CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: none

Pros: quiet, inexpensive
Comment:
As quiet of a PSU as I've come across.430w power rating is just about the lowest you'll find these days but it'll probably work for most people who aren't sli/crossfiring. If you're concerned and aren't sure, look up one of these system power estimate calculators on the web (not going to be perfect, but good enough). My system uses 80w n idle, 100w 'doing stuff', maybe 160w gaming, 200w at *full* power. The most I ever saw was about 240-250 or so when I was really overclocking. (My system for reference: PhenomII quad core, 5770 video, 3 hard drives+1ssd)

Cons: 2 years warranty

Pros: Price/performance ratio after PMCorsair qualityQuiet
Comment:
This Corsair power supply is really good for the price after PM. It runs quietly. The only downside is the 2 years warranty instead of the 3 years they gave before.

I bought this PSU for a older build.AMD X2 6000+, 2x2gb ram, DFI M2RS Mobo, 3x500GB Sata HDD, 1x640GB Sata HDD, Asus 3870.For the price and quality build, this 430w PSU will and should be used for any basic build.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: none so far.

Pros: Sleeved cables, good length, good quality wiring, nice finish to the solid box. Very quiet fan. Feels like high quality stuff.
Comment:
I tried to look online for any reviews about this particular power supply, but in vain. It's a brand-spankin' new product, I guess.I was immediately impressed with it when I unboxed it. The clips for the motherboard power are easy to work with (I have a gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H) All cables are sleeved in decent quality flexi-fibre. According to the manual, this PS can attain 80%. I don't know the specifics behind that, but just the robust feel of this thing is a good sign it'll hold up just fine.Running 2 SATA and 2 IDE disks right now without a sweat. The rundown of the connectors:4 x SATA1 x 24 pin for the mobo1 x 8 pin for the CPU/Northbridge1 x 6+2 pin for PCI-E3 x Molex connectors1 x case fan connectorThe thing was almost too pretty to install in my case. But in it did go. So far, so good. Had to strain my ears to actually hear it running. See how things go after 4 days of constant power. If you're reading this before Aug 31 2010, this is the best value for a mid to low wattage PS. Great for non-cutting edge gaming rigs. 40 bucks Canadian is a steal.
