Logitech G500 Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Comment:
A really solid mouse that is nicely developed in a lot of ways.Aesthetics/feel:- The mouse is a excellent overall shape, and feels comfortable in your hand- The rough high-friction rubber on the sides make gripping much simpler- The side buttons and DPI change buttons are well positioned and effortless to access- The scroll wheel is properly positioned, and the button to adjust the scroll approach would seem to be in an odd spot at first spot, but its great- The adjustable weight program is a good touchManage:- Great laser, tracks incredibly well. That's actually all I need to have to say there- Braided cable is properly built and doesn't get in the way, and is of decent length- DPI modifications rapidly; no noticeable delay- All buttons becoming customizable is a good touch You have to be mindful of the variety of grip you prefer. I am utilized to slightly differently shaped mice that can be used with a a lot more shallow/lower grip. This is a "palm grip" mouse, so for optimal use, it calls for your whole hand be on it, especially if you have smaller hands like I do.If you do have smaller hands and you don't give it a full grip, you are pressing the buttons down at a slightly odd spot, which is why they don't depress as considerably, given that the correct and left click aren't essentially separate buttons (they are portion of the exact same piece of plastic as the rest of the mouse). My 'grip mode' by option is exactly where my wrist rests on my desk, but to effectively hold this with a full palm, my wrist has to be elevated in the air. This is one thing I will likely get employed to, but even so, it's important to know what works best for you. Also, I come across the scroll wheel sounds a bit too loud/mechanical when doing quickly scrolling in incremental mode (I don't really like the no cost-style scroll mode I know this is a high-finish item, but seriously, "enthusiast mice" are way too high priced. It's just a mouse. It should be half what it generally expenses.

Good, massive mouse that feels comfortable in my hand. Scroll wheel is switchable between clicking and free-scrolling (infinity scroll, I believe they call it). Very nice for scrolling extended pages. Side buttons are in a little wonky of a position for my hand, but workable. Undoubtedly not worth removing an egg. The weights included are worthless in my opinion. This mouse is certainly worth the price of admission if you're a semi-significant gamer!

Button selections and feel. Sleek design. I've tried updated firmware and drivers to get this mouse to maintain it's sensory in-game. It will randomly turn off and on in-gmae throughout a fire fight freezing my mouse aimed at nothing and get fragged. I've noticed other evaluations about mouse delay or the connection not always being continuous. It's quite annoying. Get another mouse for cheaper, heck, go trackball.

5700DPI, great really feel, fits my big hands.I enjoy the DPI controller, when i am playing video games i just put it up as high as it will go and when i am on my desktop i just pop it down to the middle.Scroll wheel is actually smooth, i adore the totally free wheel mode too. (CS:S dualie scrolling is Awesome) Began dying on me right after a year or so, it would randomly shut off for a few seconds and the scroll wheel broke. No worries though I'm nonetheless rating it five stars because Logitech sent me a new one in three days, all i had to do was give them my info as well as my m/n + p/n + s/n of my old mouse. They didn't want the old 1 or anything, they just stated okay we're sending you a new one. Logitech consumer assistance is amazing! In 5 years only two Logitech goods of mine have broken, getting my G35 headset when it fell off the desk... They replaced it within a week, and now my mouse and they replaced it in 3 days.

Comfortable, adjustable weight / ballast is surprisingly valuable, really like the high quality, software program isn't bloated with useless stuff, adore the fact it can "burn in" settings and retain them in its own memory, lengthy cord with smooth sheathing. Lots of buttons are all straightforward to reach and truly useful! Splitting hairs here - but I wish the toggle in between smooth and notched scroll wheel settings had been more nothcy feeling for weapon selection. I in no way before believed I'd ever invest โ+ on a "gaming" mouse but I have to tell you this mouse is worth every single penny! You won't be disappointed.

Logitech G500 Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Comment:
I bought this mouse on a whim in a big box tech shop about a year ago, on sale. I gamed very a bit, but never ever utilized a mouse "designed" for gaming. I fell in love with the feel of this mouse immediately. The thumb keys are fantastic -- I use the middle one for PTT in Ventrilo, and the other two for in game functions, or forward and back in internet browsers (my work mouse lacks these and it's SO frustrating). Changing the DPI is good, but I don't do it on the fly all that typically (changing in game just throws me off). I may well re-map those keys soon. I love the notion of fabric coated cables, but this is the second device I've owned where a kink began a fray, and when that starts there's no fairly way to cease it. I wrapped that section of the cable in electrical tape, which looks ugly. Another negative is that at times the middle mouse click seems to not function unless I press it just correct (maybe I'm moving too far to 1 side and activating the side clicks?). This is genuinely frustrating when attempting to throw 'nades in game. Lastly, on my mouse there is a bit of give to both main mouse buttons prior to the actual click. This is commonly not a dilemma, but often it is frustrating. I only deducted 1 egg mainly because these are more nuisances than correct cons.

Extremely comfortable mouse, weights are wonderful to customize your preference for the weight of the mouse, and customizable sensitivity is excellent. Not as a lot of weight slots as the G5, and only 3 settings for sensitivity when the G5 had 5. I upgraded to the G5000 from the G5, they are incredibly comparable.

