When you're trying to test a video card or other components, you don't want added variables from your memory & this stuff is rock solid & stable! Just check out some reviews & Corsair is one of the most used.

Michael_W@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 09/27/09	Corsair XMS3 Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 8-8-8-24 Core i7 Memory Kit Cons:Poor overclocking, Price, and lack of support on Corsair forums Pros:They look nice, they run well at the timings and speed they are advertised with Comment: I have to say, I'm disappointed with the overclocking ability of this memory. The best I could do is 1660 MHz at the stock timings of 8-8-8-24, 1T. They don't like VDIMM increases and extra VTT doesn't seem to help (not that I'd be comfortable running above the XMP VTT of 1.35 for any length of time). I read multiple reviews of this kit getting near 1800 MHz with these timings, but not even close for me. I guess Corsair decided to go with cheaper ICs after the kit had been reviewed, and it wouldn't be the first time. To top it all off, the overclocking forum on the Corsair forum website is dead, and I got no replies from anyone for weeks. For $100 less, I could have gotten the same performance from the vanilla 1600 MHz kit. For this price, you should be able to overclock! I'll think twice before I go with Corsair RAM again...

Oh well, I bought them separately. They just look cool. Pros:Shreads everything I throw at it. BSOD is a thing of the past (unless you push it overclocking). But out of the box, it can't be stopped. I even felt this way when I was running it at 1066. I didn't realize that my mobo hadn't recognized it properly. Comment: I've never owned Corsair before, and now I'm wondering where I've been. This is the best memory I've ever owned.
