Genuinely nicely constructed piece of gear. Looks great. Fan is quiet, plus involves some generic thermal paste in case you will need some. 4-pin power plug enables mobo to monitor/throttle fan RPM. Purchased two of these in the final month. Hex-nuts are fairly challenging to get began. They also include a tool-adapter for cranking the nuts with a screw driver, but I failed to notice it until after I got my ratchet out. This segues into the fact that the installation directions are fairly poor. FYI sucks air in from the top rated and vents down over the mobo surface.

Dropped my temperatures by 14C - running i5 750 at three.9 and the temperature does not go larger then 55C on a high load. Installation was seriously straightforward if you have antec 1200 - I did not have to take the mb out. the attachment is really safe!!! enjoy it none

My Athalon II X2 was running 112-130 Degrees F with OEM sink & Fan. Proves what a difficult processor AMD makes. This cooler brought the temps to about one hundred F instantly. 2 Added VANTEC TD8038H 80mm Case Fans were required to obtain typical of 90 degrees F. Right after-believed installation was pretty challenging, but do-able. An extras couple of hands would have been good. Picture book guidelines Not really beneficial. The reviewer who stated this is a noisy cooler need to be super sensitive. It Is Quiet...specially in comparison to a pair of the above mentioned fans running at about 1ǚ-1Ǚ speed.

Operates like a charm! Low, steady temps and quite quiet!Great 3u heatsink! Installing essential a bit of work. Lowered my temps by five C and is orders of magnitude quieter than my final heatsink.Appreciate it! Extremely recommend!Fits completely in my Thermaltake Lanbox Lite.

Good for the correct circumstance. Low profile for clearing case fans, but sets high sufficient to clear most RAM sticks. Can be oriented in unique directions for clearance or esthetics. Copper base completed to mirror polish. Downdraft cools memory sticks and other components of board such as NB. Not quite loud. Could not be the finest selection for some cases. The fan blows straight down against the MOBO and in some cases there may be a challenge with the hot air swirling back up and getting picked up by the fan for one more pass by way of the heatsink. This would sooner or later raise temps. Also the directions aren't incredibly helpful. They are in about every language ever invented, even Hungarian, and my wife, who is Hungarian, says they are even worse than the English section. Chingarian? In my laptop I have the PSU with it's 120 mm fan just above the CPU, an 80mm fan blowing straight out the back of the case just behind CPU, yet another 80mm fan on top just ahead of CPU, and a different 80mm blowing out the side just ahead of MOBO. There is NO opportunity for any swirl impact to take location. Air goes by means of heatsink, hits MOBO, and is evacuated out from behind, above, and in front. CPU runs at 32C at idle, and under no circumstances gets much above that. This point functions extremely nicely with the right setup. And it doesn't dominate the inside of the case like some coolers. It tucks in surprisingly compactly for such a large cooler. I consider most RAM will fit under it, but anything with high fins may need the inside stick mounted ahead of the cooler. Regular height RAM install effortlessly with cooler in place.I propose this cooler/fan option extremely but recommend you analyze your airflow pattern. Use with Arctic Silver5.

Keeps my AMD Phenom II X3 720 good and cool, even OC and cored unlocked. I have two slim 80mm fans attached and not even run at complete speed. Large! if you have space, this is the way to go. The heat sink does so well on its personal, but with the fan really gives you the likelihood to see what your CPU is made of and how far you can push it. You can use the 120mm fan it comes with or stack two 92mm or 80mm side by side of your personal with the supplied hardware

Price - Incredibly Nicely PricedExcellent - Seems to be a extremely solid fanIntegrated Accessories - Consists of every thing you need to have to set up (less artic silver, IIRC)Efficiency - Def. saw significant improvement right after installation None atm. I have had this fan for various months and it is nonetheless performing. 1 factor I noticed is that the fan did not really lower my regular operating temp by more than a degree or two.The actual efficiency shows under load. I saw a big improvement when really functioning my machine where it would reach as high as ㅯ degrees, not it doesnt look to go past 40, ever.Crucial note, the screws that attach this fan to your MoBo are REVERSED threaded. I was scratching my head for abit, till I realized.

