Running this in an AMD rig myself, but I have good friends who've had fantastic luck with this ram in i5/i7 builds. It'll hit rated speeds simply if you comply with the specifications as listed on your DIMMs. Note that DIMMs are tested in pairs and can vary slightly, so you might want more or less voltage than other people have noted here. You could comparatively quickly OC these to 900 (ddr-1800) or even 1000mhz (ddr-2000), despite the fact that honestly there's no want to do so, these @ 1600 or just above will typically hit a 7.9 expertise index, depending somewhat on your cpu clock. The spreaders on these modules do function fairly effectively, you almost certainly don't even will need a cooler unless you program to OC it at some point. The much more cooling the merrier, though, I say. This could be a con for some -- you do have to go into BIOS to get it to run at the rated speeds (this is a normal point for quality RAM with reduce latency), but honestly if you've in no way observed a BIOS before you could in all probability nevertheless get it running - these guys are not fussy. Significant note for AMD builders - if you've got a Deneb or beneath, you most likely can't run 4 DIMMs (i.e. 4x2 for 8gb) of this at its full speed potential due to a limitation with the onboard mem controller. Thubans can stack 4 DIMMs to whatever speed you can cool. Operating this at regular 7-eight-7-24, 1.65v @ 1600, beneath my old Corsair dominator cooler (go figure)Program:ASUS M4A88TD-V EVOdoubled my order on these for 8gbAMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ three.6 MSI Radeon HD5870 Lightning II everything on air, still have a lot of room temp-smart to OC these guys if I wanted to

Solid, has provided me no trouble. 7.5ǝ.9 on the Win7 overall performance index, although I wouldn't base my obtaining on MS's scale. Overclocked simply. I wasn't capable to get 100% of the CAS timings on my AMD based board with my Phenom II X4 (one of the settings needed to be at eight rather than 7 otherwise crashes would comply with, but no major deal at all) which is understandable - this RAM is supposedly designed for Intel systems. I paid ๣ on Newegg.ca last Black Friday 񢉙) - as of the 16th Nov 2010 the price is ๧.99. A couple of months ago (before all the cost fixing busts) I saw it as high as 货 - no joke. I was feeling pretty good about my buy then!Nonetheless, RAM needs to come down - a year later the price tag absolutely shouldn't be going up or staying the similar in this day and age. I won't knock an egg, because there's actually no explanation to and this is an issue with all RAM, not specifically G.Skill items. G.Skill are still at the forefront of inexpensive, dependable RAM with wonderful buyer service (not that I've required to use it). Just go for it! It's good ram at a very good cost. I won't claim to say that it's fast, given that realistically, I don't know what slow ram is like on a equivalent system. My only other Pc is ten years old, so no point in comparing there.

Fantastic pair of sticks for the value! Functions properly with my Gigabyte 890 board and AMD Phenom II 1055T. Immediately after upgrading from DDR2-800, my load speeds made a noticeable distinction! It's G.Ability! XD Nevertheless attempting to accomplish 7-8-7 timings with my motherboard. Have my 1055T OCed to three.2ghz, but only managed to get eight-eight-eight timings so far. Nevertheless fantastic although thinking of. =) I only started out employing G.Ability ram about 2 and a half years ago when I bought 4 gigs of DDR2-800 ram. My DDR2 set nonetheless performs like a champ, so I decided to purchase this set right after reading up on the reviews, and I'm glad I did. Hunting at how G.Ability handles their buyers based on their responses to testimonials on NewEgg, I assume I'll stick with them from now on. Sorry Kingston, you just don't do it for me anymore.

Good price for low latency high clock speed RAM. Looks wonderful. Developed for Intel systems, so some tweaking is required if you have an AMD system. As several have already stated, if you use this RAM on an AMD technique, you will need to set the timings manually or they will default to 9-9-9. My program won't boot with the ram set at 1600MHz by multiplier only, it may need to have a voltage bump or fsb overclock. I didn't count off any eggs since I knew it was designed for Intel when I bought it, although it must perform with AMD systems.

