Over all I noticed a huge gain in performance when tabbing out of a game or running many programs that have a high demand on memory after going from 2g to 4g. if you do anything more demanding then browsing and email give 4g a shot there is a good chance you will be happy. prefetch can also keep a much greater amount of content preloaded also and more available then ready boost can "speed", so common applications you use will load faster.

We purchased sufficient of this to develop a couple dozen desktops ƒ sticks per machine) and used some for a couple temporary servers. All worked fine until lately. These dimms seem to be dropping like flies now. All of the dimms passed memtest86+ when they had been installed 1-two years ago but now I have 4 diverse desktops and 1 server that started crashing or experiencing data corruption concerns in the last 6 weeks, I tested them and now they fail memtest. Works just fine. I don't overclock or anything, but I'm one of those people who leaves their computer running all the time as properly. Only one of the memory sticks has given me trouble after over 2 years of usage. none for me. When I bought my original two sticks I was receiving a definitely killer deal and now the cost has gone up, but that's just the nature of deals. I can't really complain about that.

None Second kit back after RMAing the 1st kit, and lo and behold, IT DIDNT Function. 1 stick was fully shot and refused to post at any other speed than 533mhz. The other i have yet to test, but it actually posts at stock speed. This is the second kit of this ram which i have gotten, and both kits are faulty. I am not going to bother with wasting my funds on yet another RMA, as i am most most likely going to get the very same factor again.Corsair utilized to be synonymous with good quality.
