Pros:Comfortable, Low price (40$), Sound quality is good, 3 meters cable, Sound control on headset

Pretty good quality headset for 40$, I would recommend it to anyone when on sale. The sound quality is great, it's a light headset and it's very comfortable.

Pros:ComfortableBuilt quality

Got these for 49.99. There not bad but the bass on them is pretty weak compared to my other headset. I would not pay $100 for these. Overall there not bad but I will be sticking to my other headset. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-18-11 06:41 PM

Cons:- None

Pros:- Price- Built Quality- Comfortable- USB version
Comment:
This headset is amazing for the price. 39.99$ on sale thanks to NCIX. Not the best headset in the world I prefer my PC-360 but you can't go wrong for the price. Nice sound quality too and if you don't have a sound card you have the USB version.

Cons:Too heavy at the beginingstupid warranty sticker for two years time

Pros:Very nice buildsound is decentlarge ear cap$40 only
Comment:
This is a decent product at $40, but for regular prize not going to be bother. Other then the decent build quality, there are two things to mention. The first one is the weight and the other one is the warranty sticker (needs to be on for like 2 years).I would recommend this at $40-$50 on sale.

Cons:Can't turn lights off on volume controlI buzz my head so wish it had a bit more padding on the head band.Finding the updated driver and control console package on the Corsair webpage could be a bit more clear.

Pros:Good sound Easy to use interfaceToggle mute
Comment:
I'm no audiophile so these seem pretty good to me sounds nice and clear. Fairly comfortable to have on but it is the first cup design headset I have bought and have nothing to compare it to. At the very least I would recommend them to anybody looking for a good gaming headset.

Cons:A bit heavy

Pros:Cheap, nice sounds
Comment:
Got this on a deal. Never tried Corsair headphones and now I know they do have good qualities. Very comfortable, although it's a bit big and so it adds a little weight to your head but it is not really noticeable. If there was a wireless version then it would be perfect!

Pros:Wow these sound pretty good!! There very comfortable and feel well built and sturdy.
Comment:
I got these on sale for 40$ so I'm really happy about its quality, i recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a sound card and wants a good sounding headset that's not too expensive.

Corsair HS1 Circumaural Headset
Cons:- A little on the heavy side- Really loud- USB (Drivers)

Pros:- Comfortable- Good Mic
Comment:
First, let me say that I also own the HS1A model, so comfort-wise, these are fine by me, though it takes a little use to. I'm not a huge fan of the foam earpads and having the leather ones from the HS1A, I can say they sound a little better. The MIC sounds good too, but most USB headsets do so...On the bad side now, the headset is a little on the heavy side compared to others. Not really a bad thing, just needs a little use to. Installing the USB drivers can be a pain (took about 3 installs for them to work properly plus I had to disable the motherboard's drivers). Seriously, they really are not the best drivers I've seen. Sound is good, but there are minor glitches (mostly in Windows, like folder clicking sound not alright). One major issue I found is that this headset is really, but really loud. Anywhere above 25% will make you deaf in no time. Although the headset does work at 10-15%, it is still annoying. Plus the MIC sound always resets.Summary: Those are mostly minor flaws, but they definitely keep this headset from winning my recommendation. It's a good thing I've got it for 50$, because at regular prize, they get in range of much better headphones (Audio Technica ATH-AD700) which you can couple with a basic MIC (Zalman ZM-MIC 1).

Fantastic Sound and Mic works just fine for me.I Can game for hours and often even forget they are on.NewEgg as constantly was great with the shipping. I have really 2 items i don't like thou ones the Volume control seems to be spaced too far from the headphones( i have to reach down and alter it.An additional thing also is the cord itself appears quite weak.Just taking 1 egg for those. Aside the cord challenge the phones function good a Straightforward four eggs.

Comment:
Wonderful plug and play sound by means of the USB connect and descent sound for the individual who desires the ease of use through the usb connect. The surround works pretty effectively. Very good sound but not great. Not as full as i would like. bass doesn't respond as well as I would like. Not deep and rich. I also own the Turtle Beach TBS-2114 Earforce HPA2 five.1 for one of my gaming computers. In comparison to the HS1, the HPA2 smacks it. It utilizes 8 speakers total. The bass is deep and the surround is superior. If you want a set to stay at a laptop or computer and not be as portable as the HS1(usb) then goe with the HPA2. A lot much better sound in all catagories, Music by way of games.

Really comfortable not tight at all and I wear glasses. Quite nice quality construct. The appropriate side is louder than the left side of the headset. Attempted correcting the challenge making use of the drivers. Was unable to even out the sound output the increments at which it increases and decreases the digital volume is too excellent. Genuinely had high hopes and have decided to give them 1 far more attempt just issued an RMA. Very challenging to get rid of the headset from the packaging. Had to rip parts of the packaging. Hopefully I just received a dud and get a nice new 1 in a few days. Will write one more evaluation when I get my new headset.

Sounded fine whilst they worked, but I'm not really an audiophile. Disintegrated. Where the ear pieces attach broke initial on the left side, I duct taped it, but then the suitable side fell off as properly. Immediately after duct taping both of them up eventually the wire pulled totally free and they stopped operating. Seems poor for headphones to fall apart with less than six months of ownership. I'm not specifically handling them like a delicate flower, but I'm not throwing them off cliffs or anything either. They just didn't seem nearly as durable as any other headphones I've utilised.

