I like the low profile, higher top quality as nicely as the way it connects to the motherboard. Keeps temps nice and cool. None As far as I'm concerned, the only form of heatsink I want on my processor is one that is attached to the motherboard. I don't recognize people today who build computer systems and would want something else. This is a much far better choice. Quite safe. No worries!!

- Comparatively Quiet- Excellent overall performance: 42C below load at three.8GHz with Phenom II 965 C3 stepping inside an Antec P180B with four of the new 9 blade Cooler Master fans- Blows down on mobo and cools power regulation stuff + RAM- Fits in any regular sized situation given that it isnt a tower cooler- Easy Installation. - It is major. Probably won't fit on mITX mobosNo manual fan controller integrated, but I don't think it's necessary It performs extremely effectively along with Arctic Cooling MX-two to maintain my CPU, mobo, and RAM temps in verify I got mine for 33 bucks free of charge shipping so I would say it was a wonderful buy.

Compact -- Took some modding to the chassis but fit in my Microfly mATX situation. Nicely built, bottom plate is solid copper with absolutely minimal grooving. Extremely sturdy. Fan is a common coolermaster and easy to swap out for a single with LED's if that's your issue. Great and quiet. None I didn't obtain from NewEgg, a single of the handful of instances I didn't because I necessary it ASAP. Was overclocking an AMD 1090T in a mATX case, and the Ultra X-Wind 120mm heatsink/fan was just not cutting it. I was idling at 29 and extremely speedily hitting 60* operating Prime 95 with the aforementioned setup. replace with this cooler, I now idle at 20-21* and have however to hit 50*. Overclock is at three.eight ghz appropriate now and will give me room to go greater now.

- Really Rather- Cools much more then just CPU- Multi Fan Alternative- Can be turned numerous directions to assistance wide assortment of Mobo layouts.- Most importantly Cools CPU particularly properly. Back Mobo mounting bracket could hit your mother board mounting tray stopping you from evenly screwing your board down unless you have a cut-away location in the tray for rapid cooler bracket transform outs. Cools my AMD Phenom 9850 125w chip to 23.5C on idle and max 35C on full load right after hours of game play or pressure testing. By no means goes above 35C (㆗F) with outside air at room temp ࿨F).I highly suggest this cooler to everyone developing a new program. Due to the design of the heatsink and the clearance around the cooling fins. Its going to be tough to locate a motherboard that this cooler can not fit. Even if Northbridge chipset or RAM is butted proper on the original factory cooler mounting bracket, this heat-sink will nonetheless clear most RAM by a complete centimeter. Dont be scared to try this cooler out. You will be shocked how significantly space you will still getting making use of this regardless of its big look.

Low profile heat sink, fits really nicely in my Zalman HD503, fan mounting brackets for ƒ) 80ኸ mm fans is wonderful. Quiet and cool when u get rid of the stock fan. The stock fan is terribly loud. All the reviewers who stated the stock fan is whisper quiet is either lying, didn't test it under load, or by no means actually heard what quiet seriously sounds like. I checked other skilled evaluation internet sites that compare cpu cooling and they all agree when the cpu is below load this fan sounds louder than any fan I ever heard. Yes even louder than the stock cpu fans. The fan mounting brackets are excellent. I had 2 added 80mm fans lying about and applied them to replace the stock fan until my 120 mm Noiseblocker fan arrives. What a distinction, temperatures dropped eight°-ten°C and yes the dba dropped considerably. Unfortunately since of the way the fans are mounted I had to get rid of my graphics card from the x16 slot, it will block it if you are making use of a msi 890gx micro atx mb. No massive deal just moved it to the x8 slot till my fan arrives. All round not what I anticipated for the price. If your hunting for quiet, low profile cooler, I would seek the Scythe. If you want quiet, trustworthy, low profile, and bang for your buck appear for the Scythe Zipang. Newegg does not carry it but if you're only gonna acquire from Newegg any Scythe cooler will do as they have some of the highest ratings in several review internet sites and are cheaper than this product. This will be the last time I trust any reviewer from Newegg unless I do my own study. Do the investigation initially then check reviews it will save you the headache of what I am going through. This thing runs really quiet, and my temp at stock timings with a PhenomII x6 1090T is only 34C. Looks effectively constructed and has sufficient clearance for GSkill Ripjaws memory sticks in the 1st two slots on my GA-890FXA-UD5. Installation demands removing mainboard from chassis, but overall it goes fairly smoothly. Took about 10 minutes. I seriously like this cooler for it's low-profile and it cools almost as good as the Hyper 212 Plus, but without the 6-inch towering height that precludes the 212 in some mid-tower chassis.

