Excellent chips, very low cost, in all probability work on most motherboards. This model is not compatible w/ the ATI 780G chip set with HD 3200 graphics under Vista x64. It will run, but the video driver will constantly freeze and Vista will have to re-begin it. I tried these chips on two boards (Asus M3A78-EM & Gigabyte MA78GM-S2HP) - both feature the 780G chipset with on board HD 3200 graphics. Both clean installations of Vista House Premium x64. Also tried a number of versions of drivers on both machines. No matter what I tried (an whole day thoughts you) I kept getting the video driver freeze on me. With on board video turned off, I had no problems. I swapped the memory with one more brand, and issue absolutely disappeared (no re-install of vista, drivers, or anything else)I don't know if this is a issue in x86 versions of Vista, or if a driver update from ATI could fix this in the future, but if you put this into a 780G chipset w/ Vista x64 I guarantee you will have complications.

It's four GB of RAM. It'll get the job carried out. Not positive about the extreme technical specifics of the RAM, but it works fine for me. None that I know of. What is up with RAM costs these days? I purchased this for ๅ back in August and as of this evaluation it is ๬. And it's not just this set that ballooned in value.

Straightforward install, 1 stick worked. 1 stick was defective and caused my pc to crash and freeze frequently. Upon attempting to return the stick, I was told I had to return Both sticks, even the operating 1; this would make my personal computer unable to operate till the item arrived, was processed, and another was shipped. Since of this policy and the fact that they won't ship a replacement till they've received the defective stick, I'm forced to settle for 2gb of RAM. Otherwise I would be unable to function and myself and other people would be negatively affected. Poor policy and poor client service. I would have been happy with them sending a single 2gb replacement.

I trust crucial brand, so I purchased 1 and every little thing works fantastic. I have by no means noticed this tiny ddr2 240-pin. Functions without any challenge, but they're half sized compared to typical 240-pin sized memory. Reduced size ram kinda worries me

Low cost.I ordered 3 of these packages for some of the programmers on my business's development team. Each workstation has 4 gigs installed and the workstation performs perfectly under a heavy workload. The DIMMs remain cool. Windows won't map the full four GB of RAM. I have not OC'd or testing on a gaming Pc.

Functions. All 4 GB detected at 800 Mhz. Was ๤ with Ū.99 shipping when I purchased. This was for my Grandma. I know it appears unnecessary to have 4GB for watching movies, Television, and surfing the internet, but it was like บ a lot more for twice as significantly memory from superior manufacturer.X64 Windows 7 absolutely FLYS. Boots with an Athlon II X4 and WD 500GB Caviar Green in ~ 20 seconds. None so far. It does what Ram is supposed to... work... quickly. absolutely nothing else really.

Set at five-5-five-15 timings and 800Ghz speed in BIOS per a prior reviewer. Installed two sets of these 4 sticks of 2GB per stick for 8GB total!Runs fantastic, my case has superior air flow, so that could help.Prime 95 stable for hours on every test, even the memory intensive 1. NONE, other than I could not uncover info on timings on Vital web page.At these timings it is extreme. Does awesome on benchmarks. I built a new method with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, Phenom II X four 940 black edition 3. ghz, HP DVD burner I1270, MSI 5770 video card, Western Digital Caviar Black edition 640GB, OCZ Power Supply, Win 7 prof, and two sets Crucial N82E168201481602_. 4Sticks of 2GB.This is an simple secure build, I have not OC'd the CPU, there is no require... You can develop newer, but there are a lot of folks reporting instabilities...Thanks NEW EGG, you rock!

It worked wonderful, quickly, and for a great quantity of time. Up until currently it has been fine, but now my computer randomly kicks into bluescreen and crashes with the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error. I have but to figure out if I can return the item and get new ones as I am still under the manufactures warranty. Incredibly upset that it messed up as I already attempted deleting everything and beginning more than, which didn't perform.

What's not to like about additional memory? They do not come with metal coverings to assist disperse the heat like the previous two 1 GB Ballistix sticks came with, but it does not advertise them that way, so that makes sense. Adding four GB of memory onto my machine that previously had 2 GB was a massive enhance to my program's speed and efficiency. If you are hedging on obtaining far more memory for a pc that still has a motherboard compatible with DDR2 memory, this is the stuff for you. Plus, it's at a reasonable price (๯ when I bought it). Appreciate!

Installed memory worked initially time with no errors and no issues - like its supposed to. none so far though I did see a MB temp boost with QFan enabled. I am monitoring. May well be conincidence. I purchased these to replace the original memory from Corsair. I had 1 stick fail in each and every of two pairs. The first 1 failed on initial install. So from where I am coming from after 1 week, the Crucial memory is a large improvement.

Followed previous assessment instruction, by a individual with high tech knowledge, and set memory timings to 5-five-five-15 even though keeping memory speed at 800 Ghz and it rocks. I built a new system with Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H, Phenom II X 4 940 black edition three. ghz, HP DVD burner i1270, MSI 5770 video card, Western Digital Caviar Black edition 640GB, OCZ Energy Supply, Win 7 prof, and two sets of this ram.No troubles Prime 95 stable for many hours on every single test. Temps by no means over 57 on case with good enclosure cooling, X-23 and Zalman 9900ALED. Bought the Zalman 9900ALED elsewhere immediately after CPU rocketed to 70 degrees with intial cooler in the course of initial Prime 95 testing after assembly, necessary a cooler that day so that we could finish. Applied Shin-Etsu X23 the second time for much better cooling, I also lapped the processor, before second assembly, discovered out about that on g00gle, even though researching cooling compounds. So far none to speak of, other than I could not find out the timings on the crucial website...Running them as 5-5-5-15 and 800 Ghz set in bios... Employing 4 sticks of 2GB every. 8GB of RAM rocks. This was a new( just kept case, it is burnt orange and he couldn't portion with it, it's a TEXAS factor...) create, and my son is so pleased. It was a ten year old computer, but mother board went out. I asked how it now plays his new games and he said he could play three games at a time on it...This is an effortless safe build, I have not OC'd the CPU, there is no want... You can construct newer, but there are many people today reporting instabilities...I pretty significantly just went with components that had been compatible, and took the best rated product of every sort, then read critiques to check for folks reporting goods that were incompatible. I was tempted to put a solid state OS drive in it, but was scared of the troubles that some have had, and the lack of depth of my tech information. This new stuff is all Greek to me! Perhaps next create!NEW EGG has all of the components for an awesome develop... GO YOLKSTERS!

Bought these as a Motherbaord / Memory Combo. According to Critical's Site they were compatible with the GigaByte GA-G41M-ES2L Motherboard and they certain are. My system has been 100% Stable from the get-go. Running Windows 7 Skilled 32 bit. None at all. Can't go wrong with this set. Vital has generally produced very good RAM. I'll be sticking with Essential, that's for sure.

Stable mainstream memory. I utilised two of these 2x2GB kits for 8GB on my Core 2 Duo create, then later split them up. They've been completely solid at default voltages, even in the four-module setup. No special pampering necessary. They have that "plain vanilla" look. No heatspreaders, no LEDs. Function, not flash. Essential usually isn't your least high-priced selection, but they tend to be consistent. Newegg rocks, as always.
