Comment:
My expectations for this memory had been affordable. I anticipated the kit to attain a frequency of 1600Mhz and timings of 9-9-9-24-1T at stock voltage Ƒ.65V). Fortunately, this set exceeded my expectations by allowing tighter timings, specifically a CAS latency 8, to function at stock voltage 1.65V AND preserve its frequency of 1600Mhz without wavering. So my timings became 8-9-9-24-1T ƑT is command price) and are fully stable. For these that care, this memory is rated a ideal 7.9 in Windows Knowledge Index even at stock timings. Not a fair con, but a 'con' nonetheless: When testing CAS 7 at 1600Mhz, my luck ran out - this was totally unstable at 1.65V. With some substantial tweaking of timings, my encounter was this memory simply did not want to assistance CAS 7 at 1600Mhz making use of stock voltage. Price: when I built my rig about a month ago I bought this RAM at a nearby retailer, paid just about twice as a lot with neweggs competitor. I felt cheated.Reliability: runs fantastic, its extremely rapidly (not the quickest, but hey, even at 100 bucks this was not a terrible deal). AMD customers be ware. It performs, but not at the correct speed. I believed it was running a bit slow so I checked it in everest. Confident sufficient it was not running at 1600mhz but at 1333mhz. I had to manually go into my BIOS and set the appropriate speed. After that, WOW. My rig now loads actually seconds behind my buddy who runs an i7 rig with an SSD. For what he paid to get that performance, I got a better deal I have practically nothing negative to say. I purchased my first set at a shop, did not have it shipped. Worked fine. If it arrives DOA then I will blame poor shipping, not newegg of Corsair. The AMD problem was not a adverse, and not worth removing an egg. But it demands to be talked about so you can get the complete prospective from the RAM. I require to know how newegg can get away with this cost? I checked the model quantity and everything against my RAM I purchased at the store. RAM seems to be Much cheaper on newegg. I want I had identified that earlier, I could have gotten even greater Corsair RAM for a greater cost!

Worked and wasnt DOA! None so far. Threw these in a MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) board and they worked like clockwork at rated speed and timings. And after rebate there only อ for four gigs. How could you go wrong.

I bought this RAM back in April of 2010 for a new program construct and it has worked flawlessly--not even a hint of instability. Zero. I'm seeking into acquiring a different pair of sticks to bump my total RAM to 8GB. I see that they nonetheless hold it in stock, and at this price tag, I can\'t pass it up!

Good ram from a great corporation for a good cost. Had to RMA! I usually use Corsair in my builds and this is the initially time I have had difficulty.I had troubles with random crashing soon after installing this ram. Immediately after a month, 1 of the sticks failed all together. Corsair sent 2 new sticks and all is effectively. Removed one star for the RMA delay. For utilizing the words "frag" and "pwn" in the description, Newegg gets unfavorable eleventeen stars.

Affordable, otherwise one egg. Is NOT XMP compatible. Has troubles operating at 1600 MHz. Caused my new build to crash at 1600 MHz when I would run big Matlab simulations. I had to leave at 1066 MHz until I got new RAM and replaced it. Replaced with Crucial Ballistix, they are wonderful.-Employing Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r (rev two.) Mobo

Corsair memory constantly functions devoid of problems. As I have been acquiring memory for more than 15 yrs I have identified that you do not determine what mem to get but rather your chip and MB will suggest 1 for you and/or you can use a mem scanner for suggestions. Other posts speak about challenges - I have had zero. FYI:Per my Create noted beneath there are four Corsair's Mem offered with the concerns being a higher clock rate - 1600񳄥 or greater and a reduced Latency 9 down to 3. The decrease Lat and greater Clock will cost a lot more. I go for the higher clock with out OC as a value point and have not been concerned about the Lat #. That way I feel that I do not more than commit on Mem.This ASUS board supports 1600񳄥񳀚 and defaults to 1333 with a i5/i7 chip in it. NOTE: you will have to adjust the clock to 1600 in the BIOS for it to run at 1600. Other Intel boards may do the similar thing. This mem is excellent and stable but also you have to solution to OC to 2200. Could double the Mem to 8 in the future but not required -- NEW Develop- ASUS P7P55D- PRO LGA 1156 SATA6 USB3 BOARD- i5 760 LYNNFIELD 2.eight QUAD PROC- 4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DDR3 1600 MEM- THERMALTAKE SILENT 1156 CPU COOLER- WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA6 HD- CORSAIR GS700몆 Power Provide- Current ANTEC 900 BLACK STEEL CASE- Existing EVGA GE-FORCE 8800GT 1GB 16X VIDEO- Current WD 500GB HDEvery little thing from NewEgg over the years. It's RAM.. It's cheap.. Even tho it's matched for Intel.. It runs devoid of fail with my AMD method. None.. It works. I had to manually set the BIOS to have it read 800Mhz. Not a massive situation.. But if you are not even the slightest bit techy.. May possibly be an inconvenience.. Could also be an inconvenience if your MB does have a manual setting for the RAM.

I was building my initial new rig and came across these memory stick on Newegg internet site. They looked like what I was looking for, so I purchased them. All the specs had been appropriate. I got them in only a couple of day; constructed the rig and installed the ram. Completed OS install pushed begin button and up came the new rig . I have not ever owned a system this rapidly prior to and I know the ram has a lot to do with that. I ran the system for 2 day straight only off for updates to install and back on. I have had the method on 20 hours a day considering that then and have had not bit of trouble. I am in the course of action of acquiring 4GB a lot more for my new rig from Newegg that is what I consider of these Corsair XMS3. The only CON is I can only get my rig to clock them to 1500, but that is the limitation in the BIOS. These are actually fast and nicely constructed ram by Corsair. I believe I got a fantastic deal on them and not just the price tag the ram, also.

Got this actually affordable. Initially shows up as a 1333MHz RAM. Got a WEI (Windows Expertise Index) of 5.9. Seems low. Then adjust the multiplier to 8x in the BIOS. 8x 200MHz = 1600MHz. No other adjustments produced. My WEI shot up to 7.5. Sweet! Recognized as 1333MHz RAM. Need modifying the multiplier to 8x in BIOS.

At this time, I can not list something positive about this memory. I ordered it in January and have yet been in a position to use it. Memory was installed and observed in bios. The timings, voltage, and speed were not detected correctly. I manually put in all settings and proceeded with bootin gthe program. Computer system worked fine for about an hour then began getting random blue screens. Sent the memory back to Corsair twice paid for shipping the 1st time and received negative sticks in return. One stick would function, one would be undesirable. I have under no circumstances had such a undesirable encounter with Corsair. I have purchased from them several times in the past, but I have also by no means dealt with the RMA system. From original obtain both sticks were undesirable, on the 1st RMA I only had one bad stick, and the second RMA had one poor stick. I refused to pay for shipping on the 3rd RMA mainly because it simply rediculous that I must preserve performing this. Contacted Corsair a week ago and they had been friendly and told me they are submitted a request to have a shipping label printed. They mentioned I ought to get an e-mail shortly with the label, I am still waiting on that e-mail. In the imply time I caught some Essential Memory on a shell shocker, popped it in and it works like a charm. I am not positive if I will obtain Corsair once more, but this has hurt my opinion on them. As generally Newegg was awesome, received the memory (Although Undesirable) with in a days time. Way to go Newegg
