Adjustable weight program makes it possible for user to customize the really feel of the mouse. Plug and play without having installation of Logi's Setpoint, but can be futher customize if you do. A lot of buttons to suit both gamer and casual user. Free scroll mode on the wheel is a bit touchy. When scrolling by, it gets jumpy and you have to click it back off. This buy was to replace my dying Logitech MX518. I really feel it was a worthy upgrade. The button placement for the dpi settings are far more accessible and the inclusion of the led to verify the settings is invaluable. Despite the fact that it is branded as a gamer mouse, it has the attributes to make a causal user appericate it.

Great mouse for about a year, right after that factors will get broken. A lot of money for negative good quality. I upgraded to this mouse about a year ago. I decided to put my old faithful MX 518 to rest. So I thought I would upgrade to this bad boy, my error. The LED for the DPI setting went out about in to 2 months of ownership. About 19 months right after that the left click button would double click quite rapidly when only clicked as soon as. Out in the garbage it went.Went to my local Computer shop and picked up a MX 518 and fell in love when once more.

Very good DPI. As well heavy even without having the weights. Why anyone would want to make this mouse heavier is beyond me. Also, the sandpaper-like coating makes it uncomfortable to hold. I've been employing an mx518 for the past couple of years and this seemed to be a greater version, but it's really a handful of measures back. I returned it and got a new 518.

Just upgraded from an old Microsoft Intellimouse that started to die. So far, I'm loving the G500. Very responsive and accurate with movements. Seriously like the side grips, feels extremely comfortable in my hand. It's sliding extremely smoothly across my mouse pad. I kinda really feel like the scroll wheel is a tad also big and the middle side button is hidden, but no biggies

Finest mouse I ever had! Put the weights in it and it has a nice hefy feel to it. Fits perfectly in my hand, I love the ease of altering the pointer sensitivity. The wheel operates genuinely properly and is so adjustable. I'm not continuously hitting the side buttons and receiving unexpected final results like other mice. Got my rebate in a month well within the time they said it would be sent. Am a pleased camper with this acquire! None

Fantastic really feel, adjustable weights, buttons galore. Software (Logitech) is rather useless and minimal on support. Braided mouse cord cover, textured thumb places and laser DPI with on the fly settings is over the top in gaming! Can switch in COD Black ops - low for gun aiming and high for Valkyrie Missile steering! Have the knife set on button 6 (thumb) and man what a difference!

it glides like a champ, the side buttons are handy. This is exactly where stuff goes wrong. 1st the cord is this Thick Nylon which if you have a rough edged desk it will get caught on it. 2nd If you don't have a massive hand (like me) your out of luck i really feel like im trying to grip a softball when i play a fps game. the Side material gets greasy effortlessly (no i don't eat pizza or chips when i play games ( i usually scrub the mouse off and attempt to keep my hands clean ) but they usually really feel greasy. I don't know which genius believed it would be a excellent thought to make the cord out of nylon overall its a mouse i can reside with it but the tiny annoying points trigger my OCD and annoy the hell out of me

+ Excellent style+ 3 Side buttons (better than 1, but not excessive)+ Weighting+ Value (Got it for ษ soon after rebate) - Grainy texture on sides (takes finding applied to)- Scroll wheel alternative button appears a bit low-cost I use this as a corded alternative to my G7 (which I adore dearly). The side texture on the thumb and crazy loose (even when set) scroll wheel surely take obtaining utilised to, but are not worth a deduction. All round I'm glad to see that logitech keeps designing good mice, even soon after obtaining some of the ideal on the market...and giving you the solution ofmaking them heavier & not cluttered with macros buttons.

two additional buttons yay! Texture is very nice for those with sweaty palms. Ergonomics are extremely related to the g5, but the bigger thumb assistance. I maintain hitting the DPI adjustment button for some cause. This happens seldom, but can be annoying. Also, the weight layout isn't as complete as the g5. There are fewer slots so you can't replicate the exact same exact weight profile. I miss my g5 :(

