Crucial Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory
Cons:No substantive problems with it, could be wearing the sexier red 'jacket' though. As it is becoming trailing edge, suprised the price has not dropped more.
Pros:Was in a reasonable price range when I got it, may allow you to match your existing memory exactly Comment:
Hard to write a subjective review of memory, but can relate my anecdotal experience with expanding my system using these 2 2GB modules from Crucial. This brought my Asus MOBO up to 8GB and is the exact spec the MOBO calls for and in fact is the exact same memory that I had on the board already. I installed it right about the same time I installed Win7 and a new ATI Radeon card. When I started to get BSOD's I removed the new memory to see if things would improve, and I still got crashes so now I am suspecting the ATI card and not this memory, so have ordered an NVIDIA GT240 card from which to base my HTPC system that this is in, on. |
Installed fine, picked up by mobo just fine Opening the package was challenging? Installed on a Asus P5Q Pro with latest BIOs ?) on a Vista Household Premium SP1 32-bit (yes, I only see like 3.three worth of the memory).
