Not sure what to say here... I put my PC together and tested it out and kept getting BSOD's so I never ever truly got a chance to test it drivers drivers drivers. Apparently there are a ton of driver problems with this card. Don't get it, it isnt worth it.

The sound card has performed extremely effectively, extremely nice adjustments for headsets, dont get unless you paid very good cash on the speakers as you will just lose the high quality. Lots of bloat ware, easy fix although just install what you want.

DDL and DTS connect are wonderful. Excellent positional audio ƕ.1 to two channel downmixing) with Alchemy. Best notch for gaming. Tons of software program installation concerns with Win 7 for me. Eventually I came across Daniel_K's X-Fi Support Pack 2. , which solved all my computer software issues without me lifting a finger. His package contains all the official Creative drivers, but fixes some installation glitches that are impossible to get around if the standard Creative installers aren't working. No რdb mic boost solution anymore, so I'm working with my onboard audio for my microphone until they allow this feature again.Won't permit downmixing of five.1 to 2 channel with Alchemy via the digital out anymore, you're forced to use the analog output if you want 2 channel downmixing. I had the original X-Fi xtrememusic when it was released (PCI version). Cracking troubles have been gone for years. I loved that card, it broke earlier this year, and I needed to get my positional audio back.I would have given it 4 stars (for the lack of 20db increase and 2-channel digital out limitations), but the driver install problems knock it down to three stars. Those concerns aside, it's a fantastic sound card. Thanks to Daniel_K's X-Fi Assistance Pack 2. , it's a savior if you have any driver install troubles (and Driver Sweeper as usually).

This is a stunning card! Install was very uncomplicated, just opened the box, put it in my PCIe slot, installed the software program, and immersed myself in beautifully textured electronic music by Apparat! I've by no means owned a card - I've usually just employed onboard sound so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but the distinction between my GA-X58-UD3R (Rev two.) sound and this is an incredible enhance. Trying to plug this into the PCIe was somewhat challenging simply because of the cord running from my PSU to my CPU was receiving in the way. I had to nudge it in and tighten it down with the screws and was worried about doing some damage, but didn't. I would advise this to someone in the ballpark of 贄, and I've heard a lot of excellent issues about this card on the web before obtaining it.

The sound excellent is outstanding and worth the cash compared to an on board sound card. If you want sound to come alive and you have a five.1 sound system, get this card. PCI-Express.... Optical Out and Optical In. The Optical Out supports a five.1 receiver on this card. My previous Fatal1ty X-FI only supported two channels. Inventive nonetheless has some software program concerns. In time, drivers will fix this ultimately... possibly... I've had issues with Creative drivers for years but only minor ones, nothing that gets in the way of music or movie listening. I have it hooked up via optical cable to a five.1 Yamaha RX-V365 receiver cabled to five satellites and a Yamaha sub. The PCI express version supports five.1 channels for me which is a enormous plus. A very good acquire for a new machine. This is my first expertise with the PCI-Express version... I've owned the original Sound Blaster Live 5.1, Audigy two, and X-FI Fatal1ty. Creative Labs has the monopoly on right after industry sound cards... not too many choices.

boosting the volume intensity is a massive deal when your utilized to running onboard sound... & this card did not dissapoint...i used to have my volume cranked to max when utilizing my headphones via my onboard sound ports... immediately after the titanium install i had to drop my sound down to about 45% just so my ears didnt bleed... that gives me a lot of range to play with if neededthat was easily the ideal thing about this card... none so far... drivers downloaded from creatives site worked immediately on my win7 x64 ultimate righad to allow the mic in the creative control panel for it to register on ventrilo but thats not a con... not only do i notice a big advantage throughout gameplay with the precise & clear sounds on my cans, this card also makes music sound phenominal... becoming on a in no way ending search to locate the finest cans for under 贄, i may well have just found the real remedy & that was obtaining a sound card... the titanium surely gets the job accomplished

Card had some resistance attempting to fit in the PCI-E X1 slot, but installed appropriately without problem.Card was automatically detected following restarting personal computer, Windows 7 did install the proper drivers for it to do fundamental functions.I followed what other reviewers stated about "Do not use the CD to install drivers due to the fact they are outdated"downloaded and installed the drivers off of Creative. Works fine to this day. A lot much better clarity and good quality than my old Creative SoundBlaster CT4750 (which is impossible to run in Windows 7) None that i can think of. I would recommend this card to somebody, but seems rather overpriced

To start off off with, I assure you that I had no troubles whatsoever installing this card, or the drivers for it. I downloaded the latest drivers from the Creative Labs web page, installed the card in my laptop or computer, then installed the drivers. Right after letting it auto update, all was well. The sound good quality on this is wonderful compared to onboard sound. As soon as I began up an mp3, I was blown away. And that was Before enabling CMSS-3D, Bass Increase and X-Fi Crystallizer. The CMSS-3D software is astounding. It decodes surround sound and plays it through your stereo headphones, all of the superb audio positioning still intact. The demo that they included to test the function scared the heck out of me when I initial started it up. It's a truly loud helicopter flying in circles aorund your head, and the positioning is superior adequate that I although a helicopter was outside my home for a second.X-Fi Crystilizer and Bass Increase do what they must, and they do it nicely. CMSS-3D mutes some of the tenor sounds, but they can be brought back by calibration of the X-Fi Crystilizer software program.Wasn't no cost. Did not come with a unicorn.

