Comment:
I bought this CPU fan hoping it would do its job and preserve quiet performing it -- and that is precisely what I got. I can't believe how quiet this fan is. Even in the rare circumstances that it gets more than 60 degrees, I can barely hear it. This is the initial CPU fan I have ever installed, and it was really straightforward. Directions we're great, incredibly straight-forward.Great cost. Just can't go wrong. None so far. I have only had this fan for a couple days, so I can't speak on the longevity of it. However, if it stays the way its working for the subsequent year or two I will be pleased.

It does a a lot far better job that the stock 1155 cooler, fits quite a few distinct sockets such as SB. Extremely good cooling, but a lot more manageable in a smaller case, also clears Ripjaws X effortlessly if you turn the heatpipes away from the memory side. None.

In conjunction with some OCZ Freeze, dropped my temps at stock a excellent 10 degrees. Really quiet fan. Excellent selection for air cooling in cases/systems exactly where space is a premium. Somewhat annoying to mount and install. Have to apply thermal paste to cpu, hold mobo on it's side, mount heatsink and bolt on by means of backplate.Doable, just annoying.

I bought these because I planned on over-clocking my i3 processor, and it undoubtedly keeps it cool. It is quite quiet. Due to the fact it is so bulky, it was a bit hard to install, getting someone else hold it whilst attaching it to the mobo worked out nicely. mainly because of its size, the side air duct on my case had to be removed and I had to remove the fan to install a second HDD.

Combined with some arctic silver five, dropped temperatures on my i7-860 by pretty much 20 degrees from the stock cooler. Now it idles around 30, 50 below load. The heatsink is not also tall, fits perfectly in my nmediapc 6000B case, even lines up the fan with the best vent holes.Cools the ram and the complete motherboard as well. Very good seeking, with a cool hologram on the fan... Somewhat confusing installation. Can't be performed immediately after motherboard installation. Didn't sit exactly right on the CPU, so I had to use two of the rubber washers that came with it to make it flush. Easy install. Allowed me to OC my AMD Phenom II x2 (now an x4) 555BE to three.7ghz from three.2ghz, although keeping temp below 60C running prime95. It didn't block any of my DIMMs like I thought it might. none. If you're worried about the Hyper 212 fitting in your case or blocking side fans, this is an outstanding option.

I bought this to put onto my shiny new AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (overclocked to three.3GHz), along with some AS 5 thermal compound. Stock, this CPU does not get over 23C, and at max load (all 6 cores maxed out) it doesn't touch 40°C! It's good and little, fits in my NZXT Lexa S with plenty of area to spare.Big 120mm fan assists preserve my RAM cool, too. Consists of fan brackets to mount two 80-92mm fans. Fan can be kinda loud, not overbearing even though. Can't take it out to dinner with no getting weird looks... -AMD Phenom II X6 1055T two.8GHz-SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4860 1gb GDDR5-Hitachi 250gb HDD-ASUS M4A785-M Micro-ATX motherboard-HEC X-power Pro 600W-Windows 7 Household Premium 32-bit-3gb DDR2 800-NZXT Lexa S

- Fits in any direction- Clears chipsets and dram with ease.- Multi fan selections- Incredibly quiet, however great air flow.- Superior Construction, no nonsense design and dependable for years to come. Mounting plate "may" trigger mounting troubles for users with no a cutout spot for changing the cpu cooler in their case. Note the mounting plate may possibly hit the inside of the case causing your mobo to not screw down evenly.Integrated Thermal Paste is mid grade at ideal, get ArticSilver Therm Paste when you obtain this unit. If you have a CPU cutout in your case for changing cpu coolers this fan/heatsink kit is for you. Dont be concerned about your northbridge heatsink or dram hight. If you have stock hight ram the heatsink will nevertheless clear the ram even if the ram is touching the factory heatsink mounting bracket. Very same goes for the northbridge controler. The way the heat sink mushrooms out from being narrow on the base to wide on the leading, its in fact going to be challenging to find a mobo that this heatsink/fan will not fit on.Will Advise this unit to absolutely everyone.

looks good, reasonably quiet (not silent) Does not function with MSI P55-GD80 motherboard! The cooler has this metal bracket which goes on the backside of the board, however MSI has placed 2 incredibly tiny chips correct where the bracket needs to be contacting the board.