*Extremely simple to install on a Micro ATX board (MSI 760GM-E51 AM3)*Rear retention plate has thermal tape pre-applied for contact with Mobo*Cool's a number of degree's cooler than stock AMD Athlon 2 dual core CPU cooler*Entire base where speak to with CPU is met is absolutely copper as are the five heat pipes connected to it*Comes with sliders is you want to use two 80mm or 2 92mm fans so you can slide fans to far right to cover Ram also or to the left if you need room, I personally just use the integrated fan as it blows up to 70 CFm and is incredibly quiet when place into full speed*Stock fan blows all above the MOBO and ram, and I have 4 2gb Patriot G2 1600Mhz DDR3 and retain them cool None in nearly a year of use. *Most currently can tell by searching at the included hardware in the pics, but for these that are new to this you ought to take away the motherboard to install its rear retention plate... unless you are lucky to have a case with a slot in your mobo backboard. *Includes shock absorbers to place among cooler feet and mobo which is a plus.*Don't hesitate to obtain, you won't be sorry. I would have gladly spent twice as a lot for the low temps and durability it gives from moving to a number of unique rigs I have built in the last year.

Excellent cooler for my Core i-5. Keeps the motherboard a small cooler also with its wide fan. Almost certainly be even better with the dual 92mm fan set up if you have space for it. The unit sits low allowing a lot of space for case mounted side fans. None genuinely. This cooler was as well wide for my AMD 1100T set up and covered the 1st 2 DIMM slots on my Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 board. I ended up going with a Cooler Master Hyper N520 for it and kept the GeminII S on the Core i-5.

Low profile for its performance level.....Quiet operationEven match my dfi dk x38 series mobo.....cpu socket is surrounded by heatsinks and heat pipes. Angled design permitted to fit with no problems at all. Have to take away motherboard to install. Minor pain when upgrading cooling solution on an currently built system. socket 775 quad core Q9550 operating at 3.4ghz......took my load temps from 60degrees (stock hsf) to just 46degrees. Now that's an improvement.

Very good style for airflow to surrounding elements. Ackward to install. Hard to keep in one position whilst getting the below-mobo bracket in location so repeatedly lost seal w/ the CPU, tends to make me slightly worried about air bubbles being trapped in the thermal paste. Be certain to connect each the four-pin power connector near the cpu (if your mobo has one) and this fan's connector to the mobo Before placing the mobo into the case; the sheer width of the heatsink and fan will make it impossible to reach those when the mobo is in the case. I've utilized this twice now in two PCs in the past month. Pleased w/ the efficiency but installation is ackward at very best. I suggest having a 2nd set of hands about to help hold it all steady.

Seriously nice moderately priced cooler. Quite good cooling for a compact heat sink. It reduced my max cpu temp by three degrees C beneath 100% load in prime95 (vs. stock heat sink AMD Phenom II x4 965)Exceptional finish on the copper plate. I was all set up to do some heavy duty lapping when it arrived but I was pleasantly surprised. I only necessary to polish it up a bit. The machining grooves were virtually nonexistent.Quite tough design. I really like the back plate setup and the fact that the back plate is metal. It'll take some decent torque devoid of damage to the motherboard or the heat sink assembly. This was not essential in my case but they even notched out a side to accommodate ram appropriate subsequent to the cpu though it wouldn't do much excellent if you have substantial heat sinks on your ram sticks. The width could be deemed a con to some but it's apparent how wide it is when it utilizes a 120mm fan. Some may find the back plate annoying because you have to take out your motherboard. A extremely good heat sink for the price tag. I am becoming a fan of Cooler Master items. They seriously pay consideration to detail.

Great aftermarket heatsink. Just make confident if your just making use of the cooler itself and mounting it to an 1156 processor that you use the flathead and not rounded screws. LOL i made that error due to the fact this was my initially built but right after finding i was getting 99C/ 209F degree on my processor i knew one thing was wrong. So took it off Cautiously checked it and noticed it was going onto the processor i5 760, so i just switched the screws out and place on some Arctic thermal paste again soon after getting rid of the rest of it off the processor and bottom of the heatsink and it now sits idle 42C. So just make confident you dont rush yourself... none

Keeps my rig cool at 30 C beneath regular conditions, seriously quiet. Tough to mount if you don't know what you are executing. Simplest way to mount this heatsink: Turn it upside down with the mounting pins attached, put your mobo on it in the appropriate orientation, attach using the supplied nuts. This being my initial create I tried the actually difficult way and I hope this info helps other individuals who are new to DIY builds.

