Malefic@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 02/19/08	Linksys WMP54G 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter Cons:not using windows connection manager, sometimes drops connection Pros:easy install Comment: Popped the card in someones computer and grabbed the latest drivers from linksys. It is paired with a WRT54GL and working fine. The occasional connection loss, which i've attributed to the card since nobody else is getting dropped, but I expect the occasional drop on wireless.The card is using some dumbed down linksys connection manager, but since it wasn't my computer and the person using it is fairly computer illiterate, i decided to not try and fix it. That fact would personally prevent me from ever buying this same card for anyone else, myself included.

For some odd reason they do not play well with each other and the Linksys card will fail to connect or recognize the network(if it is D-Link)! The customer support was okay but they really didn't know much about their own product, plus their support division is in the Philipines. So you have to keep that in mind! I had to return this card back to TigerDirect.com and get a replacement from another company!

It installed cleanly in my parents computer, and the drivers installed without any problems. Overall a good product.

Pros:has removable antennathe included software is easy to use Comment: I haven't actually been able to get it working for the hotspot i'm trying to access, it just connects to the router and then won't get through to the internet. I'm pretty sure that it's not the card's problem, but a problem with the software that is included. I'm going to get my own wireless router so I can make sureThe software also doesn't have a setting in it keep it from starting up every time when the computer starts, but i'm sure there is a way to make it stop if i do some more research. I'd recommend using this card if you have other software to manage the card's connections or if you don't care that the software is bloatware.

Super simple installation, found my home network and hooked up seamlessly using WPA-PSK. This baby is fast, easily fast enough to stream internet video, e.g., CurlTV and MLB-TV, or internet radio. It also gets good reception, picking up nearly the whole neighborhood wireless nets. (I may want to change my channel, everybody else is using my choice, too!) The Linksys installation and drivers are the simplest around. Enthusiastically recommended.

Comment: If you see those on sale, you must get one of them. They are extremely reliable, stable wireless adapters - the best I've used. Arguably, the price is a little too much (unless you get one on sale), but you're paying for quality; it has never dropped a connection with my router. Recommended product.

Comment: I would probably try to set this up using the Windows utilities, because the included software is a systray pig. I've purchased many of these and never had any problems. Try and get it when it's on sale, as it is frequently.

The signal went through 2 walls without even a hiccup. Setup was a breeze so I highly recommend this product!

However, the included driver has a memory leak causing it to consume vast amounts of RAM. The newest drivers seem to resolve the issue. That aside, I would buy this card again.

I had a D-link installed and kept getting startup errors because of the driver (had this happen in two different computers). Bought this card and have had no regrets. My router is on a different floor and i still get about 80% signal compared to the d-link which only got 50% in the same place.Definitely Recommend this product to anyone who doesn't need N but wants a decent card.

I contacted Linksys and they have no intent to support 64 bit windows XP in the forseeable future. Driver support for 64 bit Vista is still 'To Be Determined', which means they arent sure if they even want to bother.

Quality! :) Pros:Reliable and quick!Constant connection.Solid and fast drivers.Good support from Linksys website. Comment: I only trust Linksys when it comes to wireless technology. For a home environment, having 2 of these do absolutely everything they need to, and that's to be able to connect to the Linksys WRT54GL. These cards are reliable and quick! Constant connection and always connected right when the PCs equipped turn on. The drivers are solid, like that, so that's why I'm giving this product 5 stars.

After redo the process, it runs great, gave me strong signal and fast speed.When I upgraded my OS to Vista, it did not asked me for driver and was configured automaticly.Overall, very good product,standing for its Brand.

It is currently 60 feet away from the router and maintains a solid connection between 46-54MBPS. The installation and setup went well and I was online in about 10 minutes.

Pros:stable and fast Comment: Very easy to install and is pretty fast, I have the Linksys router in the basement and my computer on second floor has no problem connecting to it with good connections. Only problem with it is if router resetted due to power interruption, the connection may need to manually reconnect, software doesn't seems to reconnect automatically.
