I pretty much sent this set back. I purchased it to up my memory from 4 to eight gig. I wanted 1066 memory given that that is what I have in my technique at present. I decided to give them a try even though all the other reviews say you have to OC them to get them up to 1066. I place them in slots three and 4 and proceeded to OC, started at two.2V and five-5-five-18. It would get past post but hang and I had to take out the memory in order to get into BIOS to change the settings back. I kept fiddling with things until I had just about gave up. I decided to attempt the RAM just by itself, OC'ed in slots 1 and 2. IT WORKED! I place in my old RAM in slots three and four. Worked fine... I am stumped. Correct now its operating at 2.1V, five-five-five-15 and stable. MemTested it for ten hours, no errors. I guess I'll preserve it immediately after all... 4 Eggs due to the fact it took me over three hours to get this to operate. Took me a extended time to get this stuff OCed and stable. But, that's in all probability due to this getting my initially time performing it. Out of two sets purchased, a single set operates. One particular of two sets arrived DOA. I bought two sets of these a few weeks apart, each while there was a rebate accessible. The initial set arrived and functioned about as properly as I'd expected, the second set would not boot when tested in either of two machines. However, I can not get this memory to run at the advertised speed in my motherboard (an older asus p5w-dh deluxe) when I fill all banks. After a significant quantity of fiddling with speed settings, voltages and timings, I ended up with 8gb running at four-4-four-12 timings, two.1v, at 834 mhz.

Great Ram takes the lil OC i have given it and doesnt seem to run hot at all. Looks good in the case and performs properly. Runs stable and have not seen a blue screen in ages. Takes some understanding of bios settings to get it tweaked effectively. I have a feeling this is a typical with all 1066 ram but it wasnt as tricky as other individuals make it out to be. Overclocks extremely well. Defaults at DDR2 PC 6400 齠MHz) but runs perfectly way beyond those specs. I'm working with an Asus M4A785, and have it running at DDR2 PC2 9600 speeds and at 4-four-four-12 timings, allowing the board to provide voltage automatically and it is only making use of 1.8V!!! Smokin' fast! None Not sure why so a lot of other folks are getting so considerably troubles OC'ing this RAM. Perhaps program boards aren't capable, or as capable as this newer platform? Not sure, but I decided to push it and it's running like a champ.

Customer assistance is helpful, however not absolutely versed with my situation. At 800 MHz runs stable. Does not carry out at advertised speed 񡺪MHz) with my current motherboard (Evga 780i) when incorporated. I can only attain 1000MHz unlinked with my present configuration 񡹨MHz 5-5-5 15 2T 2.3v.) Even with these settings RAM is unstable, had to settle with 800MHz five-five-5 15 2T two.2v to acquire stability. Apparently upon further investigation I ought to have purchased two 4G sticks to achieve 1066MHz. My fault for not performing my homework regarding compatibility concerns ahead of I purchased.

No begin up issues until I got into altering the settings in the bios (see cons). After i got it running, this memory runs excellent. I'm running a dual-boot OS and with Win xp sp3 and Win 7 ultimate 64 bit...this memory is running outstanding. Got it running at 1100mhz. Shipping was quick and the packaging was pretty padded so overall, one more excellent encounter with Newegg. With my mobo, the memory booted at 800mhz and the timings were WAY off but it was the mobo's fault. I changed the settings/voltage manually and for some reason my system started hanging at boot up. I had to clear the CMOS, load my overclock settings on cpu in the bios as properly as the memory settings. Now its running genuine nice.....Some memory and mobo's will automatically run the memory at the intended specs......but not mine. Read your mobo manual carefully and check for compatability before you purchase this ram System: Asus M3N-HT deluxe/hdmi 780aAmd Phenom two X4 955BEʄghzKingston HyperX T1 4gb ddr2򜡌mhz2XEVGA 9800GTX+'s in SLI, just added a GTX460SSC+WD Caviar black-Win7, WD SE16-Win XPCorsair 850TXLG DVD 24XEvery thing but the hard drives and dvd is water cooledCora

Well; My technique is definitely faster... However, I'm finding blue screens and Memory dumps each and every other day since I installed these chips!I had two regular Ř-GB each" chips installed and running in my GigaByte Board for months, without having a single problem. So I determine to increase the method with these modules, at an expense of 赝.00 for the set of 4, now BLUE SCREENS regularlly. What a cost to pay for crashing my method! I might as nicely pull the two old Memory Modules outta the drawer an stick them back in to my system, it might be slower, but at least my method wont Blue Screen each other day...

Instantly noticed a difference immediately after replacing my old memory.Runs at 1066 fine soon after some tweaking in BIOs.Very stable - I haven't gotten a BSOD from it butGot it at 15% off too! Heat fins are fairly lengthy, hasn't been a problem for me but anyone with a bigger CPU heatsink or limited room in their case really should be aware. Set my voltage to two.1v and my timings to five-five-five-18 and haven't had a single issue. May possibly try to tighten up the timings in the future but for now it runs great!Just make certain you do your investigation beforehand - it took me a little bit to discover how to effectively OC RAM in my BIOS but it was entirely worth it.
