This thing is difficult, the seals are tight and its just the ideal size. The writing speed on my MacBook is about 5Mbps so its Ok. I am certainly satisfied. None for what I use it for. Great.

This usb device is excellent. I enjoy the feeling that if I drop it, it will not break. Lovely little style outdoors casing and my laptop operating windows XP detects it quickly each time. The transfer speed is a bit slow but I will not take it down stars simply because of the wonderful style of the item and affordable price tag. Great USB flash drive. Had mine for nicely over two months and I nonetheless have had no issues with it. Excellent purchase!!!

Seems strong, good seal and extension cable was nice. Bulky... and two for 2 bought had to be RMA'd inside a week of actual use. Drive suddenly get's "Write-protected" and can\'t be fixed. Corsair forums and Google show it is an known issue. Hope the subsequent ones operate.

It's indestructible. It feels really considerable and considerable when you're holding it. Transfer speeds are decent, I got just under 6MB/s 黼mb file moved more than just beneath two minutes). I can watch the film with no skipping or stuttering ideal off the drive, and even in search of in the movie is quite responsive. It's not blazing, but it's quickly adequate. All round, I wanted a flash drive that will last me forever and I consider I've finally got one. Also, it's stunning. The drive is cut completely; no rough edges, no low cost flimsy components. This is a seriously high-good quality product. I enjoy when firms place care into their merchandise; it would have been so effortless for Corsair to cut corners on construction but they didn't. Somewhat heavy. It's large for a flash drive; I'm a generic create fiveཇ" male and it's slightly thicker and a tiny longer than my thumb. I was going to put this on my keyring, but I keep a pretty fundamental car essential/home importantǘx RFID tag keyring and it definitely dwarfs all my other keys. I'm almost certainly going to get a separate carabiner for it and just take it when I want it (this cuts down on comfort although).I know a lot of people today make fun of the Corsair dog tags, but I assume they're a incredibly tasteful addition. This is a beautiful item that the company naturally cares about, or it wouldn't be so nicely crafted. The dog tags are like Corsair's signature, kind of like an artist's signature on their paintings. It would save Corsair funds not to consist of the tags, but they're giving us a token to show that they're proud of their brand and their item. If much more firms had been like this, perhaps all of my technology would last longer. I'm not saying I'll place them on my minimalist keyring, but I'll hold them! :DThanks, Corsair. I've enjoyed your products in the previous and am glad you're still undertaking great issues with your produc

Really sturdy casing. Appears to be well created and working with decent supplies. Slooooow read/write. Unscrewing the cap frequently makes horrific screeching sound unless you place some sewing machine oil on the threads.

Shock proof, water proof and machined aluminum, not plastic. If you've ever wanted a thumb drive you could place on your keychain, carry it with you constantly and by no means worry about any abuse it could sustain in the approach, appear no additional. Twice the size of an common flashdrive and a wee bit slow. Bombproof durability more than compensates for its two minor cons.

The case is incredibly powerful and thats about it So far Ive been through 2 of these drives. Thankfully the drive has a affordable warranty and you can get this replaced fairly easy. These are recognized to have an issue that causes the drive to go into read only mode, meaning you wont be capable to add added files. It took my very first drive about a month to switch to read only mode. After waiting 3 weeks for corsair to replace this drive, I ultimately got my second drive, this 1 only took about a week to break. The inconvenience of replacing this drive makes it not worth the acquire. I have had cheaper drives that have functioned way greater then this one particular. if you do make a decision to use this drive, transfer 1 file at a time. Manufacturer Response:I'm sorry but there seems to be a misunderstanding here. There is no recognized situation with the 8GB models. The concern only applies to the 32GB and 64GB models and that has been corrected with a firmware update. Please get in touch with Tech Help if you have any additional problems as we may require to try to do a failure evaluation.

Functions really effectively, withstood all sorts of abuse, never ever corrupted a file. The good quality of the memory is higher, which has been my knowledge with Corsair's RAM. The unit is constructed of three separate pieces: the drive, a metal sleeve/tube, and what seems to be a glued on (albeit strongly so) cap. I located this out simply because it broke into these separate and distinct parts, rendering it far from as impervious to water/dirt/damage as it once was.I'm in the military and bought it mainly because I required some thing that would be capable go out in the field and nevertheless function. It did for about a year and a half admirably. This device actually ought to be two machined pieces of metal. As it's not, I'm going to try one more manufacturer of 'extreme usb keys' and see how they do.

eight kajiggerbytes. Corsair reliability. Its pretty substantially the most hardcore jumpdrive, ever. If youre getting it its not since the cost or size... its the fact that it will out final you in a pot of boiling water. Kinda slow copying tiny files. Its bulky, but you can throw it at on coming website traffic without losing something. James Bond has 6 of these.

Insanely effectively built casing for this factor, which may be overkill for some, but my final thumbdrive fell victim to becoming dropped in my snowy drive way...then run over. This thing could take that beating and maintain on kickin. I friggin lost my keychain with all my keys AND this on it...Praying I'm able to come across it soon! Seriously, this is quite well built. The casing is extremely solid and the gaskets fit perfectly inside the casing. This seriously is incredibly durable.