I was at 1st concerned about getting this card after reading the reviews on who tough it was to install this card. I was able to install this card without any problems on a W7-64 system and ann 890FX motherboard. My suggestion is that you download all the drivers and software from the Creative website initially. DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED CD! Install the driver 1st then the other softwares one at a time. Use the CD only if you want to get the Free of charge PowerDVD software program. Sadly, the no cost PowerDVD doesn't play Blueray...I was stunned by the sound excellent compared to the motherboard sound method. Creative genuinely requirements to update their included CD.

Theoretically it will produce far better sound than your onboard device. With the newest drivers installed some programs had no sound, other people were badly distorted. These had been not obscure programs either, Pandora (via Chrome), games off of Steam, and so on. Sometimes, for no apparent reason the sound for all programs would go crackley and restarting the computer was the only answer.Oh, and any time you try to update the drivers they try to load down your pc with bloatware. No thanks Creative, I don't want your lousy media player, even if it is a 'critical update'. Right after spending hours and hours on the most recent issue (not unusual), I just gave up. I removed the card from my program and plugged my speakers into my motherboard's onboard sound. And you know what? Everything works now, no drivers to install, no bloatware to turn down, no hours of fruitless googling. And though I'll admit I'm no audiophile, I honestly can't tell the difference in sound good quality. If I could give this item less than a 1, I would. I will never acquire one more Creative product once again.

Price Horrible sound card. I get crackling and popping. Installed newest drivers and nonetheless no fix. Even Creative acknowledges this concern and has no thought how to fix it. Going to return this card and get an Asus Xonar or the HT Omega Claro. If your lucky, your sound will not be muffled by the "crackling and popping"

Good value, solid card. Simple to install and had no difficulties with windows 7 64-bit drivers. None but. I was weary of this card following all I've read about problems with the Creative drivers. A lot of users also seem to be getting sound complications when they install this card into a nvidia sli board.... which is specifically what I have. Happy to report that the installation was flawless. I skipped the installation cd all together and downloaded the win 7 64-bit driver off the Creative internet web site. This also enables you to bypass the ton of software that comes on the installation cd. If you download the driver from the internet website, it will come with an updater that allows you to pick which software you want and what you don't want - and they really do add in all sorts of useless stuff so I'd advise going this route. No sound problems so far, noticeable improvement from onboard sound and I have employed the card with each analog speakers and a fiber optic to a household theater receiver. I'll update if anything comes up.

On paper, this looks like an superb card. It's got the latest EMU20K2 chip with 64MB, putting it on par with the best finish cards. The drivers included with the card are unable to detect the X-Fi in Windows 7. Even immediately after hours and hours of scouring the internet for various versions (even Auzentech!) I have been so far unable to hear any sound whatsoever. I don't care about unlocking functions this wasn't meant to have. I just want it to do what the box mentioned it could do. I bought this card because soon after upgrading to Windows 7, my Audigy 2 card sporadically produced a sort of "robot" noise with audio. I mistakenly assumed that Creative would far more actively pursue very good drivers for their newer merchandise. From what I've gathered on multiple websites, Creative cares incredibly little about its clients. Yes, there's a Windows 7 driver on their site. No, it's not guaranteed to function on every technique. I may well RMA this soon if I can't get it to function.

Remarkable sound good quality! This is a little pricey but it is worth it! I dont believe there are any cons. I feel that creative is a amazing brand. I beleave that this was made for amazing sound high quality but getting low grade speakers dont mix properly. You see I winged it and bought this simply because my chipset in the motherboard went out. I got installed and was extremely uncomplicated since i have windows 7 so the drivers automaticly installed for me. But i was disapointed when i located that i was loseing volume and sound top quality every now and then. But the issue was fixed when i upgraded my speaker set. So I Feel that everybody who gets poping and cacking in there speakers is cause the speakers cant manage what creative is putting out. So upgraded youself and Take pleasure in the amazing sound!!

(Good for gamers)Outputs at 96KHz롘KHzPCI-Express - Pro - Quicker transmission of data, lower latency, greater bandwidth and lower CPU utilization.Dolby-Digital-EX / DTS Occasional crackling in greater pitched sounds.(Usually hear it right after beginning laptop or computer and thats it.)Creative's support is somewhat lacking.Only inputs at 96KHzPCI-Express - Con - A tiny bit flimsy connection, no anchor, and does not sit properly on my motherboard. These Sound Cards are not for audiophiles or an audio-aficionado.Lacks high-finish functions. No notification in specs/manual/website about this 64MB of onboard memory for this specific model. Windows does indeed register around 58MB (which may possibly as nicely be 64MB) of Memory Resources allocated locally on card, and a few of the memory modules on the card display Hynix (which is a memory module maker.) logo.