The DPI is great, the software program is super, the buttons are positioned just correct for my little hand! Enjoy the really feel. I'm not a gamer, but I enjoy this mouse additional than my MX-500. Had to make a transform when I went to Windows 7. I Do allot of digital artwork, and I adore the weights and added precision. none and now they have a rebate supply.....thinking of buying one more one particular <i:-)

wonderful shape, not too tiny, matte finish on top rated, good buttons, dpi manage. mouse cost-free wheel feature is neat. the laser on this mouse is invisible unlike my final mouse (logitech MX518) for some reason this mouse performs on a textured plastic buffet style table although the older mouse which created use of a standard red laser did not. That mouse needed a mouse pad to perform. I'm not positive the cause for this but its a great issue. The custom weight feature is actually great. All in all this mouse is good!!! only factor I've seen is with the freewheel function enabled the wheel doest seem to be perfectly balanced, enabling the web web page to scroll a bit uncontrolled fashion as the wheel tires to discover its natural balance point, considerably like a wheel and tire being balanced on the machine in an auto garage. with additional practice this can be overcome by just clicking back to clickie wheel mode quite speedily. This wheel practically undoubtedly has a bearing inside to be capable to spin so nicely (which is additional of a good). one far more tiny con is the mouse feels slightly rickety when shaken really tricky. this is just the different parts but primarily the custom weight holder moving slightly. Each of these are quite minor cons though and not enough to detract even on egg imo. my final gaming mouse was yet another logitech product. the MX 518. that is an additional high good quality gaming mouse with dpi manage and great buttons. Nonetheless I in no way did not like how the surface area and most important L/R buttons of that mouse had a glossy finish. This made fingerprints stick to best of that mouse rather very easily giving the mouse an icky feel. The new G500 mouse generally cures that challenge by possessing a matte finish. the fingerprints might nevertheless be on the mouse but you'll discover them much less since of the non glossy finish. I tend to be a freak about maintaining my manage peripherals and video game pads squeaky clean although as can stand the really feel of greasy controls. I think logitech has has engineered this great matte finish onto the mouse to ease the fears for those of us who might be germaphobes and for this I salute them. Well completed logitech!

This mouse has a 5 egg rating for a cause. It is a fantastic mouse. I use mine for daily laptop or computer work, not gaming. It is rapid, accurate, the weights are good touch, it fits the hand better than most. This mouse definitely outperforms any mouse I have previously owned, and light years ahead of the Targus junk I utilized till now. totally None! This is an investment. Go for it, you'll love it.

High DPI. Comfortable grip with lots of added buttons. The buttons are placed well, I'd say catering additional to a bigger hand than a smaller one particular. Very good software for customizing bindings and tweaking the settings. The swift switch for the scroll wheel is good for switching amongst scrolling pages to gaming actions such as cycling weapons. The loose scroll will scroll through a novel if you flick it challenging enough. The extra mouse buttons don't work by default on a lot of games. I found it finest to map them to buttons like up, down, left, ideal, property, etc. Binding them to F keys tends to conflict with game or OS functions, and numlock dependent bindings will not perform with numlock off. This mouse was made with a palm-grip in mind. That said, its far more than worth the slight inconvenience of adjusting if you're employed to a claw-grip.The DPI +- buttons are cool, but I remapped them to Page Up and Page Down to have extra bindings for gaming and for a little bit of OS utility, and they are a lot additional useful that way.The weights are type of an all or absolutely nothing issue to me - you want it light? take them out. heavy? place a tray of 4.5g's in. Seriously it appears additional like a novelty than anything. I just leave them out.