Drive is tough, quickly, and reasonably priced! The integrated USB Extension cable is a fantastic thought on Corsair's portion due to the size of this device, despite the fact that anything with a flexible cord can nevertheless to subsequent to it. An additional flash drive, nonetheless, could not. Occasionally it is difficult to open, but I'm Genuinely attempting to come up with a con. For the little cost raise, this is a wonderful value if you frequently beat the tar out of your drive. I know my old a single that was not a tough drive got dropped a LOT, and the USB connector is starting to short out. For what I paid for this, it's Amazing. Terrific Newegg support and shipping, as usual.

This thing can take a beating. I have left it in the car or truck in the summer and winter, gotten it wet in the rain, and generally abused it given that i preserve it on my keychain. I have had two other drives that had been "convenient to place on your keys" and both had been crushed inside a couple months. I have had this factor for about 8 months now, im standing on it as i write this and it's entirely fine. Pretty slow transfer rates, pretty massive and expensive contemplating there are drives of the identical capacity that have more quickly information transfer and are half the price tag. The cons i have listed, whilst correct, do not detract from this drive's value in any way. It sets out to be a drive that can survive the apocalypse and it is. When we all blow ourselves up in a whirlwind of nuclear fire all that will be left are cockroaches and this flash drive. If you are not worried about this happening to your information, then you wouldn't be interested in this drive in the initially spot, but due to the fact you are reading this, you probably are. look no further, you have identified what you are seeking for.

Appears indestructible. Lots of storage for a low price (esp. w/rebate). While physically big, once the cover is removed it fits in every single computer system I've needed it to... A bit large, but so is a tank. As other individuals have noted, transfer speeds are slower than quite a few other flash drives out there now. When will it cease? I paid ์ for a .5gb drive just a couple years ago...On another note, this is the very first time in 7+ years that the 'egg took more than 2 days to deliver anything. This took 5 days - it was shipped by means of DHL (according to the 'egg), but USPS actually delivered it - unusual...

Rugged, all-aluminum style with a gasket to maintain moisture out. Rubberized rings on either finish for easy opening. Corsair integrated a chain with dog tag and rubber silencer. Adore their swag. Little bigger than I'd like for maintaining on my keys. Make certain you apply pressure when screwing the cap back into place. The gasket is so tight that it traps air inside of the cylinder.

Sturdy outer casing and relatively speedy details retrieval from the drive Not as hard as advertised...The leading of the drive is glued collectively with a crazy glue form compound...I am doubtful if this item can be placed underwater for any sustained period of time...becareful...It would have been better if the top would have been made as a single piece of metal.

Solid construction. Water tight, dust tight, two-year-old proof.Excellent performance for USB unit.Reliable. Not idiot-proof (or is this a pro?)Like all USB drives, the weak point is the connector - the unit will break if stepped on while inserted or if inserted into dirt, gravel, salt, acid, road tar. The situation is massive, yes, but it's less most likely to be lost. The lanyard is nice - I can discover the drive in my bag by feeling about for it.This unit has out lasted devices from a number of other makers.Overall performance is adequate - I haven't benchmarked it but substantial files copy with acceptable speed.Nevertheless, deeply nested/large folders can be very slow - but that's the fault of the FAT32 formatting, not the drive. I get around this by zipping folders just before transfer.

This is an great flash drive. It's really strong. It also has rubber seals about the USB port and an o-ring exactly where the cover screws onto the drive. Specs on the package say it is water resistant up to 200M, I believe. This drive is replacing a Patriot Xplorer that died on me. Though the Patriot was a bit more quickly, this a single seems to be a lot more rugged and dependable. I carry it all the time in my pocket so I needed one particular that can withstand some abuse and this 1 has absolutely fit the bill so far. No cons. Any piece of computer hardware that can double as a weapon like this point can is constantly a excellent factor! If you require a very good top quality USB drive that will withstand some severe sh*t, like becoming run more than with a GMC 1500 Pickup, and perform like a champ afterwards then get this undesirable boy. It really is a survivor!

Alright, I've had this thing for a month and I need to say I'm impressed with it. I have a problem with breaking issues. I place this on my keychain, it gets banged about everywhere and smashed all over the place. It functions flawlessly and like-new. The rubber gasket on the inside is superb top quality and seals the USB stick Extremely effectively. Got it in water currently, no dilemma. Had the base of a 100+lbs Christmas Tree fall on it whilst selling them over the winter, some scratches but no dents and no issues. Appears slow. I wish it had been a wee bit more quickly to be honest. It can be a bit bulky at instances but not an issue to me.

rock strong construction, water-tight, quite sturdy inside and out (no bendy cracky nonsense like plastic ones), bigger than your common flash drive but not unreasonably so the lil' rubber thingies do indeed come off as other individuals have complained (e.g. 4 out of 5 stars); write speeds are sensible but not extraordinary frankly, as a martial arts instructor, i love this issue - because I can't carry my combat kubotan important chain on a plain anymore, this is the perfect substitute; it's fantastic to have with you at all instances and is the best size ought to you ever have to will need it for self defense

Powerful, but I doubt you will use it in a dangerous mission for the fantastic of the country and you may possibly lose millions of lives if the information disappears. It's super awesome to show men and women. Speed are ok, my 2GB Sandisk Cruzer is quicker. Corsair = Great. Price. It's friggin massive. I don't really thoughts the size. It's also heavy, which I also don't care about. I tested it by moving 11 700MB films from a pretty fantastic spec'd computer system and it took about 15-16 minutes. I however cut the files to my other gaming rig personal computer and it took about 4-5 minutes to write them all. Clearly every person cares about write speed, at least I do. Ultimately, you ought to seriously buy it.
