Pros: Good price and performance Comment:
I bought this i3 for a game/internet rig for a friend, along with 8GB Mushkin Stiletto RAM and an ASUS P7H55 mobo.I have also had an i3 as my studio DAW for most of this year and it works great. The i3 is an excellent CPU if you are looking for a dual core hyper-thread with a good stock clock rate. |

Intel Core i3-540 3.06GHz LGA 1156 73W Dual-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None, If your looking for a super performing intel processor on a budget, this is it!
Pros: Runs 24/7 at 3.6 ghz over clock but could go a lot more. 4.0 on air probably the ceiling. Never gets above 45 degrees at 100% load. Comment:
If you're looking for budget gaming equipment this is your best bet. The on-board graphics built into the i3 architecture rocks. Definitely recommended! |

Intel Core i3-540 3.06GHz LGA 1156 73W Dual-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
NONE!
Pros: -Low heat / power consumption-Blazing fast out of the box-Room for OC Comment:
The i3 540 has the price of a value processor but runs like a performance one. This thing is very fast and cool. If you are looking at building a budget gaming system, this CPU packs a powerful bunch and saves you more than just a few dollars. With today's games being primarily GPU based, this CPU will perform great for most games for the next year or two to come. For a HTPC or general user, this is a no-brainer. |

Holy crap!
Comment:
Paired it with a Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H mother board thanks to a combo deal they were running. Holy crap its fast! This was used to upgrade a customer from an Athalon 64 X2 5200. I thought the i3 would be only slightly faster than my core2 quad, but wow! Very fast and games are as smooth as butter. Very happy with this CPU and recomending it to friends in the future! |

Works very well and the fan is quiet. |
Excellent CPU who can push HTPC duties without problems and without any slowdown. I didn't use the integrated graphics because I have a GTX 460 but for video streaming, I belive it's more than sufficient, saving you a nice amount of money and power.