Corsair HS1 Circumaural Headset
Cons:-sound adjustment buttons vs wheel-low bass

Pros:-very comfortable-durable, twist resistant cable-good sound-good placement of microphone-foldable
Comment:
I originally bought the Turtle Beach DPX21 to use with my PS3 and PC systems. It works very well, however, the headset, especially the earcups were uncomfortable for longer gaming sessions over an hour. The Corsair HS1 on the other hand are extremely comfortable despite their size, even while I am wearing them for extended period with my glasses on. Sound is clear very clear, however there are a couple things I would have preferred. The sound adjustment on the headset is controlled by 2 large buttons. After pushing volume up one level, sound gets too loud. After pushing sound volume lower, it becomes too quiet. I wish it was a wheel volume control instead. The other issue, as I mentioned before, is that it is incompatible with the Playstation as a headset for sound and microphone. I tried using the Turtle Beach DSS system, but sound will not play through the USB only connection. As a headset for the PC only, I am very pleased with the sound quality, and primarily, the comfort of the headset.

Corsair HS1 Circumaural Headset
Cons:- can't use with 3.5 jack devices- needs software driver to work perfectly- need to tweak the EQ especially to get decent bass

Pros:- VERY comfortable (even after prolonged use)- AWESOME surround sound after a few tweaks with the EQ (but is okay OTB)- easy to use
Comment:
I've had this for a week now and so far I am loving it! Build quality is awesome and feels very very very comfortable, even after prolonged use. I use this all the time and have since puked at the sound of my cheapo speakers. This is an AWESOME product especially for the price I paid for it (almost 50% off on sale). I haven't tried the competition so I can really make a comparison but, I have no regrets picking this one. If the other products so happen to be better, so be it. It won't make me like this one any less. Software is standard snd straight forward. It allows freedom for customization. Voice effects are fun but could have been better. I've pranked several of my friends using those. LOLThe only problem I guess I could say is that it requires some fiddling with (at the EQ) to get the best sound for your taste and that it is not very versatile. These are EXCELLENT for gaming and movies when you get the right settings! I can hear different layers of sound I never knew existed when watching my favorite DVD and Blu-Ray titles. In games, you could hear enemies approaching from the exact direction they are coming from, not just left or right, especially FPS and racing games. What else is there to say about that? It's just awesome! Other uses such as music and video/voice chat are okay at best, even after various tweaks. You just can't get the bass to where you want it to be. Well, it is a gaming headset after all. So you can't really expect much. I save several profiles on the software driver for such purposes. It's not the best for the latter applications, but it works.Honestly, I bought this product because it was on sale. Had it been at regular price, I might have looked elsewhere after reading the good and the bad points of users. I would have wanted a stellar product if I were to pay $100 for it. That said, this product has exceeded my expectations, and I would pay full price for it now that I have tried it.Despite the mentioned limitations, I give it 5 stars for the price I got it for. It's short comings are minor nuisances that can be overcome with patience and some tweaking. 4 and a half stars if I got it for regular price.

major, long cable, LED's on the volume control that are blue that turn red when the mic is muted (nice function), kills the noise in the background (wife), good cushioning feels superior on/around the ears Microphone is totally useless, doesnt pick up anything at all even when talking LOUDLY. Have to crank up all outbounds and mic settings to get it to a standard level, and then it sounds distorted genuine poor. Can not be heard in a typical gaming scenerio.A BIT too tight for my head, but its been two weeks it should loosen up a bit. I wear a 7 1ǚ baseball hat.A little heavy but yes it is large. rebate hassle

There's not much to say, this is an awesome headset! The quality is very good and seems like it'll last me a long time. They are really comfortable and covers my ears without touching them which is a big plus for me. The cord is really long and braided so it doesn't get tangled easily. The software is pretty good too. However, I would not pay full price for this. I got it on sale for a very good price ;)

Comment:
They are comfy. Other than that they are entirely useless. Corsair has let me down twice now. I'm by no means buying a corsair item once more. The initially set was absolutely and utterly unbalanced. The appropriate side of the headset was deafeningly louder than the left side. The second time about the left side is now louder than the left correct.I really feel like I'm getting a joke played on me. I have several sets of headphones and can assure you there is nothing wrong with my hearing. These headphones are just getting mass produced with good quality not in mind. I'm a gamer and my sound card recently gave out so i required a pair of headsets to fill in the void. These seemed like the best pair of headphones but boy was i wrong. I'm not entirely confident if Corsair is entirely to blame for this or if usb sound is just a lost trigger but these headphones had the right intentions but corsair just couldn't pull it off. The funny thing is that I'm going to be suckered out of one more ผ dollars to RMA these worthless headphones. So that's about ษ dollars down the drain. Manufacturer Response:Please contact our Customer Service and tell them that you are getting to RMA a 2nd headset. We'll take care of the shipping and replace yours ASAP.External Link(s): Corsair Get in touch with Page|

Corsair HS1 Circumaural Headset
Cons:- a little tight / sort of uncomfortable

Pros:- long cord- nice material- nice microphone
Comment:
Bought this when it was on sale for sub $40 to replace my Steelseries 5H and am very pleased with it. The microphone is nice but it isn't adjustable. A lot of padding so it's nice on the ears but the headset is sort of a tight fit on the head so the top gets uncomfortable after long periods of having it on. A big con is the blue LED on the controller is always on.