Keeps the CPU cool and the based on the board layout the GPU gets some cooling too. Quite rather. The fan speed does not go over 800 rpm so not loud at all. I have this in a HTPC since the Intel Retail fan was just too loud and the pc would must down due to heat. Runs fantastic now. None Not challenging to install, but will need to take your time at it and read the directions.

On a Xeon E3110, dropped the nominal temp 10C, though the CPU/Case fans barely break a sweat. Prior to this, CPU would hit 50C at idle, then the fans would go into jet-engine mode just to keep that temp. Major. Had to ditch the airflow hood in the CSE-833T-650B case, but at 3U what are you going to do. This heatsink was one of the few that would fit at all, so losing the hood wasn't significantly of a downside.Covered two of the mobo mounting screws which produced reassembly a trick. But a horizontal fan arrangement was the only thing that would function in this case, so again, tough to keep away from. Needs backplate on LGA775 installs. Less complicated to do if you haven't put the mobo in but. Had to pull mine then put it back. Not a big deal, in all probability took less time than fighting those friggin LGA775 clip mounts (HATE those factors).

Keeps my i5 670 nice and cool. It's quite quiet. Even when running Crysis at max settings, this factor is nearly silent. It also keeps my other elements cool, specifically RAM(it's correct under the fan) Incredible value! Get this item! It's kinda massive, but not a big deal. The shiny sticker in the middle is off center...

Bolt-on style. Sturdy and trustworthy, although more complex to do and could involve removal of motherboard for installation. So that could be a minor con based on your circumstance.Short enough for shallow circumstances like the AeroCool M40On a Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H Board, I could quickly fill all four RAM slots with G.Skill Ripjaws with out hitting the cooling fin.Silent, even at full speed. (Using the standard 120mm) Slightly more difficult install time/skill required.Ram any taller than the Ripjaws (center region) would be a dilemma in the closest position. On the other hand most boards will let you use either channel pair when working with only 2 sticks so this probably won't be a challenge unless you're motherboard is restricted or you want to fully populate and definitely the ram is enormous. Normal size and even mild heat covers should not be a problem. Kept my AMD Phenom X3 740 below 37 deg C for 8 hours of Prime95 in torture mode inside the AeroCool M40 case (see my review there).

This cooler was a fantastic obtain. It dropped my idle temp from 32c to 24c and temp under load from 45c to 32c. This things is a beast and the gloss black fan and five copper cooling pipes appear wicked reflecting LEDs. Quite content with this cooler. The directions are a bit of a discomfort to follow and I had to eliminate my motherboard to install it.

Have utilized this CPU cooler in 3 socket AM2+Ǚ builds on Gigabyte boards inside of Cooler Master Elite 360 circumstances with excellent ease. (The cooler is installed per typical, and the cpu fan is removed from the cooler and installed as an intake fan on the case's "side/rear" 120 mm fan opening given that the cases are all used as desktops rather of towers.) - Fantastic size, not too substantial- Best 120mm fan is interchangeable with 2x 80ኸmm fans- My core i7 860 loaded at 74C with the stock cooler, now it loads at 53C at stock speed, 65C @ 3.4 ghz OC. - Really quiet even at 100% fan speed. Almost inaudible when at lower speeds. - Not too hard to mount and is compatible with many unique sockets (intel and AMD alike). - The mounting bracket is a little thick, the mobo doesn't rather sit flush in the case anymore, but it doesn't seem to be a challenge so far.- The cooler is a tad wide so if you have really tall RAM it could interfere with the first slot. I didn't have this concern. I purchased this mainly because it's the excellent height. Most CPU coolers are either particularly tall or extremely brief. The short ones of course have mediocre cooling. This cooler won't beat the greatest ones out there, but it does exceptional without having becoming too tall for my case.

Idle temps run at 30C and full load runs at 42C. This fits fantastic on my ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo with 4 G-Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK memory. All four of my RAM slots are employed and the heat-sink and fan doesn't touch the RAM in the first slot. In the instructions for the Intel install it doesn't mention the Anti-Vibration Pads but it says to use them for the AMD install. And in the Cooler Master YouTube video is says to use them for the Intel install. Need to they be applied for the Intel install or not? Cooler Master, if you're reading this can you clarify the use of these pads for the Intel install for us? I have 6 fans in my case so I didn't notice an boost in noise.
