Comment:
-Simple setup with DD-WRT right out of the box (diddn't even open the cd envelope inside)-Good specs, load averages have been low with heavy traffic.-seems to manage heavy BT traffic very well. -Indicator lights and so on. don't work with DD WRT (or at least appropriately) Effortless setup, very stable. Reccomended at this cost point.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: BuffaloTech's Tech Support is useless.

Pros: Excellent Router & Radio. Flawless WiFi.
Comment:
This is a probably the best Router I've ever owned. (I've owned lots of them over the years). I have been using DD-WRT based routers for over 5 years now, and this is definately the best one I've ever used. I've typically stayed with Broadcom based hardware, but I made an exception for this purchase, and I don't regret it. The radio on this Router is incredible. WiFi connections are flawless, and I get decent throughput. I make my routers work hard. (My network includes extensive VoIP and Media streaming in addition to traditional data traffic). I highly recommend this router. An excellent value, and an excellent product. BuffaloTech's support for DD-WRT is useless, but the DD-WRT Wiki site provides all the support I need, so I'm not too worried about BuffaloTech's lousy support. Someone needs to beat it into them, that switching to their archaic, poorly written "Friendly Firmware" is NOT a solution to anything. I bought this Router to get native DD-WRT firmware. This is the best Router I've ever purchased.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: Before Buffalo released factory DD-WRT for this router the web UI was quite poor and firmware was flaky; however, now after installing factory DD-WRT the router is rock solid

Pros: Stability thanks to DD-WRT - Cant remember ever having to restart itRange - Better then D-Link DIR 825Gigabit - Makes me wonder how I could ever stand waiting so long when transferring data between computers on 100Mb
Comment:
This sums up my experience; up-time 97 days! Nearly every other wireless router I have ever used has dropped overheated or crashed on me every couple of days. Finally found a router that just works. I also have a D-link DIR825 which is also good; however, the range on the Buffalo is better. Also the transfer speeds are superior to the D-link when the distance between you and the router increases.

Cons: When I rotate the antennas there is a lot of squeaky plastic sounds.

Pros: Good Signal, good speed. Runs DD-Wrt
Comment:
The router has good range and speed. It came with the Buffalo user-friendly firmware and I've flashed it to the Buffalo rebranded dd-wrt. It includes freeradius and I've got WPA2-Enterprise working. It could only connect up to 130mbps with the current Buffalo dd-wrt firmware. The plastic was also squeaky when you rotate the antennas.

Cons: Complicated to set up & tech support is not familiar with DD-WRT firmware.

Pros: Tech support guy speaks english, which is nice these days!
Comment:
I wanted this for QoS for VOIP. The factory firmware is DD-WRT V24SP2 but a build that's not on the DD-WRT website. QoS function changed in dd-wrt recently. No doc to cover QoS setup from Buffalo, and tech support didn't have a clue. They suggested going to their 'user friendly' Firmware, which is their old version 9not dd-wrt). I run Linux at home, so if you are not technical, stay away from this.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: The included firmware is a little buggy, as well as the actual PPoE and DHCP scanner. Sometimes takes a bit on the initial setup to truely get it running well.

Pros: Great Coverage, Signal strength, Included Software, Looks.
Comment:
Replaced my old MSI RG54G3, was showing its age and needed something which was a little more up to date and could handle all that I could throw at it. The included software is pretty good once you get the initial issues out of the way. Great router though and for the price you cant go wrong.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: - it's a little bigger so if space is an issue- not sure if it does print serving

Pros: - Great signal, even in basement from 2 floors up- inexpensive-replaceable antennae- usb port for network storage- dd-wrt firmware upgradeable (new ones come with it)
Comment:
I have had this for a day as a replacement for a trendnet wireless n router. I could instantly see the difference in signal strength, with 3 bars in the basement. I haven't even upgraded to dd-wrt firmware yet, so once that's done, I may have even better connection. So far very pleased with this router. I've tried d-link, belkin and trendnet routers in the past and this is by far the best I've had.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: No glaring issues yet...

