BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5 Inch HDD/SSD Mounting Kit For 3.5" Drive Bay or Enclosure
Comment:
Functions just fine for me. My case has toolless mounts, so I'm not attaching it with screws, but it has screw holes spaced for either an internal (hard drive) three.5" bay, or for an external (floppy drive) three.five" bay. This worked out excellent for me since my case (Xigmatek Asguard II) has an added external three.5" bay that can't essentially be utilised as an external bay with out absolutely removing the front panel. So I was able to use this bracket in an otherwise useless bay. I haven't had any complaints, but I'm only employing it for one particular drive, so I can't comment on the SATA power concern. Perhaps you could attempt mounting the best drive upside down, to flip the sata connectors to the other side? I've got an SSD in the best bay, and space in the bottom bay is great for stuffing the further length of IDE ribbon cable from the challenging drive under it.

Really simple installation. Solid construction. Holds my SSD in spot really securely. None I thought it was produced out of metal, but it is plastic. Operates just the very same although. If your two.5" drive has to have the screws go into the side then this won't work. The drive has to have 4 screw holes on the leading or bottom of it.

Basically functions. Nothing actually particular about it. I slapped an SSD drive into this and put it into a typical case without having incident. None that I could inform. Purchased this with all the other computer elements to develop a good small test computer system making use of an SSD drive and slapping ESXi on it. Every thing fit with each other properly and Newegg did however yet another superb job sending the stuff in a timely style.

Low-cost. Does what it's supposed to. Plastic. Outer screw holes to attach the bracket to your case are not threaded, which means these with anti-vibration screws (Lian-Li, other folks I'm positive) will have a little harder of a time finding the screws in, and they almost certainly won't be straight. I'd give it 5 eggs if it was aluminum and had pre-threaded screw holes.

BYTECC Bracket-35225 2.5 Inch HDD/SSD Mounting Kit For 3.5" Drive Bay or Enclosure
Comment:
- Holds two drives- Comes with SSD Screws and bracket mounting screws - Not metal, but a difficult plastic, equivalent to what the frame of case fans are made of. The down-side to this is in the next item.- No threaded screw holes. This isn't truly a big con either, additional of a minor inconvenience. Considering that it's plastic, the bracket mounting screws are coarse thread to bite the plastic material. But in specialty circumstances like my Antec 900, they use propriotary screws (one factor I didn't like about the case, but that's yet another overview). So I have these quite long Ƒ") machine screws for HDD mounting that I now have to force into this plastic made for coarse thread. In the end it worked fine but DO NOT overtighten, just get them snug-ish. They will strip out incredibly simply using machine screws, but they will hold.- Plastic doesn't provide any cooling traits though it shouldn't be a dilemma with SSDs. Conventional laptop drives even though could benefit on the other hand-substantially from a metal bracket. - Not reversible (can't mount backwards due to screw positions on the sides. Could be nice to push the SSDs out a bit into the case in some larger case installs.. Not seriously a con but... You can mount the SSD in backwards, but can't mount the caddy in the case backwards IF you're case has only two standard holes (like the Antec 900). Other cases with far more standard mounting holes will allow for this to be reverse mounted.)

It functions as advertised. Made from plastic which is not completely evident when you purchase. I was worried about breaking it when setting up it in my case. Not the very best solution for 2.five" SAS drives. Two issues I do not like about plastic... doesn't conduct heat like aluminum and seems a lot less complicated to irreparably harm.If your SSD does not come with brackets... this would be a fine product.

Would function fine for standard laptop drives Will not fit 2x 12.5mm drives. Additionally to fit a single you will have to reduce off the 4 pieces that divide the bottom from leading. If you just mount one particular drive on the top slot the all round dimensions will be as well tall. Would have been good to have included that little piece of information, at ů ea not worth returning.

Add ƒ) two.5" drives in a single drive space. Performs decently. When I bought it, I paided ฝ for it. Plastic could be a bit more powerful, but it isn't as well flimsy. This cage + 2 Seagate Momentus XT drives worked out fairly nicely for me for a cheap RAID setup.

It operates I can not comprehend why the screw head on the plastic screws is so small. a regular Š or ş phillips wont fit. I have to use a Ş A screwdriver that small is hard to use with screws created for plastic. I positive wish an individual would make an aluminium a single. Its not rocket science

This bracket is cheap and effortless to use. There's not much to it. I don't know why only one other person pointed out this, but I had very a bit of difficulty plugging my SATA energy connectors into the two drives that I have installed in this bracket. They could have developed it to space the drives a little further apart, even 1mm would have aided a lot. Or they could have staggered them (placed one particular drive to the left, a single drive to the right - rather of both in the center). I had to rewire a SATA energy connector backwards to get it to fit into the second drive. -1 egg, could have been developed better. You won't have the SATA power challenge if you're only making use of this for 1 drive. I'm using it for two SSDs and apart from that problem, it's working fantastic! My case has plastic rails with threadless pins that just push into the three.five" drive (held in spot by pressure from the case), so I can't comment on any of the self-tapping screw concerns. If you are going to be getting rid of your drives usually I would recommend looking around at other brackets (maybe metal). This one particular is a bit flimsy, it really requires to sit in 1 location and stay there.

I employed it to mount a OCZ 60 gig Vertex SSD. It can mount 2 2.5" drives. It comes with screws too. Can't beat the value. Would be better if it were aluminum instead of plastic, but it nevertheless gets the job carried out. Would be far better if it were aluminum instead of plastic, but it still gets the job completed.

Fits two SSDs securely. I wouldn't put two HDDs even though, due to heat aspects, but two SSDs would be fine. Plastic piece didn't slide in and out of tool much less case really simply. Not that huge of a deal, but it created adjustments tough. Other then the moving it about challenge, it does its job just fine and I would acquire once more.
