last longer before drying out.