Pros: Solid construction, good looks, client bridge mode on factory firmware (when using identical routers), excellent performance when properly configured.
Comment:
I have tried many different N routers in the past, and been disappointed in their wireless transfer speeds. None of them ever seemed to achieve much higher than standard G speeds. After some research however, it became clear that to achieve true N speeds, three things needed to be true: The adapter at either end of the link needed to be the same chipset, they needed to support 40MHz channel bonding, and security needs to be configured as WPA2-AES or none at all (NOT recommended). With this in mind, I purchased three of these units as they support client bridge right out of the box (albeit only with identical units, but I wanted that anyway to match chipsets), and they were on sale. I have one configured as the main router in my computer room, and one configured as a client in the living room. Attached to the client unit is an Xbox360, Patriot Box Office, Synology DS410j NAS, and a Samsung network-enabled TV. With this configuration, I achieve a solid 12-14MBps transfer rate to the Synology NAS over the wireless network. That's about the same as I get over the wired connection to my D-Link NAS.

Cons: No lights on the front showing Lan port activity

Pros: Really powerful wireless signalDD-WRT supported by buffaloSleek look
Comment:
I love this router. Upgraded from an old D-link and I am just stunned. Did a bit of research before I bought and all the reviews I read were positive. First thing I did was install DD-WRT, which was very easy to flash using the web-interface, and it is officially supported by Buffalo. The wireless range with this router is insane. With my old D-Link I had coverage in most places in my house, with the signal being fairly weak when I went to the basement or out on my deck. With this router, I get 100% signal everywhere in the house, and a very strong signal outside. I'm tempted to go over to my neighbour a few houses down and seeing if I connect to my network there. Overall This is a very good router, and the DD-WRT firmware is amazing to work with. Would definitely recommend.

Cons: Changes in settings can typically require a lengthy reboot of the router

Pros: Wireless NGood rangeWDSEasy setup
Comment:
I picked up two of these routers with the intention of expanding network access throughout my house. The stock firmware allowed me to connect the two routers together over wireless, which allowed me to keep my computer and internet connection on the second floor while also having internet access in the basement. My only complaint about the routers is that any change in the settings can typically require a lengthy reboot, sometimes in excess of 2 minutes. This gets kind of annoying when you are first setting it up.Overall, this is a great router, once they work out the kinks in the official DD-WRT firmware, this should be an even better router.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: None so far....

Pros: Wireless N, good signal strength, fairly easy setup & stable.
Comment:
I got one of these recently, because the wife wanted wireless, to occasionally use her laptop without having to plug in, and so far this thing has been better than I thought it might be.Good points:- Strong signal,- Reasonably easy to set up,- Stable,- Can be used with the popular 3rd party DD-WRT firmware, and, at this point, will soon have a Buffalo version of that same firmware.I was somewhat hesitant to get one of these, since I thought it might interfere with the very close cordless phone(or vice versa), but it hasn't made any difference to phone usage. Given my limited experience setting up wireless, I also thought it might be a bit finicky in placement to get a decent signal, but this thing doesn't require placement up high on a wall(as the docs suggest), and doesn't even require me to tinker with the antenna(s), i.e. they're still folded on top of the unit, and we still get excellent signal strength at a bit of distance from the router! It seems some people are of the opinion that to have a stable router you need to have one of the popular 3rd party firmwares available, such as Tomato, or DD-WRT, and although those may add some functionality, this router is pretty darn stable out of the box - we haven't had any hiccups with it yet. On the other hand, the choice to soon use a Buffalo sanctioned DD-WRT on this router is one of the reasons I bought this unit, since DD-WRT must be popular for a good reason, and choice for the consumer is always a good thing.... kudos to Buffalo for doing that!My only complaint with this router, is the manual, which could use a little more explanation of how to set up some of the functions. In any case, I definitely recommend this router to anyone looking to go wireless, or for those folks currently using wireless G, and are wanting to move to wireless N.

