Normal RAM, functions like it need to. I safely ignore the CAS 6 rating, and manually set the RAM at 800MHz with five,5,five,15 timing devoid of situation in a plain vanilla G35 chipset board for my HTPC, operating flawlessly. I guess the RAM doesn't have any heat spreader and can't be overclocked, but I never ever planned to over-clock 4GB of Computer-6400 DDR2 RAM at this value beyond its rated speed other than use the a lot more common 5,5,5,15 timing than the 6,6,6,18 as set by the manufacturer. No challenge operating at the far more aggressive five,five,five,15 timing at 800MHz, I wouldn't push this issue beyond it's rated 800MHz, I was glad it took the additional aggressive timing with no problem.

Even though simple, this set of Crucial RAM is very trustworthy. It's not for intense gaming, but that's not the target audience of this memory anyway. It's worth RAM for buyers who need to have a lot for a smaller value. If that's what's on your thoughts, then I fully advise you get this as well. None. My 32-bit Vista Premium only detected a sad 3 gigs out of the 4, which struck me as odd as most folks I know had three.25 - three.five gigs of RAM detected on their 32 bit systems. It's most likely a weakness on Vista's portion.

Functions wonderful. what came in the mail had been two half sticks, which made me believe I ordered the wrong issue, but they popped in and worked like a charm. Tested them with a few programs and anything turns up fantastic. Not only do the sticks perform good, but I ordered them Saturday at midnight and they came in the mail Tuesday. I wasn't expecting that, what with the cost-free shipping and all. -I have to update my motherboard for it to recognize the full 4 gigs. Proper now it's only recognizing 3.four-Only about 3.1-3.4 gigs will be recognized on 32bit operating systems.-I have to uncover a thing to do with my old ram since these sticks operate great. They're low-cost, pretty dependable, pretty rapidly, and the only downside is perhaps possessing to update the bios and possibly OS (if you don't have 64x).I would only suggest these to people who use computers, and want additional than 4 gigs of DDR2 ram.Thank you Newegg!

Value was appropriate. Bought and installed in August, 2009. Got blue screen and bios beeps in December, 2009. Replaced with another brand and computer working again now. "You get what you pay for." Invest a couple of bucks a lot more and get memory that lasts more than 4 months.

RAM functions as advertised. Bought 8 GB of it for my Phenom develop and it works properly. 4GB of the 8GB had to be RMA'd at the price of 10 dollars to ship back to Newegg with their pre-printed UPS label. Newegg must provide the RMA return shipping for free of charge is a product is defective. It is a bit silly to spend more than 20% of the item cost in shipping for an RMA. Otherwise the RMA was painless.

Extremely good ram for a fantastic value. Had no complications with it plugged right in and prepared to go. was in a position to overclock to 6-6-6-18 1066. No heat sinks but with a properly ventilated case like mine might not need to have them.

No troubles with this RAM at all. I use an Asus p5k-deluxe in an antec Solo case, overclocked to 800mhz fsb. I plugged in the RAM, turned it on, changed the FSB speed, rebooted, and in no way looked back. It's been more than a year with no trouble. None

I like it. I took it out of the plastic package, and it was really modest so I was kinda worried if I got the correct memory. I looked at the package and verified it was correct, and when i put it in the slot, I kinda appreciated it's modest size. It is really nice, and I imaging the exact same would go for a single of those smaller form Computer's. ...It's small...I guess I can look at it a con too. I delight in it but some could appear at it and consider distinct of it... My only downside is that my 8GB is now getting seen as DDR667 simply because something down clocked it. Could be voltage for this RAM, or could be the reality that I am utilizing a motherboard that supports Phenoms with a BIOS Flash, but only supports HT1. on the CPU's. I don't truly notice it, either way, my system is running better with that added bit of RAM. I could go as high as 16GB on this board, but why bother when I need to most likely get a new board.

Following various failed attempts at purchasing RAM that I believed would be compatible with my mobo, I found Vital's RAM compatibility plan on Newegg. I have quite small technical experience, and was surprised at how uncomplicated it was to find specifically the sort of RAM I necessary. Sticks worked correct out of the box, even so, I was operating Windows XP Pro 64 bit and could only get my laptop or computer to read 3GB's (I paired one stick of Critical with a 1 GB stick I already had). Once I upgraded to Windows 7, each sticks worked. Didn't want to mess with the timing or anything (which was wonderful, given that I had no clue as to what I was carrying out anyway!) I wish somebody had warned me 6 months ago that my OS was the dilemma, not my RAM, haha. But acquiring and installing these certain sticks was headache-cost-free.

Works good and it's low cost. This was 1 of the couple of that worked with my board. No totally free shipping. Absolutely nothing to really complain about. Make confident to use the memory configurator. 5 minutes on the configurator as opposed to hours trying to figure out that you purchased incompatible hardware.Processor: AMD 6000+ @ 3.1Mobo: ECS A780GM-A v1.1Graphics: Onboard ATI HD 3200Memory: 2x2GB EssentialHDD: WD Blue Caviar 640 GB, Maxtor 80 GB (music)PSU: OCZ 600W ModXstream ProCase: Antec 300OS: Windows XP Pro 2002, Ubuntu

Worked ideal out of the gate. Had a very good price and a excellent discount with a mATX Gigabyte motherboard. Value has gone up considerably. Shouldn't this stuff be obtaining less expensive? Market shifts aside, this is good RAM and the build I put it in hasn't crashed as soon as. If you go with the percentages on Newegg, you usually do fairly nicely.