The mouse is excellent for gaming. I like how it comes it with multiple weights and allows you mix and match to get the greatest really feel. The side grips on the side are a tiny bit wierd like grip tape from a skate board, it comes in handy in the course of individuals multiplayer mathes exactly where you get in the heat of the game and you lose control of your mouse this corrects that problem. Fabric USB cord is a plus. The DPI switch and scroll button works wonders though in game of doing other tasks like word or other productivity applications. It's a superior mouse for gaming I would advocate to a buddy. Software program lets saved profile's activate with certain programs that you pick. The grip tape sides are great but requires some time obtaining utilized to it. The software that comes with the mouse is lacking. Just about thought this application would be like a zboard. The programmable buttons have a select options to bind them to. Which is wonderful if your going to use this mouse for spreadsheets and photoshop but this is a gaming mouse. The DPI only has three settings, kinda wish there was a way to tweak individuals settings, I catch myself wishing there was a middle in between the quickest and middle. It's a great mouse with a tiny tweaking of the software and couple of minor improvements this mouse could be a wonderful mouse. The value and what you get although make it a fantastic choose. I can look through these cons and nonetheless favor this mouse over some of the more intricate mice cause I like a mouse that makes it possible for me to plug it in and go rather than have an engineering degree to just appear at it.

feels fantastic. general excellent is fantastic. doesn't feel low cost. three buttons on the side and two buttons left/right scroll buttons are incredibly helpful. i played crysis two and utilised 2 scroll buttons for speedy altering weapon options/armor/sensor/etc. prior to this mouse i utilised old fundamental three button mouse and simply did not had enough buttons to maximize all the selections that i want, at times i had to stretch my finger to tap h button for extra selection simply because i utilized all the buttons close to my hand like q,e,r,f and so on...now it's so much earlier for me to play games with additional buttons for quick altering weapons/armor/etc... hyper scroll button selection is totally useless. it doesn't even operate appropriately. when i scroll down it automatically scrolls up. i regret not shopping for this mouse ealier! i adore this mouse!

The weights are the 1st issue I like about this mouse. The shape is the 2nd. The 3rd is the dpi adjustment. I like is far better then the Death Adder since of the shape. "the DeathAdder is a good mouse" You can hold this mouse several distinct approaches devoid of getting your hand cramp up. The added weight is a bonus simply because, you really get a really feel for what you are undertaking and the dpi adjustment performs excellent with it. I have a Ghost mousepad and it slides like ice on glass. Wish I could get yet another 1 for my laptop. The finish wears off slightly. And it isn't as great as it was in the starting of course. The concept of adding weights to the mouse is brilliant.

Adjustable weight, precise, functions properly Initial settings for the side buttons are somewhat challenging to use I found that the side buttons on this had been incredibly challenging to distinguish without having moving my finger totally onto the button. This made it somewhat awkward to use even though gaming. I fixed this problem by remapping the middle of the 3 to the front a single, and utilizing the front 1 as my customizable "any" crucial. This lets me use mouse4/mouse5 swiftly, with out any ambiguity as to which I may be pressing, while still leaving me an added keybinding inside simple reach.

very best mouse i have ever utilized! amazing mouse! general top quality is quite high! i like the matte finish since it truly aids your hand nonstickable for long time use. compare to glossy/rubbery mx518 which makes your hand sticky and hot. grip is equally comfortable. the side buttons are small easier to press than mx518. middle scroll button is tiny challenging to press but i got applied to it. mx 518 is a ghetto version of g500. i gave mx518 to my dad lol

Fantastic gaming mouse. Lots of buttons. I am a prior G5 Logitech mouse owner. I got 5 years out of that mouse. Only factor I found a bit tacky was the scroll wheel seemed rather loose. And felt wobbly under my finger. What I discovered impressive is the button below the wheel provides either smooth - resistant totally free scroll or the choice of a cog wheel ( a tad bumpy, though great feel). A plus in my thoughts even although it did really feel loose on the latter.

Decent specs, great replacement for my broken G5 Feels kinda heavy, the scroll wheel skips in freespin mode and only registers slower rolls. From time to time the scroll wheel or the middle button registers a hit only by picking it up and putting it down.
