This power provide is wonderful. Modular and adequate energy to manage most builds. I did some research and it will handle anything I have plus lots of upgrades in the future like SLI. Solid product with no concerns. The motherboard and PCI-E cables are not modular. Not a con for me due to the fact they are necessary anyway, but some people today might not like this.

Despite the short 8-pin connector and the handful of non-modular cables this is all-around a spectacular PSU. Although I just got it, my old Corsair HX520 has lasted absolutely fine for over 5 years now and is still kicking. Corsair builds excellent, high-quality stuff; you can really feel the quality of this thing.

Quite stable, clean power. Stays cool below load and never ever complains. I have a 930 OCed, 3 SSDs in raid, ten fans, H70 and two 5870s in Crossfire and this PSU laughs at me. Lots of cable length to do what you will need and a good powedercoat finish. Overall, quite pleased. My only complaint is the actual cables are flat and separated into two runs for the same cables. This created my cable management excersise a much more difficult. Also, this was a single of the pricier PSUs in its class. For these two factors, I deduct and egg. General a really nice power provide for its class and rating.If you are seeking for 850W PSU and cant decide, this one need to be at the top of your list. It does almost everything that it advertises and doesnt break a sweat.

Great good quality. Excellent performance. Very cool packaging! None. This is a 1st class PSU. Had my eye on the AX850 but picked up the HX for a good sale price. The totally modular AX would make upgrading/swapping a lot less complicated but I just couldn't pass up on a great deal.

Incredibly quiet at complete load, handles watercooled and heavily overclocked i920 and GTX 470 in SLI. Looks wonderful, modular. Messy modular PCI-E cables, come on Corsair do a much better job...12V rail dips a lot more than some energy supplies I've used lately, but is nicely within ATX specs. Replaced a noisy CoolerMaster 1200W Silent Pro Gold with this unit, been very please, no genuine concerns.

I preferred this over the Seasonic M12 850W, I have both. Have enough 6+2pins for two, three videocards. Good build and feel heavy, the modular connections are flat, not braided. The CPU 8pin connector length is adequate but too short if you want to run behind the case. Include and extension for the 8pin would be nice.

Modularity! I've been making use of precisely similar unit which I bought 7 month ago and had no issues at all. Glad the unit I got not too long ago wasn't defective adequate to destroy my MOBO, CPU and HDs =) Just got a second Corsair PSU(same unit model) and when I installed it I got an "Overclocking Failed" error(initially system was overclocked). A lot of power for my overclocked i7-760, dual oc'd GTX 460 rig. The construct excellent on this power supply is great, and the modular cable system was uncomplicated to use, although when I finally got it installed there was still rather a bit of cable clutter, but that was far more of a case problem and lack of experience with cable management. Price tag! I wish it wasn't as expensive, but you get what you spend for.