Quiet. Almost certainly very good for a case with far better airflow & a low TDP processor. Sufficient for non-hardcore use. Idles about 40c. Unable to preserve a Phenom II X4 945 cool even though encoding video in handbrake with all 4 cores @ 3. GHz. Temp gradually climbs to ㅾ. The CPU truly shouldn't go over 60. Genuinely unable to maintain 1 cool although starting a VM with all four cores - temp jumps to 85. SFF case, this is all that would fit. The performance is about the exact same as the stock heatsink beneath load, except the stock was screaming at 6750 RPM, whilst his one tops out at 2000 RPM. Idle vs 1000. I'd be completely content if I could get it to spin faster for when I genuinely necessary it to, whilst enjoying silent computing for casual tasks.

Keeps my I5 three.3ghz quad running cool even through intense WOW (World of Warcraft) play and prolonged video editing/processing sessions. Also it's type of cool to have one thing sitting on your mobo that looks like a small block Chevy with shimmering copper headers LOL!!The back plate gives plenty of support but be conscious that unless your situation has a cutout behind the cpu location, you will have to pull your mobo to install this monster. Also, install your RAM *before* installing this cooler, especially if your ram sticks have heat sinks on them! I must also mention that this cooler runs really quietly, even when the system is being becoming pushed. Kudos to Cooler Master!!! Nada, nyet, nein, none! 1 issue this cooler taught me is the value of reading feedback from other item owners. Like someone else talked about in an earlier assessment, I as well learned the difficult way about RAM placement before installing this cooler. I had to uninstall the cooler since my RAM slot 1 did not have enough clearance under the cooler to install my G.Skill F3-12800CL9D RAM.

Bought this for my newly built AMD (AM3) HTPC. The stock fan on the heatsink that came with the CPU was loud and obnoxious for a program on an entertainment center.Install for this went smooth. I had to pull out the motherboard, reapply the thermal compound immediately after removing the old heatsink and install this point. The install is greater with two men and women, a single to hold the motherboard, the other to fasten the nuts.Right after installing, the noise level dropped substantially. All I hear is the quiet movement of air in the case. The greatest component is that the processor runs 10c cooler! None at all! I'm running this in an mATX situation with a pull out motherboard tray. The heatsink fit on the motherboard and over the memory (the memory even has heatsink fins) while the tray was out of the situation.I slid the motherboard tray back in and still have plenty of space from the PSU and the heatsink. Even with the restricted space, this factor was designed to fit in little spaces, offer amazing cooling and little-to-no audible noise. Would suggest for any person.

Low-height resolution for tiny instances. Fan cannot be reversed -- airflow blows down. Be conscious! This is an update to my preceding evaluation. Thought I would post it so others don't encounter the same complications I ran into. Essentially, I have this cooling an i5-750 OC to three.1 in a Lian Li V-351 case. My power provide fan is directly more than the CPU cooler fan, drawing air UP and fighting the CPU fan blowing air DOWN across the heatsink. My core temps had been up in the 70's C with Prime 95!! The logical solution was to reverse the CoolerMaster CPU fan so it blows UP as well. Sadly, the CM fan just doesn't like that: it emits a horrible whining sound when reversed -- I assume since it is a sleeve-bearing rather than ball-bearing fan. Reversing it did on the other hand, boost the temps by a excellent 5-10 C. So I have had to order a new ball-bearing fan --Delta AFC1212D. Having recognized all this, I would have opted for a different cooler--one thing like the Scythe mini-Ninja B which is not much bigger, and blows he air sideways through the heatsink.

My idle temp when down by five degrees C or additional. Beneath a load it was more like 7 - ten degrees less. It's a big fan and heatsink but it's low profile fit on my mATX motherboard (BIOSTAR A880G+) in a smaller case (APEVIA X-Qboii). If your RAM has heat spreaders that rise greater than your RAM chips then this may not fit. Wasn't difficult to install on an AM3 board. It's louder than I would like it to be. The 120mm fan is removable so I will in all probability attempt to swap it out with some thing quieter considering that I am using his as an HTPC. Running an Phenom II x2 555 BE. Unlocked to 4 cores, overclocked to 3.6ghz. On a full load it was operating as high as 60 degrees C on stock cooler, but now it's at the most 52 degrees so I'll almost certainly push it a tiny farther thanks to this heatsink.

