I bought two of these to upgrade my seven years old pc, in the hope of revive it for current games, and it didn't succeed. 8GB DDR2 cost more than 16GB DDR3 and did not make the pc much faster. And also my motherboard having great trouble boot up with maximum ram. 3 out of 10 times it failed post screen.I finally gave up and put a pair of these in my "Entertainment PC", and let it have bigger cache.Great choice of ram, highly recommend. |

Just replaced 2GB's of Corsair XMS RAM in my Windows XP 32 rig which had been performing flawlessly for over a year. Out of the box DRAM timing for this pair was 4-four-4-12. I have in no way knowledgeable an concern with any Corsair memory and will use this pull in an additional machine. I was slightly disappointed with this obtain when I located my method BIOS telling me that the timing on the new RAM was 6-6-6-18 not five-5-five-18 as advertised. Appears I've paid for one thing I did not get. This was uncomplicated simply corrected by manually changing DRAM settings in my BIOS. The new memory appears to be functioning OK and my rig runs noticeably faster even even though Windows is only seeing a little more than 3GB of the installed 4GB. |

Its rapidly and excellent and made my Computer run better (able to run google earth and grand theft auto IV at the exact same time. Its either not totally compatible with my eMachine ET-1810-01 motherboard or it may have been defective. It was running great at the beginning for a week till i started acquiring BSOD and GFX card failures and on 1 old GFX card (PNY GT240 GDDR5) and 1 new GFX card (Palit GT440 GDDR5) oh... and with the internal GFX card (GeForce 7050 integrated). i also tried loading windows and linux and it each failed. |

Corsair Reputation and when purchased 11-2008 memory was dirt cheap. 1 stick failed right after 18 months. It is truly frustrating to track down intermittant "blue screen crashes". Why do these items perform for months and then just fail for no apparent purpose?Was going to reinstall Windows 7 as a last ditch work. FYI: When the DVD was installed in the drive I tried the repair function and was provided the decision to test the memory. Low and behold it saved the day!! By running the test with 1 stick at a time problem was quickly identified.More rapidly memory is now cheaper so will try a thing differant. So several have fantastic luck with the Corsair so it should just be the luck of the draw. |

Solid memory, looks great, no tall/unnecessary heatspreaders to interfere with CPU heatsinks. None. Bought a set of this a couple years back (probably really should have just purchased 8GB back when DDR2 was so cheap, hindsight is often 20ተ), then about a year ago following DDR2 costs genuinely began to go up I grabbed another 4GB kit to bring me up to 8GB total. Never had any complications with either kit, fantastic stuff. My experiences with Corsair in general have been pretty excellent, under no circumstances had any key issues, and the 1 or two occasions I did they set anything straight. |
