It performs, plays DVD's and most blu-rays no issue. Install was effortless, unit feels and looks strong. Integrated Powerdvd application is unstable at ideal. Avatar wouldn't play at initial, but I later identified out that concern was much more connected to the actual disc than the player. Had to unplug my HTPC from the internet to get Avatar operating. No firmware updates offered. I use this in my HTPC and it has done well, specially for the cost compared to stand-alone players.

Operates no difficulties - Sata good - computer software that comes with it functions fine - Transformer films looked fantastic - great price and totally free shipping - what else do you will need - performs for me! Has not died - Curious about what some unfavorable people today have said - possibly they genuinely got a poor drive OR maybe they don't know what they're doing! smile life is to brief!

very low-cost, comes with software program that DOES play BD's so some of you are naturally performing a thing incorrect if you're complaining. Does what it supposed to do..what else do you want..cost-free candy every single time you open the tray? every thing seems fine for now dont wait about...wont last at this price tag with software

Played RobinHood release when PS3 and Philips player would not. Quiet. Easy to install. Tried about 5 different BD movies so far and only two worked so it is hit or missed. No firmware update available. Not confident I would buy once more if I had the similar chance as prior to. Cyberlink Powerdvd was pain to install. Included disc needs to be upgraded as soon as it was installed. Install took some time in each instances even on a i7 with 6gbs and sata 3 drive.

it's rather. i can't download anything from lite-on, they say i'm not authorized. what does it take to be authorized. i purchased it oem simply because i built a new program. i didn't get any software program with it, had to rely on windows for drivers!

Plays Blu-RaysPlays DVDsPlays CDsMatches (sorta) my case. Does NOT recognize/burn blank CD-Rs I am happy with it just it was a turn off to locate out that I can't burn CDs. I have not checked blank DVDs but I think about the similar point.Nicely at least I salvaged an old DVD drive, only factor is that it uses an IDE cable.

Simple to install and priced ideal. None however, gotta attempt a bluray now. Value priced, and free shipping. Just glad my pc is in a position to play blu ray disks, it's an old agp method and nonetheless able to.

Reads Blu-ray, Dvds, and cds properly. Writes Dvds and cds quite swiftly. Quiet. Cheap. The software that comes with the drive is pretty easy to use. *You should use this system to watch Blu-ray Videos unless you currently have another system to play it. Microsoft has not added Blu-ray to its programs but.I was able to link Windows Media Center to the Plan included so I can open the system from WMC. none

Installs speedy and straightforward and plays everything that I have put in it so far. CyberLink PowerDVD 8 included. I really feel it is the worst piece of adware there is for viewing a video. That's why I removed an egg. For complete use of the Blu-Ray drive, I originally got it to make screen shots for reviews, find soemthing else to view the films with as CyberLink PowerDVD 8 does not allow producing screen shots of Blu-Ray films.

its a blu ray drive, i suppose it would be alright if it worked a lot more than a couple of weeks. I have complications with it reading discs, it will randomly quit reading blu rays. It doesn't seem to have a challenge with dvds or cds but thats not what i bought it for. I'm still waiting to get a response back from lite-on warranty support. Don't get this certain drive.

worked appropriate out of the bubble wrap. It is an OEM drive so bear in mind that when purchasing. not about this item but just wish bluray computer software did not have so quite a few bugs in it. over all i like the drive and can get 2 for the cost of a cheap stand alone unit.

Seemless recognition in win7. Smooth play. Very fantastic after a day of play. Used with WinDVD 2010pro. ATi 4770 graphics. Got it for 39.99 so great deal for the player at this level. Not so far.It would have been good to get software package with it but at the cost, what the heck... I notice several people employing it with PowerDVD 10. I did not want to devote so considerably so I went with Corel'sWinDVD 2010 pro which this month is on sale for 39.99 identical as player and it performs best. The sound is outstanding as effectively. Saved me 40 bucks more than PowerDVD.I hope to critique immediately after longer use.

Worked straight from the box Included software is stereo only.Can often hear the disc spinning throughout playback I didn't even take the software package disc out of the box. I bought PowerDVD Ultimate and have 7.2 surround sound and 3D capabilities now!

The player does function - immediately after I purchased new software package. The CyberLink software did not function with no freezeups and bluescreens and sttutteringgg, until I bought Cyberlink 10 software program. Magicly each dilemma went away. So my ุ BlueRay (good cost/value) ended up costing me 贘 which is not fantastic cost/value. In truth I could have purchased a a lot much better drive for less that came with the software package I had to buy. If a drive demands software package to run that is NOT included, it Must be disclosed. I hate throwing eggs, but the hit for the software was unexpected when it is advertised as software included.

Operates fine watching films. This drive had serious issues with reading data CDs and DVDs though attempting to install applications with it. I have two drives in my Computer so I got around it by utilizing the other drive, but this one particular just epically failed. Like I stated, it played motion pictures just fine, when it came to data disks, it failed miserably. I am running Windows 7 64 bit Residence Premium if you want to know. I know this is a firmware and/or driver dilemma. Lite-on doesn't seem to have a extremely very good troubleshooting database or forum. If I can't get it to read DVDs OK, I will replace it with an LG or an ASUS drive soon.

I got this on special for ื.99!!! It's wonderful. I operate from residence and have multiple monitors. Sometimes I rent Blu Rays for my PS3 and don't get to watch them. But now when I have downtime I can watch. And it's actually not loud at all. Only Con was the drive ought to have come with a SATA cable and a SATA power converter too. It played just about every Blue Ray Disk I attempted, so far. (Even even though it was only two...)Windows 7 recognizes it with no any extra driver installation. I was scared when the motherboard BIOS listed it as a CD Drive.I was even additional scared when Windows XP recognized it as a CD Drive. On the other hand, when I place in a DVD, it recognized it as such. When I place in a Blue Ray Disk... XP doesn't appear to help it. It functions perfectly in Windows 7 with the use of Power DVD ten. Sadly, Windows 7 Ultra does not contain a Blue Ray Player. I have not attempted it in Vista, for I lack the OS CD.
