I paired this up with an ASUS P6X58D-E and Intel 920 D0 at 4.2 GHz; my RAM is at 1.64 V, 8-8-8-24, DRAM frequency DDR3-1603 MHz. Memtest and Prime95 run solid. I do have the Corsair memory cooler on too but I don't know how much difference it really makes.Do be aware of the height of these modules if you have a huge heatsink/fan on your CPU. |

This ram is spectacular. With the dram set to 2.64 volts and the frequency dialed back to 1500mghz due to the CPU overclock, this ram hit 7.9 on Windows Experience Index without a sweat. You won't be disappointed if you get this ram, in fact it's my first Corsair kit in 10 years because I always felt it was too expensive. It's worth it though, and why not while it's on sale? =) |

I was planing to process the rebate over the weekend but ran into some rather surprising barriers.1) I tried to use corsairmemory.rebateaccess.com but I received an “Unable to connect” error. I get the same error when trying to connect directly from the corsair website.2) I tried to contact 1-888-941-2912 and I received a phone is disconnected message.Given no other obvious contact information on the corsair website, I submitted a case to technical support which will probably not be processed until after the less than standard time frame of 21 days from date of purchase has elapsed.
Pros: Running 12 GB in Win 7 Prof. (64bit) with GIGABYTE GA-EX58A-UD5 and Core i7-980X without problems using 8-8-8-24 timing (you need to set these timings manually in bios or via enabling XMP memory profile}.Historically solid technical support and RMA services Comment:
In fairness, maybe the rebate services will only down for a couple of days, but from the perspective of a consumer spending $229.99, this is unacceptable customer service.Because customer service is an important consideration when purchasing any product, my ratting of “3” was based on a high hardware rating (5) and a poor customer support rating (1). |

Have this running in my P6X58D premium, works without issue. Ram stays nice and cool but the volts are never over 1.66 so it should I guess. With my i7 930 b 4ghz the memory is only at 1500 and change. Enabling the XMP profile allows it to run at it's rated speed if your not overclocking. I haven't oc'd the memory, but I don't think it's neccesary, with the performance I am reaching. Overall a great product at a price that is half of what it was a year ago you can't go wrong. |

Had to RMA my first order because one module was dead. My machine would not post if I had that one stick in slot one. The replacement order is ok as far as the fact that all of the modules work, but my mobo won't see any of the three sticks if I put them into the last two slots. I got the BIOS to see all six gigs by placing one module into slot 1a and the other two modules into slot 2a & 2b. I cannot use slot 1b because my cpu cooler is in the way. I like to play flight sim X and I bought this build with that game in mind. I'm very happy with the results. I might have rated higher but I also had to RMA a Corsair power supply for this build. I really dont know why all these people are having all these troubles as i got two sets and both are fine.I used 12 gigs in the evga x58 classified board with triple sli and set timings and this pc is running benchmarks like you wouldnt believe.I think your problems are you are trying to put in all of them at one time and you cant do that!Leave everything at default and install the first three in the dimms it says to on the board and then boot it on up and bring it back down and do it all over with other 3 dimms. Bring it up and then set up sli same way,one at a time,then come back to bios and set your clock speeds on everything. these beast take time to set up and cant rush and throw it together!This some of the best memory we have ever used!!Thank You |

Will not work with ASUS x58 mobo or Intel x58 mobo

I have tried this memory on two different builds with no luck. On the Intel X58SO mobo it would not even boot. I talked to Intel and they said the would not honor the warranty if the Dimms ran at above 1.5 volt. These Dimms are 1.65 volt. Mobo runs great on Crucial 10066Mhz 1.5volt Dimms.I am now building an ASUS P6X58D Premium, the memory works sort of? No matter what I do, it will only show 4Gb ram instead of 6Gb ram. Asus's forums list this problem with with this memory.. be careful! |
