Good tiny board for the cost. Perfect for all the reasons other individuals have listed. Everything supplied works really nicely with vista 64 ultimate Supplied Intel drivers on the dvd do not install appropriately with windows 7 64bit. Coolmax pwr provide should not be applied for building systems. I utilised the ษ one with 450w. The thing shuts down randomly and comes back up and goes off and comes back up. Stay away from them. Sending mine back asap. You get what you pay for.

Wonderful little board for a HTPC. Consists of sufficient audio and video for smooth playback of 1080P X264 films. Will not boot from an ISCSI HBA. I have tried a Intel Pro 1000 server adapter, Broadcom NetXtreme and Qlogic QLA4050C and all refuse to perform appropriately on this board.Optical audio out did not perform out of box. Had to add a header to a empty PCI slot with a optical jack.

Fantastic board, came quicker than I expected with the cost-free ground shipping. Worked right out the box and was in a position to install my quad-core intel cpu with no problem. Good deal, preserve up the operate newegg. Challenging to locate drivers for Windows Server 2003 x64. Besides that none so far. Make certain you have the correct set of RAM. I had my younger brother installed my mobo since he is going for his A+ to test him and he could not figure out why it kept beeping 3x in a row.

No legacy connectors onboard, A lot of USB ports/headers, Decent onboard graphics & audio, Superior layout of onboard headers. Bios demands updated before installing anything. Tiny circuits on backside of the board interfered with CPU cooler backplate. i/o shield/ backplate port openings could match the boards ports much more precisely Had a compatibility challenge with a Sony BDU-X10S BluRay drive on this board. Challenge solved as soon as newest Bios was updated to version 117 Once the problems were worked out, the board worked nicely with no far more complications. I didn't get the high pitched noise from the board that other reviewers mentioned. I have to knock it 1 star although...... for the cons mentioned above. If you are not a gamer, who has no use for the outdated legacy hardware, I'd advise this board. Soon after all, This is only intended to be a media board & it does that properly

Great HTPC board paired with the intel E8400 core 2 duo processor, utilizing this in a nMEDIAPC 5000b micro atx case, super quiet and low heat. Got all of this from newegg of course because of the rapidly shipping and because honestly I wouldn't obtain from anywhere else. Newegg is wonderful! Acquiring the firmware updated was time consuming

Overall, really straightforward to install and use. No complaints in Windows 7 x64 at all. The onboard 3-pin chassis fan headers pulse the fans in order to lessen their speed (and suppsedly their noise level). However, if you have a chassis fan that has LEDs in it, the blinking will most likely annoy you. You're far better off just hooking the fans up to the PSU and acquiring a separate thermostatically controlled chassis fan.The audio drivers in Windows XP brought on a GUI service to be installed, which I didn't want and located no way to get rid of...

Specs appear nice Incredibly poor quailty board. Would not recognize Logitech USB keyboard in Bios (did recognize Dell Keyboard). Would not recognize either keyboard at Vista Boot prompt, Fan manage is non existent (ran case and CPU fan full speed all the time, Very Loud). Very same brand and make parts worked perfectly in an Intel DG35EC motherboard. Updating the bios from CD worked but didn't solve these difficulties. I buy intel because I want a technique that just works and I don't require a lot of extras. This is not the high quality item I anticipate from Intel.