Big radiator and lots of heat pipes.Solid mounting to motherboard.Large 120mm fan for the heatsink.Comes with brackets to run 2x 92mm fans or 2x 80mm fans. I think that would be useful so you could hang a fan off the side to cool the RAM that's generally ideal subsequent to the processor. Directions are a slight bit vauge. I purchased this cooler worried that it wouldn't clear the northbridge heatsink or the ram heat spreaders, but I ended up acquiring a lot of room. You can mount it at any right angle orientation if the heatpipes get in the way on one side or the other.Get in touch with plate with the CPU is copper, heatpipes are copper as nicely. my 2.8ghz phenom II is OC'd to three.5ghz ideal now, this cooler keeps temps at 25*c at idle and 42*c to 43*c tops when running the AOD stress test

See overview title. There isn't a superior-performing "top-down" CPU heatsink/fan to be identified, especially at this price. Just verify out a handful of evaluations.Keeps my i3-540 under 25C (used Arctic Silver five and spread a thin layer with an old credit card.Desirable look for these of us with windows/lots of ventilation holes.Quiet fan.Universal mounting hardware; even comes with a tiny phillips screwdriver socket "attachment" for tightening the nuts. :P No cons that can be blamed on this product, but see under... Purchased this HS/F for a mini-ITX build because I'd read that other people had applied it in such builds, and right after reading all the testimonials, this was -the one-.Difficulty is, with the Gigabyte H55N-USB3 motherboard, there's only one particular way to set up it devoid of interfering with the PCI Express or RAM slots. The only way I could install the heatsink onto the motherboard was with the heatpipes gently pressing against the installed graphics card (an ASUS GTX460 1GB).In this certain orientation, and s I had taller RAM heatsinks than typical (Mushkin "Ridgeback"), I had to use a dremel to file off a little (about 3Ǟin.) section of the fins to make it possible for space more than the RAM.All-in-all the create is operating excellent.I'm not terribly comfortable with the reality that the heatpipes are pushing on the graphics card a bit, and I might opt for a new heatsink if I can discover one particular that fits greater, but the heatsink itself is not to blame. It's a excellent performer if it fits... and where it doesn't.

Value. Yes, you can commit twice the value on a Noctua cooler which will probably give you marginally cooler temps than this. But for 40 bucks I really feel this is not a negative deal at all.Cool. Beneath full anxiety operating Prime95 I get to about 47-48*C on my PII x555 operating at 3.7ghz. In comparison with the stock cooler, it'd be about ten-11 degrees much more. Not undesirable at all.Quiet. I hated the buzz to the stock cooler and I wanted to defend my investment for moderate overclocking. To the reviewer who stated this has a loud fan: no, truly it isn't. I have a tiny mATX case and it sits proper by me and my HDD and 5770 are just as loud. I'd guess it's in the range of 25ㅖdB. It's extremely nice. I purchased this at a neighborhood shop due to the fact these elements are generally a gamble. Sure enough, the fan on my original obtain died right after it BARELY nicked my finger. I had to pull on the power cord and bend it a particular way to get it to perform once more. No thanks. Returned, got a new one particular no issue, and the second 1 functions just fine.Make certain to get new thermal paste. The stuff that comes with this seems kinda negative and there's no difficult plastic card to spread it on smoothly. Just a flimsy piece of brown paper.

Lowered each the idle temp and operating temp. Idle went down two-3 degrees and complete load temp went down about 10 degrees from the stock cooler. Also a little quieter than the stock cooler. Almost silent, uncomplicated install, low profile, substantial fan that cools my ram too. It says intel with comparability with AMD, I installed it on an AMD AM2 socket with no any concerns. Clean install, and even the heatsink grease it come with is decent. hmm.... no real cons, but some men and women may possibly find it uncomfortable to replace the mounting bracket which Have to be completed. I wanted a quiet fan that would cool my program, and this was better than I expected by far. I looked about at the other rates and found this one particular to be the very best for the price tag. It did not disappoint.

Good heatsink, with a huge fan. Mounts fine with LGA1155. Keeps my i7-2600k cool. This factor is Enormous. If I ever have to replace my initial-slot-mounted DIMM, I'll have to unmount the heatsink. The mounting process for LGA1155 is quite annoying. I've not seen an aftermarket cooler which expected mounting a plate to the back of the motherboard before... but then once more, I haven't built a new system in 5 years.
