The only thing left is to get a better router
Comment:
This wifi card is deffinately the best i have ever used, it's high loudness and high sensitivity give it a very long range and it has very high download speeds, i think the only way i could possibly make mine faster was if i got a new router.

Works Great
Comment:
I had this card installed in a computer in the basement & the signal was still 'Good' Strength with the Router being located on the 2nd floor of the house & on the opposite end of the house. I've also placed alluminum sided walls between the router & this card & can still get a signal to my router. I haven't found anything yet that'll block the signal. I don't use the Linksys Monitor though I use the Windows Wireless Connection monitor to connect to my router.

Good Conection
Comment:
Windows says exelent conection even though the signal passes through a cinderblock wall and then travels another 40ft to the wireless access point. Good quality wireless card!

Not cheap by far but
Comment:
This unit works like a champ, far better then lwer cost items but it is not cheap by far, almost three times the price of the acerage unit but.. if you do not want installation problems, possible future probelms, and support other then india, this is the one.

Just what I needed
Comment:
The wireless adapter installed easily and configured simply and quickly. This wireless adapter was up and running within minutes.I have had a number of Linksys products with consistent success. Always check that your new motherboard has enough slots. Many have fewer now-a-days. I swapped out a less needed card. If not look at a USB adapter.

Cons:Price

Pros:Good connection strengthOK performance
Comment:
It's about time price on these thing drop  a bit, but since we still have not much choice, this is a great card. It's far from the fastest around even if the signal is great.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Comment:
Small well made card. Easy install on an aging Win XP box. Have not tested its range yet. I'm Annoyed by system tray apps that don't have a way to opt out. I know how to disable such apps and test if they are really needed but many people do not. You can tell this when their system tray is populated with a lot of useless garbage. I guess I'm just a neat freak remembering the days when you had to preserve as much of the first 640k as possible.

Installed this Linksys WMP64G WiFi adapter in a Dell Dimension 4300 with Ubuntu Linux 8.04LTS ''Hardy Heron'' and had no problem at all. Installed card, connected ethernet cable to wireless router, booted up and found that Hardy Heron recognized the new hardware and downloaded and installed necessary drivers. Rebooted computer, disconnected ethernet cable, opened network manager and configured 128-bit WEP, and presto I had a full speed 54Mbps WiFi connection!

This thing has a very long anttena for no reason. Its the same as the ot $14.99 wireless cards on the site. The control settings from linksys is poor and dsconnects you off on its own at random. But its good design makes it very druable, it fell 20 times so far and still works as it should...

Very high quality wireless card. I simply installed the software then put the wireless card in and it worked right away. Also the circuit board is reinforced with a metal plate making it more durable.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Comment:
I have used this adapter card with absolutely no hassles or issues. I was in the military in a huge bay living with 30 other guys, and they would always use my computer to download stuff because this adapter had a great connection. I just wish it was a N adapter, and I'm thinking about upgrading now that I have high-speed FIOS. Hope the next one works as well as this one.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Comment:
I haven't been able to get the card running in Linux/openSUSE. The card installs after some work but can't connect to my network. I can connect to the same network using other computers running Linux. Admittedly, it might be user error and not the card, but I suspect the card until I try another one. And it's frustrating nonetheless.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Cons:It drops the connection occasionally, however I cannot tell if it's actually my router or the card

Pros:It works very well and I get good signal everywhere in the house.
Comment:
Overall I'm very satisfied with this product. I actually purchased two of them and they work really well. I would buy them again, I get great speed with them and they were very easy to install.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Cons:Not fully suported for vista 64

Pros:good connection strength
Comment:
The drivers are causing occasional BSODS on Vista 64, as well as bad connectivity. Linksys does not officially support this card for Vista 64. Buy a ethernet bridge or wireless game adapter instead. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-23-08 12:36 PM

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Cons:- No Windows XP x64 drivers!

Pros:- Reasonably priced- Reasonable perfomance
Comment:
There's not much that can be said for this card. I gets reasonable speeds (500kB/sec down, 55kB/sec up; which is what my ISP allows), so I can't really complain about it's performance. I wasn't pleased that Linksys never bothered to make XP x64 drivers, however! Regardless, though, under XP x32, its performance has been satisfactory, with very few network drops.

Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter
Cons:needs some tweaking to work to its full potential.

Pros:very fast downloads
Comment:
first of all, the drivers on the CD are from 2005. the latest drivers on the linksys website are the same. got the drivers directly from the chipset manufacturer (ralink) which was far more up-to-date.after setup, my download speed was typically slightly less than half of what i would get through wired. so after a lot of research, i found out that increasing the tcp receive window (RWIN) to a higher number, it allows your card to work to its potential. i used speedguides "tcp analyzer" to calculate what rwin should be set to, then i used DRTCP to set RWIN (edits a registry file) and my download speeds have more than doubled.i have yet to test the range of it. i will be moving my router/modem to the basement and keep my computer in the livingroom which is why i bought it.at first, i was not very happy with this, but after a little tweaking, i am very happy and surprised at the speeds im getting over wireless.
