Quickly, Only demands a single PCI-e energy cable,WEI score of 7.7 Not as advertised. I upgraded on this construct specificly to assistance directX 11 and dispite whtat the page says when you go to the Gigabyte internet site to download the newest drivers it says DirectX 11 sometime in 2011? Quite disappointing. Not to loud

See other thoughts. See other thoughts. I have ordered this card, and will update when i recieve it but my reasoning for obtaining this was that I wanted the gigabyte 6850 cooler but it was out of stock. This one does indeed use the very same cooler as the out of stock card with two fans even though there is no image up, just check gigabytes internet site.

Hard to beat at this value point, plays anything I've thrown at it butter smooth at 1680x1050. Was a breeze to install, not one particular single issue so far. No bundled games or software but I know that when I bought it. Sure you can get lots of "faster" cards, but if you're gaming on a single 22" or smaller display there is genuinely no point.

Plenty of functionality to do practically something I will need to do. Only demands 1 pcie connector. Stays cool even on graphic intensive games. Plays Crysis 1080p almost everything quite higher except AA at a very playable 35-40 fps average...at least playable on single player. Just turn off some of the eye candy although you play online. The card is particularly lengthy so it gets complicated to position cables around it. Honestly this thing will do anything an common gamer could ever hope for. I play every game I have at max settings devoid of a hitch with the exception of AA in crysis and at 1080p it doesn't make a lot difference anyway so no true loss there.

runs cooler than reference Radeon HD 6850's /w the 'WindForce' cooler that Gigabyte have been placing on their cards latelyi have mine running @ 850 core񳁕 memory (with AMD's personal 'ATI Overdrive')beneath anxiety tests -> hits max 60-61 degrees (idle 42-43c) not a con... but not positive what's the difference amongst this Gigabyte version and their other 6850 (other than the minor factory overclock), bring about they both have the same after-market cooler...i'd go with the other version if you plan to overclock... i'm sure each cards would reach around the identical limits(only cause i got this a single - was due to the fact at the time it had totally free shipping and was บ less expensive)

*Cooler on the card keeps it cool even on intense load*Cooler is reasonable when it comes to how loud it is. My stock i5 fan is louder*Overclocked by default for individuals who don't know how to do it themselves *If you are going to go with CrossFire, it is far better to get a card that vents out of the case than this kind. Wonderful card for the funds, overclocking is fantastic to get added energy. I have no complaints so far with Gigabyte's take on this card.

I did a lot of research on vid cards before purchasing this one particular. I wanted to make certain SC2 would operating perfectly at Ultra settings and it does. Pushes 60+ FPS and maybe 40+ on the low end. Appears these radeon cards do greater job with bigger monitors and resolutions. Mine is 24" 1920x1080p. Makes use of a lot much less power than older cards 5800 series. Wonderful overall construction. Incredibly large and long card, but it fits into my mid tower case effectively. Excellent connectivity like HDMI with sound, two DVI, and so forth. WEI gets a 7.7 out of 7.9. Catalyst Manage Center is nonetheless somewhat poorly laid out. Like the GPU scaling alternative is hard to discover. Also, my last radeon card had this exact same issue with mouse artifacts in gaming. I am not certain if it is a cooling thing (can't envision it is in my new build) or a CCC concern. If any individual has some insight, please share. Also, SC2 didn't know what to suggest for fundamental settings. Not genuinely a con mainly because I just set it all to Ultra. This card runs every thing I've thrown at it at practically maxed, if not maxed, settings. It runs crysis, crysis 2, dead space two, you name it, and it does it with no topping 60 degrees celcius, ever, with fans at 60%. At one hundred% the fans are still really quiet, and are inaudible over my case fans. -I guess it is kinda huge, but it wasn't a issue for me. Some men and women stated they had to move their hardrives to fit it in, but mine didn't even come close. Gigabyte is great with rebates! If you fill out the rebate correct, they'll send you your funds. Just double check and make sure.

Card idles at 34c, 46c load for me. 10 avg fps increase on mafia two's benchmark more than a 5770. Very quiet, which makes sense mainly because two fans don't will need to spin as rapid as one to keep the card cool, hence cutting down on noise. Type of want corporations would cut down on production price by not adding aesthetics to their hardware. Cards with cooling systems like this one particular are far better suited for situation systems that have excellent air in and out circulation because the air isnt exhausted straight outside of the situation like quite a few other cooling systems. I preserve my case open so it operates fantastic.

