A solid flash drive with great capacity
Comment:
I work as an associate researcher for an invasive biologist and it's absolutely vital that I be able to produce any important documents on demand at work; this flash drive is easy to affix to my car keys and can securely carry all my spreadsheets, pdfs and misc so I never have to worry about producing a certain file on demand. Truly a great investment.

One bad mamba-jamba
Comment:
It's a very sad story. I've had a bunch (ok, maybe like 5) of other USB drives that have either broken off my keyring, had a damaged connector (due to losing the protective cap), or just fell apart completely. So I tell my buddy, 'I would pay big money for a USB drive that would just stay intact'. And then I bounced across this bad mutha shut your mouth on the interwebz... and I was like 'wuttttttttt'. For serious, it stays on my keychain like all the time and hasn't ran away from home once. Doubles as a kubotan self-defense weapon. And not only that, but it also gives you a big boost of confidence when your lady-friend is like 'is that a flash drive in your pocket?' and you can be like 'yup. 8 gig.' However, the performance of this drive is rather boring when you compare it to something such as the Corsair Flash Voyager. All things considered, this is the most dependable drive I've ever purchased. I carry mine with me on my keychain every day.

I have been looking at websites all over and waiting for the price on this to come down. This site was once again the first one to so. Great and FAST service.

.....I have to say, this thing is the bee's knees. First thing I did with it was throw it in the toilet to make sure it wouldn't krapp out on me if it got sweaty in my ACUs. Left it in there for a while then dug it out with a hanger to wash it off in the sink. Next thing I did was throw it as far as I could to see if it would break in half if I sat on it. Finally found it (thankfully it's shiny), and put it in a USB port. It's been working like a charm ever since. .....Can't go wrong with Corsair. :)

The great and the less-than-mediocre
Comment:
Tough case, good price. Everything is great about this except the speed. I run PortableApps from it and it is sloooooow. I don't mean ordinary slow; I mean it crawls. Most apps take a good 15 seconds to load. I would buy it again because of its toughness and the fact it's waterproof; but if you are most interested in speed look elsewhere.

Had this for a year. Never broken once. Love the fact that I could put this on a key chain and doesn't break off like other that I had(sandisk titanium). Real Sturdy, Durable, and stylish. Had mine Engraved. Read times are good, But write times are slower than molasses flowing in the winter. That is the only bad thing. Love it thought and would not use any other.

Can't go wrong with this USB, if you're like me and have ever forgotten to take something out of your pocket before you throw it in the washing machine. You needn't worry with this USB drive. Lightweight, fast, made of aircraft grade aluminum, water proof. Only thing, can't figure out what the dog-tag like chain is for...

Wow! Can you spell quality? When I opened the box I thought there'd been a mistake. Housed in a water proof aluminum tube, heavy duty, with a chain to keep it easily accessible. (One end unscrews for access). Works flawlessly! I will never buy another brand of flash drive. I forgot how excellent Corsair products are!

Simply perfect!! No more breaking memory sticks in your pockets - attractive metal enclosure with rubber reinforcement provides absolute protection and the twist off tube means no more losing the caps. The chain it comes with is an added bonus to the 8 GB of space. A++ Product!!

CORSAIR Survivor 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:-It is a little bulky-Loop for key chain might be the first to break. Showing signs of wear after moderate twisting-Certainly not cheap

Pros:-Water Resistant to 200m-Lightening fast-10 year warranty
Comment:
Considering the abusive nature of my work, I find the Corsair Survivor series a perfect match for me. The reliability, quality and performance are just what I would expect from a Corsair product. Highly recommended.
