G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Comment:
The memory works incredibly nicely in my new Sandy Bridge setup, it's rapidly, and scores particularly nicely for it's price tag point. It's also a low latency set of RAM, which assists it's stability even when it's not configured adequately. It will also remain stable at low temps when supplied with 1.5v rather of 1.65v, which is an added bonus for motherboards that default to 1.5v DDR3 This memory will not run at 7-8-7-24 timing at 1600 mhz when the motherboard is set to send it 1.5v. Nevertheless, if the BIOS is set correctly to send 1.65v to the memory, this is not a issue. Most Intel boards are set to 1.5v by default, and not all BIOSes can set the voltage properly. My ASUS takes place to be capable of doing that. Make confident you read your motherboard's specs prior to you buy this memory so you can be positive that you are giving it the proper quantity of energy, so it can supply you with the appropriate amount of performance!

Seems to work fine out of the box at advertised speeds. Got a 7.four out of 7.9 max on the windows 7 efficiency test. none Had to enter the settings manually in the bios for my specific motherboard. It doesn't have it on its supported list in the manual. Following manually entering the settings appears to operate fine. The board I got was a Asus M4A79XTD EVO

stable at rated specs and beyondTen months 24ǝ at rated specs with no problems.passes every mem test I throw at them. not a con ~ but it's heigth will block a lot of coolers including my COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus, which is absolutely wonderful. GA-P55A-UD3 mobo. if your on the fence. 787 timeings makes a distinction. don't go for the typical 999 timings of average 1600 ram.

Cool searching heat shields. Nice timings - just make certain your motherboard can support altering them in the BIOS. None so far. I purchased this certain set of memory mainly since it has far better timings than similarly priced memory. After I installed them, configured the timing settings in the BIOS and ran my memory testing application, I had no issues.

runs 1333mhz cas 7, trcd8, trp7, tras 24, trc 33, at 1t command rate with a phenom II 955 on a MSI 790fx GD70 prime tested on a blended setting overnight. Looks wonderful with my uv blue watercooling color scheme. If you are operating AMD you are going to have to enter the bios and set timings the world-wide-web has all the info you need for that. Do some research, man up and don't whine about it. It would most likely go farther but with a 8800gts in the mix that is the only part I bother to push the clocks on. As well unless carrying out extreme overclocking it's generally faster to run 1333 at low timings on AMD.Could look superior if all my slots were filled with it. Now that I'm performing some rendering I am thinking about that but 4GB on win7 64 Is adequate for any game I've played.

Excellent price and efficiency. Have 8GB ƔX2GB) operating in my MSI board. None. Had issues running at the claimed 7-8-7-24 rating. But it was not the memory's fault. My mb was the culprit and he issue was fixed with a firmware update issued by the mb manufacturer.

Very, incredibly cool style. Matched perfectly with my Gigabyte mobo. Nice quickly DDR3 and timings. Utilizing a Gigabyte 890FX-UD5 motherboard; timings defaulted genuinely low - brought them up to 8-8-8-24 effortlessly. Don't know if I want to try acquiring them to the actual advertised speeds due to the fact I've heard of folks getting issues here. But still really quick, and works fine with the mobo at these speeds. It's good having 4 gigs of RAM.

I already own 2x2gb sticks of this smokin' ram which I originally purchased for around ๳.00 back in July 2010. I knew I would want a different pair (for a total of 8gbs) so I set a Cost Alert at ๩.00. On the other hand although surfing through Newegg this morning I noticed the price had dropped down to ๖.99! SOLD! Nonetheless, what happened to my Cost Alert? None. This RAM is outstanding! On a quality 890GX mobo these Ripjaws perform! Love GSKILL ram. I am a Massive Newegg fan!!! With that said I would like to suggest that Newegg reconfigures their Cost Alert to alert members when the cost drops down below the exact quantity entered by the consumer. I was not alerted that the cost had truly dropped to less than what I had set the Price Alert to. Apart from that... I'm not saying the blue makes this ram go quicker. That is handled by the low latency XMP profiles. But these look stunning in the slots of my Gigabyte Blue PCB mainboard. They do take some setup in some mainboards. On mine to get to the XMP profile set I was required to enter the Bios and manually set the timings. I am comfortable doing this. I work with computers as a expert. This is not typically anything G.Skill can control. But you do have lifetime support for these so email them if you have questions.
