This is a good, dependable CPU. Wonderful price tag because the new model has arrived. Runs my residence office business apps with ease, but FS-X pushes this CPU to the limit. I will ultimately replace this with a greater performing i7 and put this in a box which has much less demands. Runs excellent at advertised speeds. Had no matters with my new mobo (EVGA X58 SLI) recognizing all 6 GB on the incredibly 1st POST. None so far. Like most people, mine initially posted at 1066. Set the XMP profile in BIOS and it ran at 1600 with out any issue.

Worked at recommended speed for a handful of months Memory only worked at advised speed for a couple of months till i started getting a bsod error (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT)Located from lots of researching that a lot of others are also getting this problem, and memory wont run stable unless run at a low 1033 mhz, NOT as advertised. Im shur theses sticks run perfectly on other motherboards, but if your going for an EVGA X58 they are probably the incorrect decision

Loved the initially 6 gigs. New six gigs created my system completely unstable. If your rig is operating and you have 6 gigs. Leave it alone.

Rapid memory, works properly when it is suitable. Initial buy had 1 bad stick of memory out of the three. Policy with Newegg is you have to return the entire thing before you get a new a single. Relatively painless except for getting to ship it back and then wait about 10 days for the replacement to arrive. Fortunately, the 2nd set worked as advertised.

I've had this RAM operating in my newest Computer make for approx ten months and couldn't be happier. I just completed my degree in on the net college and am prone to have a lot of many apps open at the same time. ex. Firefox (multiple windows & tabs), Dragon, Office, Adobe Acrobat, Media Player,etc etc. The Dominator runs all of them flawlessly together. I've had a few apps freeze with rapid switching in between them but that's just the nature of the Computer and the present OS atmosphere I presume. I don't believe I could count past 6, the quantity of instances that's occurred for the duration of the time period. No data was ever lost during these incidents tho. Excellent ram. Super straightforward to set up to 1600MHz with the XMP setting in the bios. Not the highest efficiency ram for the value but the ease of working with the XMP setting to get 1600Mhz in the bios I assume justifies the value more than any of the other less costly ram manufactures. Would undoubtedly purchase factor again if I need a lot more than 6GB of ram or I was replacing ram in a different machine.

A good XMP profile to get it operating at 1600mhz if you don't OC. Excellent best fins to dissipate heat and noticeable speed increase. None. It works and runs at the specified speeds with 1 click in the BIOS.