When once more i'm a satisfied camper 5stars for newegg. 1 star for Gigabyte. From what one more reivew stated, I probably got one particular of the poor batches of the mem controller? Samsung/Hynix. Nicely to begin off with, I didn't obtain these here, I purchased two of these at a different retailer in the DFW region. I bought these based on revies all more than the internet of 2 of these hanging with GTX 580's and 6950's and due to the fact of the cooling setup on these cards and it does cool effectively. Coming from two XFX 4850's these were a turbo enhance in performance for sure. My 4850's would run all my games but these cards do it alot far better. These cards scale effectively in crossfire devoid of a doubt @ 1920 X 1080 with all my games. Crysis, Crysis Warhead, AvP, BFBC2, Burnout Paradise NFS Hot Pursuit, Hawx, Blur, Grid, Metro 2033, UT3, you get the idea. These cards had been a excellent investment. The blue PCB, but Gigabyte likes all their stuff searching like it belongs in a infant boy's space. Not a deterrent or even a contributing aspect but black PCB would have looked alot far better. Quiet, rapidly, very cold! This factor was generally produced for overclocking, as others have stated. Haven't required to overclock it yet, nor have I wanted to due to wanting to wait at least a month ahead of carrying out so, but I'm already tempted to see how far I can push this thing given that it's effortlessly the coolest operating videocard I've had in rather a whilst.. No real cons.. except, exactly where's my crossfire bridge?! Going to get a second 1 in another month, but it looks like I'll have to commit ten extra dollars to get a crossfire bridge aswell. No genuine big deal, but keep in mind it doesn't appear to come with one particular? Also, there's folks saying you can't change the stock voltage, can't confirm this but that's a thing to contemplate if you strategy to go that far with overclocking. If you're hunting at a new videocard for under 200, this issue is excellent. I'd undoubtedly recommend it.

High top quality mid-range card for a fantastic price tag. The dual fan WindForce 2X cooler is quite quiet on Auto setting and keeps the card extremely cool.DX11 ready.I was in a position to overclock mine to 960MHz Core and 1200MHz memory at the stock 1.15V.If you are happy with the stock clocks or restricted overclocking at the stock voltage then this is an wonderful card for the expense. If an individual ever creates computer software that makes it possible for voltage adjustments on the non-common voltage controller employed on this version then this card could be an overclocking monster like it's less costly non-factory overclocked brother already is. GIGABYTE WHAT Had been YOU THINKING ON THIS A single?! GIGABYTE genuinely messed up this factory overclocked card by utilizing a non-common Core voltage controller which has no software program support, which indicates it's Restricted TO STOCK VOLTAGE OVERCLOCKING.There is also an problem that impacts each brand of HD68xx series cards. It seems a bad batch of Tier 1 Samsung/Hynix memory has produced several of these cards unusable. Issues range from flashing/flickering displays and overlapping desktop images to black screens without having warning. Some people today have reported lowering the memory clock to ridiculously low levels aids but this is not an acceptable solution. Driver modifications/updates do not assist either, it is a hardware dilemma. If you have any trouble with your card and you are making use of the supplied driver, RMA it for a replacement. I spent days testing my 1st card before I was satisfied it was a hardware situation and RMA'd it for the one particular I have now. The replacement works PERFECTLY. GIGABYTE makes a quite misleading statement about this card..."Overclocking Capability ten%ㅖ% UpUltra Sturdy VGA board reduces voltage ripples in standard and transient state, as a result efficiently lowers noises and ensures larger overclocking capability. GIGABYTE Ultra Sturdy VGA graphic accelerators enhance overclocking capability by ten% to 30%."If you don't know any greater this statement leads you to think this card is more easily overclocked to extreme frequencies than other cards. In reality the non-factory overclocked card from GIGABYTE charges less and is substantially more quickly overclocked than this a single as it utilizes a typical voltage controller that can be adjusted by way of software program and allow you to reach stable core clocks of properly more than 1GHz. This permits you to reach the overall performance of stock HD6870 and even HD5870 cards.