Alright, so I jumped on the lowest CL memory I could discover at 1600 level. Installed in an AMD system with a 1055T hexacore on M4A88T-M/USB3 mobo. Currently at 1720Mhz with 7-8-7-24 timings and 1.7V. Haven't gone any greater however, but I anticipate they will hold 1800Mhz with a additional voltage on the IMC. These sticks are performing so far! It took alot to figure out how to get these things to execute! I originally ran them at 1.6V given that they are rated for it. Everytime I ran Prime95, I would immediately blue screen. Somebody recommended to me that this memory will like 1.7V. He was suitable. For this cause, I want to dink them an egg... but for some purpose I'm not. I wouldn't place these sticks in a affordable method. Contemplating the extra 'umpph' of sorts it took to get these to carry out, make sure you are installing on a decent board with OC capabilities. If you're seeking for some very good memory for a decent cost, get em!

WorksWorks even far better following i manually set it to it's rated specYou can see the difference between 1333 CL9 and 1600 CL7 Not worth the ฟ distinction among CL9 and CL7 It defaults to DDR3 1333 CL9 at 1.five v on my motherboard but that's the motherboard's fault. I wish running any RAM at something far better than CL9 DDR3 1333 would default to their rated spec and rather of producing me really feel like I'm overclocking my RAM to make it run at it's rated spec. I'll ultimately get a second set of this because I was at 96% RAM usage the other day

Extremely Stable, quickly and decrease CAS latency(s). I have had this RAM in my rig for a year now with zero issues. Cost has come down to nearly half the cost from when i 1st purchased it, so I plan on purchasing a lot more. It also looks great, but that only matters if you care about that stuff or have a side window also peep inside. Not a con, seriously- If you have a third party CPU cooler, the height of the RAM heatsinks might be a concern. But that would be a quite uncommon circumstance and only if the slots were also close to the cpu blah blah blah....just one thing I noticed. I have an Asus M4A79XTD EVO mobo and this RAM is not on the QVL (or at least wasn't when i bought it), so you have to manually configure the settings (frequency & voltage) in the BIOS to get its complete possible. But that is super straightforward to do. I honestly think even if you left it at the settings the mobo decides for you, you would nonetheless be incredibly pleased.

Superb memory. I have this memory paired with an i5-750 and an MSI P55-GD80 motherboard and it is perfectly stable. I liked this memory so much, that I ordered a 2nd set a year later for a total of 8GB. The memory runs cool, and there are no stability problems None. I had to go in and set the timings Ɨ-8-7-24) manually in the BIOS, but that isn't a large deal to me. The advertised memory timings are a portion of the XML-1600 memory profile rather than the typical JEDEC timings, so make certain you enable XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile) in your bios

I purchased my fist set back in August 10", and my 2nd set last week. These negative boys are the greatest. When my 2nd set was shipping here, I was in a position to put my current set in the slots under my 212+ with no having to take it off, which I knew would fit if I put the memory in initial, but I was glad they just slide in good with no any work!If I bear in mind appropriately, I paid about 贄 for these back in August, so the price is such a fantastic deal. Even even though I am satisfied with 8gb's, it would of been nice to afford a 8gb originally, but I was on a budget develop. So the only point superior than these poor boys, are finding the 2x4gb set of 1600 cas7 rather of receiving 4x2gb and maxing out at 8gb.This is actually not a con, because most individuals don't even need 16gb! These are great for spending budget builds. I spent only 񘈨 on my construct, and did my first upgrade with 500$, and now my personal computer is beast with SSD, CFX, 8gb of 1600cas7, and 3tb's of HDD.

Bought two sets of these, stuck all four of these puppies in and haven't had any troubles. A very noticeable difference more than C9. Not a massive issue, but the motherboard defaulted these to 9-9-9-24, even right after operating OC tests. Set the values to the advertised timings of 7-eight-7-24 and operates beautifully. At this price, you seriously can't afford NOT to buy it.

its rapid memory without having a doubt, even running at 1333 mhz. if you don't know how to function your bios and are utilizing an amd processor, you need to almost certainly choose memory that's compatible with your motherboard. I made the mistake of not undertaking that and now my memory is running at 1333 mhz instead of 1600. When i tried to adjust the speed, the program booted up but when I tried to reboot it, it refused to go into the operating system or even post so i had to speak to some persons and reset my cmos to get it operating once again. Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerThank you for your G.Ability obtain and critique. Most CPUs are produced for DDR3-1333 max, so if you are unsure of how to overclock, or don't want the headache to even go there, DDR3-1333 CL9 would be ideal.
