Speed is eh, its a thumbdrive. Rock solid. Grips are good function. Major & Affordable, would buy again. None, make certain you attach the empty canister to your keychain not the other way around--otherwise youl loose the canister. Possibly they could have shrunk the container a tiny bit?

Superior item. Does anything it claims to do. None, following a quick repair. Rapid fix: secure loose rubber rings with silicone adhesive.

As close to indestructible as you can get.Metal case is difficult and durable. Supposedly waterproof to 200m despite the fact that I haven't tested that. None. Corsair high quality speaks for itself.

Added heavy duty durable usb drive. Very best read speed of all my usb drives. Slower write than my Corsair drives. This 8gb Survivor: read @ 29.9 mb/s, write @ 5.7 mb/s.8gb Patriot Xporter: read @ 28.five mb/s, write @ 7.7 mb/s.2gb Corsair Voyager: read @ 25.1 mb/s, write @ 12.four mb/s. Somewhat slow, but acceptable, write speed. This usb drive is ideal for an individual who subjects their drive to rough service.

Great drive, entirely indestructible, quickly as most, truly a wonderful drive all about. The thin inner USB tends to make it incredibly east to plug into tight spaces. Greater cost then typical. You pay more for the protective outer case, but when you own one particular you will not regret paying that added funds, it just feels like excellent.

Extremely sturdy, durable, and water proof! The moment I opened the packaging I peeled the decals off the casing then washed the whole stick with detergent and water. Not a single bit of water leaked inside the casing. Excellent. The drive also has keyring holes on both sides so you could pick which side to attach to your keys (drive side or shell side) Stickers look ugly, aluminum looks attractive. The rubber "shock absorbers" are held on to the casing by quite weak adhesive. The adhesive broke the rubber slipped when I initial opened the shell.

Durable outer case, rubber water seals, pretty rapid transfer speed. I've been using it as a boot device for an emergency Linux backup, and it appears to run that pretty nicely. Case is bulky, the small rubber bits covering the opening could come off in time, and I have a powerful suspicion that airport security may well choose to take it. For those who are dumb like myself, I'll say that the actual USB drive is in the aluminum housing. The drive itself is pretty narrow and will fit into most tight USB ports. On the other hand, the finish of the drive is basically the cap, and could block things near its finish. Corsair did consider this adequate to include an extension cable, so I don't see it as a key concern.

Adore the case, I really feel like a spy carrying it about. None, so far. I guess I didn't read the packaging effectively enough to see that it comes with about a 1ft extended male to femail usb for conditions exactly where you may possibly not be in a position to plug in the drive by it's self. It's not the shortest drive in the planet so the cord helps with that but it is one more factor to carry with you if you want.

Absolutely nothing but trouble following 3 months..Will not accept any information , absolutely nothing but errors...Spent added income on this and was not worth it...Got a Kingston at similar time for father and it has worked outstanding for half the value... Just not worth the extra money ...

I've had it for 2.five years, still works well. It's been on my key ring for that entire time, I lost 1 of the black rubber parts on the outside a although back, and it's been dinged up like crazy, but it nonetheless runs just fine. If this 1 ever dies on me I'll possibly get yet another (just larger lol). None genuinely. A little big and lengthy nowadays, but whatever.

Quick, practically indestructible. only con so far is that the cap can cause space troubles on pc's with a lot of USB devices connected. I have a brief USB extension that does the trick but I forget to take it on service calls occasionally :(

I love this drive. I bought 1 for myself and a four GB for my wife just prior to Christmas 2007, and I've employed mine quite a lot given that then (probably when per week at least). She makes use of hers numerous times per day for at least five days of the week. These things are durable, dependable, and very rapid for transfer rates. I've truly used mine to store a couple of virtual challenging drives (MS Virtual PC) which I then actively run from the USB drive. It's a small slow when I attempt to shut down the virtual server, but we're talking two gigs of info becoming compressed and written. Overall I'm very impressed with it! None definitely. I mean, it did get a small warm as I shut down a virtual machine and it wrote to the drive for about 3 minutes straight, but that's to be expected. Construct it with NAND technology or one of the new extremely dependable storage technologies. That with the durable case would make this drive invincible!

Durable, nice capacity Massive. Often won't fit in ports that are in tight locations. I've bought 2 of these. The first 1 is about a year old and is definitely showing cosmetic wear (it's kept on my important ring and goes everywhere with me). Finest flash drive I've owned. Would advise to anyone who wants a flash drive to last.

The case is incredibly durable. The components inside are inferior. I inserted this into a hub, put some information on it (a wiki+web server combo) and in much less than 24 hours the information was corrupted. I've been operating the exact identical program on a diverse brand for weeks, so I'm going to go back to using that. Thankfully I didn't lose substantially data due to the fact I back it up typically....onto a challenging drive. But the Survivor absolutely killed my files.

This bad boy has had a hell of a bashing.... incl an unplanned run through a heavy load wash Ɠhr cycle) in my washing machine and nonetheless came out working as it did prior to.... even the sticker 'survived'.I would love to see how it responds to the other tests but I may well pass on the 'baby hitting my head' test was informed the transfer rate was approx 19 megabytes (not bits) per sec which was why I chose this particular rugged drive.... by no means had quicker than 7megs transfer which I reckon is pretty slow even for the typical user these days. All drives really should be built this way.

Comment:
This flash drive is a terrific bargain, in particular contemplating its durability. It looks extremely properly-made -- all of its parts feel solid, and it has no rough edges. The waterproof seal looks very good as nicely, despite the fact that I have not tested it. The drive appears to be a number of orders of magnitude sturdier than a typical plastic flash drive. I'm certain that this drive could withstand moderate abuse (being dropped, sat on, or run through a washing machine) for numerous years. The electronic component of the drive also appears to work well - testing in Linux showed read speeds of about 16.five MB/s. Write speeds had been among five and 8 MB/s. On the drive I received, one of the two rubber rings on the outside of the drive is loose -- the narrow black band turns freely, as opposed to the wide band. This does not have an effect on the flash drive's functionality or durability at all, and is a minor flaw. This is a quickly and really well-built flash drive that need to last the average user a lot of years, if not a couple of decades.

I am seriously rough on usb drives and tend to kill them in 2-3 months. I bought this to see if I could maintain 1 alive a little longer than that. It's been almost two years now and it's still kicking. I have dropped this from roofs, left it in the rain for a couple of days, and have applied it virtually every single day without having a single problem. Quickly drive with massive files too. Slow drive with lots of modest files (i.e. 2000 5kb files) Not sufficient to cost it an egg, but it is slow with lots of little files. By far the finest rugged drive you can obtain.

Greatest USB flash drive I've owned. Particularly sturdy case...I'm convinced you could drop it on the floor & stomp on it & it'd be ok (wouldn't recommend attempting this @ home though) Incredibly fast read/write speeds. Supports each and every type of file I've utilized w/ it. Even supports compression software to save space. Compatible w/ my car stereo for a nice assortment of music @ the push of a button. None so far. Newegg shipping as soon as once again realiable & quickly.
