Just wanted to give an update on my extreme cooling overclock working with Dry Ice. I was able to hit 5.6ghz and ran superPi mod 1m in 7.677 seconds. Hit a base clock wall at 246. Fried the chip at 1.70 Vcore attempting to go higher at -65c utilizing Dry Ice cooling. Do not go over 1.50 on air/water cooling, and do not go over 1.60 unless you are making use of LN2. These 32nm chips just can't take the volts.

Good platform for my everyday desktop browsing and is also up for some mild gaming or mulitmedia creation. Solid platform that will exceed most Computer users. I am operating Win 7 64-bit Ultimate 4GB ram and have zero difficulties so far. only dual-core but, that is all i require for this rig For me i5 isn't a choice... either i3 or i7... a light rig or a complete on rig.

Nice dual core with decent stock speed; but the actual magic comes out when you OC! Paired with a ggbyte h55m-s2h, i was in a position to hit four.8Ghz @ 1.5v on Air. Expense Efficient, Quickly, Retail CPU W/fan, W/heatsink, W/warrenty.A lot more than enough CPU for any person other than challenging core gamers. None seriously, It be nice to get the I7 for that exact same price tag, but time will alter that.Idle temps on my machine are about 100F, but it doesnt get significantly hotter under load. I dont think you can go wrong with this 1. I bought this 1 with a mobo combo for a excellent value of a cost. And havnt looked back. Its rapidly, runs plenty cool, and is simple to install.I would comfy recommending this to any individual who wants to develop a powerfull method on a spending budget. ΖGB RAM upgrade was essential]), and this CPU handles anything good! Heck, it hangs around 40-80% idle when I have all of what I mentioned running simultaneously! For the cost, this CPU seems impossible to beat, & it makes me wonder who would want anything much more potent!

Ok so I'll admit I've been a bit out of the loop so this was the initially time I'd handled an 1156 socket CPU; Gotta say, completely amazing. By no means have I had an install go as smoothly, there are no pins to bend or stab yourself with just discover the two marks on the sides and set in the socket. I lately built a desktop Pc for everyday use with this CPU, a Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB mini-itx motherboard, Lian-Li Computer-Q07 tower and a IPSG 64GB SSD. The performance of the machine overall is great. This is very a step up (expected of course) from the dual-core Atom D525 mini-itx setup that I was employing before albeit really a bit more expensive. WEI rating for this processor is 7. which is also impressive for Intel's almost bottom-of-the-line Clarkdale offering. Being the third one of these type of processors I've installed lately, installation was pretty easy. Just know ahead of time that obtaining the heatsink pins to properly seat in the motherboard is going to call for a bit a lot more force than feels comfy but that's what it takes. The one nit I have with this processor package even so is the stock heatsink fan (minus 1 star). It's really whiny. My Antec EA380D PSU is silent, there's no HDD noise due to the fact I have an SSD, but now I hear this whiny fan that just gets worse when the temps ramp up. It seems to continuously adjusting speeds. It's just genuinely annoying. I may possibly contemplate replacing it with a much better aftermarket cooler. Overall although, it's fantastic. I've got a different one that I am going to make an HTPC with and then I'll get to test the HD video/audio capabilities.

CPU pressure is constantly low. tested it was nearly 154% overall rating to my old technique. pleased with it runs a small hot as I am typing this each cores run above 30C , but the max temp was 52C. a little hot for a micro program i ought to perform on my homework :)

-Runs great, no hitches from what I can see-Temp appears very good, about 26 C-Working with stock fan, fairly quiet and works nicely -This was a small banged up when I got it, properly at least the box was. When I tried to install the fan I located that some of the spring-pin connector issues had already been activated. Most reasonably priced entry into the Intel Core i platform.Really snappy.Low Power. (runs at only 300Mhz on a firewall!) Fast, low-cost, LOW power draw, integrated video is pretty decent for htpc and straightforward platform-ish games. With a superior cooler it would be *quiet*. Superior harware video decoding finally, for some regular codes. Crashes constantly in Windows 7 x64 HTPC config on an Asus p7h55. All crashes/dumps point to igdkmd64.sys, their integrated driver. Stock fan is poor excellent, makes far too considerably noise. Louder than my 70mm case fans.If I had this HTPC to do once more I would go with AMD and integrated ATI graphics. This was a bad choice, and I haven't been willing to recommend an i3Ǜǝ technique to any person considering that. If you aren't employing 7 x64 you might not have problems.
