G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:
None
Pros: Good timing, similar price to the CL9. Good brand. Comment:
Got these one and paid about $6 more than the CL9 after price matching. Solid performance so far with no problems. The G Skill warranty is definitely a plus. Would definitely buy again. |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:
None come to mind
Pros: Solid brand, lifetime warranty Comment:
The picture is different from the package I picked up, so I had to double check if it's the correct RAM. The "jaws are actually a metallic blue colour and the center is black. I got these PMed so they were similar in price to the CL9. |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:
With some aftermarket CPU heatsinks, you might not be able to fill all your RAM slots with those...
Pros: Reliable memory, XMP profile is easy to enable in BIOS Comment:
all in all, G.Skill is a great company who make afforable gamer-grade RAMs with heatspreaders and cool look. This RAM kit may have an odd timing, but you only have to enable the XMP profile in your BIOS in order to get it to full speed. Yes the CPU might become overclocked, but mine (Core i5 750) VERY slightly overclocked with the XMP profile, about 2.7Ghz instead of 2.6Ghz, very little change on the speed, and still is far from overheating! So for those who worry about overheating...well...stop worrying! |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:a bit over priced
Pros:Appearenceperformance Comment:
According to G.skill's website these run at 1.60V. Their timings are strange indeed and with my asus p7p55d pro + core i5 at default they only ran at 1333 MHZ s 9-9-9-24-1t timings. To reach their advertised timings and speed. I had to enable X.M.P in bios (extreme memory profile from intel) and it auto detected the speed and timings (correct one) of the ram. They are pretty damn fast and I'm sure they can be over clocked further past 1600mhz. Problem is that enabling XMP is equivallent to OC'ing our cpu and ram. Since the votlage gets increased from 1.09 (i think stock) to 1.144. This does increase the heat but you can just increase the multiplier to 19 or 20 to get ur cpu to 3.0 GHZ or 3.2. (base clock is then 160. 19x160 = 3040mhz) When you enable XMP multiplier is set to 17 by default and base clock to 160 (to achieve default cpu speed of 2.67 ghz core i5). The memory speed is directly tired to base clock on a ratio of 2:10. |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Wrong picture
Pros:WorksCheapFast timingHas heat spreader Comment:
Pretty good ram, got it down to 7-7-7-24 b 1520MHz and 1.66V.They would run very unstable at 7-7-7-24 b 1600MHz and 1.66V though.I believe they used the other ripjaw pics and didn't bother finding pics for these particlar ones since it's blue instead of black. Default timing is a bit odd but that's alright, rather pay a lot less money for 7-8-7-24 than 7-7-7-24 |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Timings are a bit weird, but not a problem.
Pros:G.Skill.Fast.Easy to install.Cool heatspreaders.i5 Memory. Comment:
This RAM kit is actually blue and black. It's fast, easy to install, and it runs great. It's set at 1.65 Volts. |
this is a great piece of ram as it is fast with low latency. You might have to change the bios settings to allow its 1600 speed but overall it's a great piece of hardware.
