Purchased an additional set to up my ram to 8gb. Figure it wouldn't be on the market a lot longer and I had some gift cards to use up. Following about of day of running by way of memtest all sticks came back fine.

This replaces 2 X 1 GB sticks of DDR2-667 memory, which maxed out my old board. My new board supports up to 4 GB so I maxed it out again.The old Corsair ran for years and years without an issue, you just never have to think about it really. I trust that this new, larger, faster Corsair memory will be the same. It has so far - no issues.I can't say I've noticed a difference between DDR2-667 and DDR2-800, and it's not like I was entirely running out with 2 GB of memory, it's just that this gives me extra room should I need it.I'm not overclocking so I can't comment on that.I did forget about 32-bit vs. 64-bit OS though, and Ubuntu came up with 3.2 GB of memory after I installed this. Whoops. When the new Ubuntu version comes out I may switch to 64-bit but for now I've just installed the PAE kernel - works perfectly and recognizes 3.9 GiB of RAM.Very good memory!

Just occur about three days ago and my Pc preserve shutting down and message about "Memory Management". Attempt to reinstall Windows7 about haft way and hang. Now I have to use Memtest v4.20 to test the memory and show, there are tons of errors. Over 1 month I don't feel I can return to neweegg, could have to speak to Corsair. Nonetheless great Memory thought, I got two sticks about 4 years ago and still functions excellent with no issue. And I feel this is a last time I obtain Memory.

I purchased four sticks about 1 year ago and now every single single 1 of them has some sort of error that causes my personal computer to bluescreen if I do something even remotely RAM intensive. I sent my sticks to corsair and it has been about a week and an half and they haven't gotten back to me yet. I would have thought their consumer service was superior than this Hopefully all goes properly and they send me replacement sticks that don't die a year immediately after I put em in my pc.

The ram that works rocks, but it entirely sucks that they can't check this stuff before sending it out. That goes for ALL RAM. It's incredibly pricey, and the amount of men and women who get bad ram is crazy.

Pros:It's Corsair, so it's quality, and for DDR2 it's cheap AND available for older mobos. Comment: Does the job, can't OC this RAM on my mobo, no voltage control, but it has not failed me yet and I doubt it will. Corsair makes quality RAM, this RAM was recommended to me by the overwhelming majority of forum members for my mobo, they were right, rock solid.Prime95 for an hour, no errors, going from 1GB in XP to 4GB in W7 has improved my gaming experience immensely, frame rate in all games has increased dramatically. Only thing that changed was my OS, XP to W7, and of course the extra 3GB of RAM. Games that played at 80 to 100 FPS now play at 180 to 250 FPS(TOCA Race Driver3 specifically), all other games have at LEAST a 50% increase in frame rate.Well worth the money for an older system/low budget gamer.

Watch out for the heat although, mine tend to get hot after lengthy quantity of intensive work and gaming, but also i have all for four slot filled with ram. The cost, when I purchased this it was about 55 dollars. The price tag only went up over the years, which to me make no sense to me. Now that DDR3 is out and has been for a although, the expense in imo must go down. That is ddr2 800 ram can be seen as a down side, this ram is stable if you more than clock them, I no longer more than clock ram due to the fact that i have 6gb of ram and machine is older, with amd 6400+ cpu.