+ High quality construction and style with modern day capabilities.+ Supports 70+ CPU's.+ Extensive excellent documentation available on Intel's . web page.+ Up to date driver and BIOS assistance obtainable.+ Numerous straightforward BIOS update choices.+ Intel GMA X4500HD graphics.+ ten럼񲿘 Mb/s Ethernet LAN controller.+ 7.1 channel HD Audio, Dolby HT.+ Functions fine with Windows 7 64 bit (needs driver updates . from Intel's website.) - #Buggy BIOS (early versions.)- No legacy IDE HDD or FD connectors (a con to some users.)- Limited expansion slots available (a micro ATX MoBo.)- DVI and HDMI video outputs only (a con to some users, use . a DVI/VGA adapter if necessary.) I do appreciate this MoBo and advised it. The only actual downside is the buggy BIOS applied in early production. The first 1 I bought became "bricked" after I updated the memory frequency displayed in the BIOS to the correct value. Upon reboot nothing takes place, no POST, no BIOS, absolutely nothing. Cleared CMOS, removed battery, and so on, absolutely nothing functions. Although researching this, I found the issue is a identified issue with the BIOS version supplied with the MoBo. A later BIOS release fixes this issue, but the MoBo is unrecoverable in it's current state as far as I can tell. Did not RMA it but. I purchased one more anyway, which functions fine with it's newer BIOS, which I updated to the most current version. It's odd to me that a BIOS could have such issues in this day and age, but I'm certain Intel is unhappy about it and the new BIOS work good.Owners ought to check out all the (great) on the internet documentation in order to fully utilize the characteristics and make installation easier. Four eggs due to BIOS problem.

Good connections, cost is not too negative This board has been lots of trouble. I have had two of these and each have had comparable complications. I have pretty much thrown this away many occasions because the problems have just not been worth it. Research this board ahead of you get it so you know what you are acquiring into. Wish I would have done that a bit additional.

Its Intel, so this is about as baseline as you get. Rock solid bomb proof stability, very good high quality components (most of the time), and extremely straight forward implementations with some good functionality features.I didnt plan on OC'n and thats superior due to the fact as Intel is known for, there is choices for anything like that in there. ... Noise. This board as soon as the machine gets into windows and the CPU start throttling down (idle) the power program for the CPU begins creating a whine that is louder than the CPU and GPU fan combined. This was a dealbreaker as this is a HTPC. So I returned the board.Had to flash the bios just before I could get a few settings I required in the BIOS. I originally bought this to allow me to move my HTPC to a new smaller HTPC case and I necessary a mATX board. Simply because 775 based boards with PCIe 2. slots are becoming tougher and tougher to discover this was one of the last choices I could uncover.Due to the fact of the concern, and the fact I am building this HTPC to be our DVR (with a Ceton 4x cablecard tuner), I want something stable and lengthy lasting so picked up a SNB CPU and Mobo rather (bought a "deffective" MSI board and just wont be making use of the SATA II ports). Now going to a low power i2400S rather of the e7400 socket 775 chip.

Appears to be 1 of the last LGA775 boards to support most of the capabilities I wanted. Arrived DOA. Quality control appears comparatively poor based on other critiques. Purchased it to replace a failed DFI Lanparty board that had served me nicely for 4 years (no longer accessible). Arrived DOA and was returned initially for replacement, but it was out of stock so I was issued a refund instead.Support and good quality manage suffer in these older goods, so I decided it wasn't worth compromising attributes and gambling on yet another defect-prone board. Upgraded to an i7-based program.

This board is an outstanding selection for what it was intended, as a stable but flexible platform for any 775 CPU. The HDMI functions well, and supports audio, when employed with my 42" Visio HDTV. Supplies good picture top quality for DVD and file playback, though I can\'t speak to its Blu-Ray skills due to the fact I do not have a BD-ROM drive. The PCI-E slot is a full bandwidth alternative for VGA upgrades, in contrast to other Intel IGP chipsets. The initially few bios revisions had been a bit rough, but has since been refined rather well, so no true cons at this point.Preserve in thoughts that this board is NOT intended for overclocking so it has quite limited bios alternatives in that regard, though it has enough to enable for tweaking for the sake of hardware compatibility.I initially received a DOA board, but Intel supplied a prompt RMA replacement and its been fine because. This board was marketed as a legacy-totally free design, but it nonetheless has a legacy I/O controller on-board to facilitate the serial and IR headers. Its not sufficient to deduct an egg, but its not entirely legacy-cost-free.I have employed both Core-2-Duo and Core-two-Quad CPUs, paired with Corsair XMS series (C5) DDR2-800 and knowledgeable no issues.