Cons: Poor setup process

Pros: Great Signal StrengthReliabilityBadass looking Router
Comment:
I bought this router sometime ago for my townhouse. My main PC is located in the basement and I wanted something that would broadcast  a few floors up. Most town homes/ condo's have thicker walls in some places, so i was a little hesitant, but that wasn't a problem for this Buffalo. I can get faster speeds on this, while using the wifi on my phone, 2 stories up, and on the opposite side of my house. 3G cant come close. I've never once had a problem with it since the day i set it up. Its fast and looks bad-ass. The best looking router out there in my opinion. My only complaint was the setup process, it seemed pretty ridiculous. You must follow every step, and do it in the time frame accordingly. Now that DD-WRT is out for this, i would assume the setup process is quite improved. Not to mention that DD-WRT is probably a much better firmware then the one Buffalo previously had on it before.I give it 4 out of 5 because of the initial setup. Having DD-WRT before would have likely changed it to 5/5.

Pros: Well supported by DD-WRT community.
Comment:
After switching to VOIP I was looking for the best possible router I could find. After being unhappy with an Asus 15N, and a Linksys 160, I got a Linksys 320. WHile it seemed not bad, the QOS seemed pretty rudimentary and the signal to my living room from 40' away was 'Good'. So I thought I could improve things with the Buffalo. In the VOIP forums they were saying that Buffalo is switching to DD-WRT inJune anyway. SO when I got it, I tried to configure it and every time you entered a parameter you have to save it and it takes more than half a minute to refresh the page. On top of that, the interface is real poor, so it gets super annoying! So I flash it to DD-WRT. That went very well, and DD-WRT is so robust it can also be very complicated to set up. But after hours of reading the forums and days later, I finally got all the QOS and other settings tweaked to their best. However, nothing made the signal any stronger to my living room in spite of playing with all the settings as recommended in the DD-WRT and Buffalo Forums and placing it high in the room. And the DMZ would drop  the connection a few times each day, and then restore it a few minutes later. VOIP call quality actually seemed worse than the Linksys router. It fell off the shelf and one of the antennas pulled out of its socket. I thought great, now I can't RMA this damaged product, but it turned out that it is a ball and socket design and it clipped back in with no problem. In the end I was able to send it back and go back to using the Linksys 320 which I still had anyway. NCIX was great about allowing me to return it based upon the very reasons cited above. When Buffalo goes to offering a Buffalo specific DD-WRT as the standard OS for their routers sometime around this June it will be worth it to seek out a Buffalo router then. In the meantime I suspect that the reason they are on sale is to clear out the stock that sports the currently unpopular interface. It is not clear if you could buy one now and flash it in June with the Buffalo DD-WRT, but I suspect that will not happen, so best to wait.

Buffalo Nfiniti WIRELESS-N High Power Router / Access Point 802.11B/G/N Draft N Gigabit QoS USB NAS
Cons: Not as fast as reported. 802.11N very picky with several laptops, 2 out of 3 systems would only connect in G.

Pros: Easy to configureVery long range
Comment:
I bought this router after reading several reviews saying how good it was to replace my Draytek 2820VN. It took 5 minutes to configure it. I was running it in AP mode since I already have a router. Problem is that 2 of the laptops that I have are using Intel 4965AGN cards and are not able to connect in 802.11N with this access point. I am only able to connect in 54mb 802.11G mode. Another laptop which is running an Atheros successfully connects at 150mb. Even at 54mb, I am unable to transfer faster than 16-20 mbits/s. The PS3 (which is 802.11G) cannot properly receive a 720p video without jerking (even though there is a movie mode on the AP). It was able to read 1080p without a flaw with my previous AP.I've tried everything possible, from changing channels, setting 40mhz channel mode and so on but to no avail. Further reading online indicates that it is a common problem and that the AP is picky. I sent a message to tech support and got no answer, therefore this router is going back. On the bright side, configuring it was very easy, and it looks like a well built device, only the performance was not up to par.

Pros:Excellent features and performance
Comment:
Good little router overall, I had issues with client drops and other dhcp freezes in f/w versions 1.65 Good thing is Buffalo is working on a new firmware 1.71 that is already out in Alpha/Beta form in Europe and Asian countries that fixed most of my problems (95%). I would rate 5 stars if new final version of 1.71 or 1.72 fixes the issues listed above 100%.