The fan on this cooler is the quietest fan in my HTPC case. My Core-i5 two.8GHz CPU runs at 37C idle, 44C although Media Center is playing 1 HD recorded Tv file and recording two other HD Tv shows. Fan runs at about 600-700 RPM at 44C. None. Other people right here have complained about this cooler not operating. I suspect that's because they used the wrong screws on the adapter bracket. Be cautious to use the appropriate screws to allow the cooler to come in complete contact with the CPU. Some evaluations here also say that the screws strip very easily... I had no problems with this. My guidance: use the suitable tool for the job.

It's really quiet compared to the AMD stock cooler. Now, my case fans seem a bit loud. Wonderful buy for the cost. In Windows 7 high performance mode, I was at 48c with the stock cooler and now I'm at 40c to 44c. I would have like additional cooling since I'm not overclocking yet, but program to in the future.

Quiet, efficient huge? Bought this to replace the stock AMD 1090T CPU cooler. Stock fan was buzzing along at 6500 rpm and sounded like a massive blood-sucking mosquito was trapped in the case. This is whisper-quiet. Plugged in to the four-pin fan jack on the MSI 790X motherboard. Under no circumstances truly benchmarked the stock fan temperatures, but highest I have observed in regular gaming (online MMORPG) with this cooler working with the single fan alternative is about 46 C, well below the CPU max of 62 C. Your outcomes will differ depending on case ventilation and O/C. Installation was reasonably straight-forward but does require access to the back of the motherboard. Stick to the directions, appear at the photos, and it should take you about 20 minutes to install.

Quite sturdy construction, good bolt on design, big fan pushes a lot of air. I'd say for the fan size, it stays pretty quiet. The CPU compatibility is wonderful, gives you every little thing you require correct in the box, even brackets to install distinct fan configurations.Where the fan sits, pulls some air off the RAM as well. The image of this item on Newegg is a tiny misleading. It actually is fairly large and any RAM taller than Gskill Ripjaws might have a little difficulty clearing it, mine just barely squeezed in the initially DIMM, but there is generally the second DIMM if your RAM doesn't fit.It took a little far more time to set up than most heatsinks. Just make positive you're conscious of the size of your RAM and exactly where the fan will sit in relation to it, you may have some clearance difficulties.Other than that, I extremely recommend this fan if you're searching for this direction of air flow.

This cooler rocks. I've place with each other two i5 750 񡼄) systems utilizing this cooler. Significantly far better than stock HSF. This is an extremely solid decision for a mid-range aftermarket cooler and an outstanding worth. Installation is relatively easy, although you do have to have access to the back of your motherboard (not an situation for new builds, for most existing systems you will need to eliminate your mobo). For the cost - none. Doesn't come with high finish paste. For maximum aftermarket aircooling, appear elsewhere, but be ready to pay much a lot more. A solid decision for an i5/i7 build. Highly recommended!

Exceptional develop. Nice seeking cooler and it was packaged nicely. I really liked the mounting method. The bolts, nuts and metal backing plate, though requiring me to remove the motherboard, made for a really secure mount with a tight fit against the CPU. The fan is rather tolerable even at complete speed. The CPU contact surface was nicely polished. I had no difficulty mounting the cooler, even with the smaller hardware. Just be affordable with the amount of torque you use and you won't strip the hardware. I utilised SpeedFan to manage fan speeds. Like a lot of fans, this one stops fully if I take it below about 25%. I replaced the 120mm fan with 2 ARCTIC COOLING AF9 PWM 92mm Case Fans (N82E16835186034). The fan brackets were solid and secure with screw mounting. The 2nd 92mm fan hangs over the RAM slots to assist cool them. No interference troubles with my Corsair XMS3 RAM (N82E16820145222). The directions are rather poor and need some time to decipher. Mainly because this cooler blows air down onto the processor and motherboard (rather than blowing air in line with the case intake and exhaust fans) it did not cool well at all in my case. I found that air would hit the cooler and mobo then would circulate back up and be sucked into the CPU fan again. Furthermore, the left fan sat as well closely to my case exhaust fan and fought with it for airflow. With this cooler, my Core i7-950 hovers in the high 40s at idle and swiftly spikes to 90+ employing Prime95. It's just not usable with my setup. I ultimately removed this cooler and replaced it with a Cooler Master 212+, which will blow air inline with my intake and exhaust fans. Be quite aware of the airflow direction within your case and make certain that you can get enough cool air to this cooler. Otherwise it will just swirl the hot air and drastically decrease the effectiveness of this style of cooler. I suggest it only be employed in situations that can't fit a additional traditional style cooler that move air in the identical direction as the exhaust fan. If you must use it for your setup, use the best thermal paste achievable, assure a solid mount, and be careful about pushing the processor to full load.Case: Antec SLK3700-BQE MidtowerMotherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-U3DR