I had to flash the BIOS and after I did that, the case fans stoped operating. Every little thing else ran fine but there was an ocaional blue screen and lots of restarts. This mother board acts up when you max out the memory to 8G's at PC6400, at 800MGZ, I heard that when you lowor the 8 G's to 677MGZ or whatever that number is. Its the memory behind 800. It runs fine or when you run it with 6G's it run fine as nicely. Oh properly I RMA'ED it so we will see what happens with the new board. It acts up when you max out the memory from time to time. Its like once each and every 6 to 7 commence ups. I mean when you power the laptop or computer off and then the subsequent day you start off it up, it acts up by, booting to the big poor blue screen. I have windows 7 and all the appropriate parts and it gave me troughable. So I RMA'ed it. New egg is quick as hell with there RMA returns. Had New board in two days.

Properly built board Post takes about five minutes before you get into os. Intel consumer service tried to tell me that it was reading wireless card and the dvd rom. That is wrong simply because it hasn't even gotten to the os yet. Sent back to Newegg and bought another brand. Sadly disappointed with Intel client service. If you have all day to get into your personal computer this board would be o.k.

This board is really stable. Windows Vista x64 reconized all of the hardware. Quite nicely laid out and a excellent user guide. HI Def video and audio are best notch, even for onboard. My Gateway 24" (with HDMI input) LCD monitor with DCDi by Farqudja has never ever looked so excellent. Rock solid video play back. Post codes display is slow. No solution for quick boot. I bought a couple of Asus boards in the past and always had troubles with them. Intel is the only way to go for stability.

The best board to go with my E8400 for a media pc. I had to flash the bios and update the firmware on my bluray drive but as soon as you finish setting it up (which consists of unneeded boot possibilities) you forget it. Just remember you can't overclock if that is what you want look elsewhere but getting hdmi onboard is great one much less fan in my system and I use Altec Lansing five.1 speakers intead of the Television's speakers. I had to switch to totalmedia due to the fact my powerdvd had problems with the chipset which is most likely the root of the playback concerns on here. Since totalmedia is the only one that lists intel chipset as becoming compatable Checklist to speeding up my setup and improving boot times Flash bios .......... utilised iso cd due to the fact utility dosen't function with 64bit Turn off unneeded items in bios...................boot from lan , boot menu on boot screen , disabled all boot possibilities except HDD and CD. In windows....................... I set up to use each cores in booting (windows by default only utilizes 1 even if its a quad core) and turned off unecessary eye candy.Intel(R) Core(TMƜ Duo CPU E8400 @ three.00GHzfour.00 GB ddr2Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset1695 MB Total obtainable graphics memory1T wd blackhvr1600 tunerSubscore6.five processor5.9 ramfour.6 graphics3.6 gaming5.9 hdd Method    Manufacturer  ModelDG45ID__  Total amount of system memory4.00 GB RAM  System type64-bit win7

I put this board with 4 GBs of RAM and an E5300 CPU in a case with an old Seagate 250 GB tough drive. No optical drive since I already have a Blue Ray player. I installed Win 7 House Premium 32 bit. Using the HDMI and digital optical outputs to the 40" LCD HDTV and House Theater program. Every thing works excellent - no difficulties at all. Super sharp picture and wonderful Dolby stereo sound.Lots of USB ports (more than I'll ever use). None so far - if have any I'll post an update. This board is produced for use in a HTPC because there is no actual want to add a video or sound card. This assists to maintain the heat down to a minimum. I did go to Intel's internet site and downloaded the newest drivers 1st. I in no way trust the ones that come with the board since they are typically outdated.I only employed the 250 GB challenging drive given that I have a server running WHS with four TBs of of storage.