-The mouse has a extremely comfortable fit for my hand.-I like the selection of switching in between a clicking and a smooth scroll.-The additional buttons are conveniently placed. -Though it is a very good mouse, it does feel a small flimsy. This is almost certainly since I am applied to a lot heavier, clunkier, mice. I bought this with a new ripper mouse pad and they are a definitely nice fit.

This is a great mouse. It replaced my mx518 and has been solid since I got it. It has more than enough buttons, adjustable weight and is of good quality. Nothing negative to say about this mouse, have used it on xp, and win 7. Would buy again.

Logitech G500 Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Comment:
There are some minor tweaks with the G500, which essentially feels slightly more symmetrical, with a wider but less pronounced thumb groove that flows far more smoothly into the body of the mouse, but it's essentially the similar. It's a small more texturally vivid than I'd prefer, with sides that feel like rubberized sandpaper for gripping, but I got applied to it quickly enough. The laser engine inside now pushes 5700dpi, or specifically 100dpi a lot more than Razer's newest laser engine. Logitech peeing on the peeing match, in other words. It also polls at 1000Hz, the exact same speed as Razer's sytem. (FWIW, I couldn't discern any difference in between Microsoft's 500Hz polling and Razer's 1000Hz in actual gaming sessions.) The G500's tracking and accuracy is great, each on cloth pads and my fake wood desk. Crippling FlawsThe cause I dragged you through a brief tour of Logitech mouse history is simply because Logitech repeats it with the G500. The original G5 messed up on the thumb buttons and scroll wheel, and the G500 manages to screw that up spectacularly too. It's the initially gaming mouse MX500 descendant Logitech has graced with the hyper-scroll tech that's been in its high-finish consumer mice for a while—it's got a toggle button that lets you pick between common clicky (but nonetheless speedy) scrolling or the hyper-infinite scroll, where one flick of your finger spins the scroll wheel practically forever, shooting you down a million lines in Excel in half a second. Which is good, if you spend a lot of time in Excel or zipping by way of net pages—not so good if you're flicking by way of a handful of weapons in Left 4 Dead. Even when it's not in hyper mode, the scroll wheel's nonetheless quite quick and loose—though that's some thing that you can mitigate with careful scrolling. Gaming gear, in theory, really should be all about precision. That's why Logitech tells us the dots per inch the mouse's sensor can manage and how quick and how often the mouse gets information from the laser sensor. That's why I can adjust the dpi rating on the fly. That's why Logitech consists of weights with the mouse, so you can even adjust how much it weighs, down to the gram. But two buttons that men and women use a lot are big failures in precision. Whole buttons. That negates fundamentally everything else that's great about the mouse, which is a lot, like the heavy braided cable, or built-in profile storage, so you don't have to redo your settings everytime you take it to a distinct personal computer. So, my tips? If you're dedicated to Logitech, wait for the next G500, or the surely inevitable wireless variant. Logitech will possibly fix the complications in the revision, just like they did prior to. Or, just stick with the actually good G5, which is ฤ less costly, at โ. You don't truly want 5700dpi anyway.

Good mouse. Really like the weight method as I have a larger hand and the heavier weight makes the mouse feel more responsive. None I have a Logitech MX 518 as nicely and comparing the two I would undoubtedly go with this mouse. Now whenever I use the MX 518 (everyday at function) it just feels light and plastic. This mouse feels substantially better. As for the laser pointer, I couldn't tell a lot of a difference between this and the MX 518 as both are really excellent, but it was all about the weight of the mouse and how it felt in my had.

I bought this to replace my broken Razer Lachesis. I think this mouse is waaaay better than the Razer. The drivers work properly and the mouse doesn't seem to have many quirky jumping or late start issues. It runs smooth and feels nice. I use it in Starcraft 2 mostly and I find that because of the shape I feel quite stable when clicking around the map. The mouse also has adjustable weights which... I am not sure if its necessary but I did play around with different weights till it felt like what I was used to. My one big gripe with this mouse is the scroll wheel. When I first got it, it felt like it was going to come off. It seems like that is normal for this mouse and I doubt it will come off, but sure felt like it. Other than that, I am so happy with this mouse that I will give it a 5 out of 5.

Got this for a steal thinking about its ๕.99 from Logitech, ๋.99 from newegg - ů PROMO CODE as nicely as ฤ MIR. Thats only ะ.99! Can't beat it for this kind of good quality.Upgraded from my old 510 to a 518, then to this following needing a lot more response from my mouse on my greater resolution monitor. Fantastic mouse. Adore all the buttons. Works great for my games. Logitech software program is user friendly. I enjoy how you can click the button and cost-free wheel with the mouse wheel. The cord is my only concern. The very same cord sort (braided covering) was the demise of my last logitech mouse. My inexpensive Dell mouse with the plastic cover by no means gets twisted up or pulls out of the mouse.

I like the color superior than the blue crackle impact the did on the 2nd gen G5 gaming mice. Lots of new buttons to discover and customize. Setpoint software has been updated to an quite very good level. significantly better than the old versions. no rubber gaskets on the weights. also logitech cut the size of the weight cartridge virtually in half. sadly this makes it feel quite light in the front half of the mouse. I am loving the new button that sets the scroll wheel to smooth scroll or click scroll. very nice touch.

This was my initially foray into "Gaming Mouses" and i went researching around for about a week, the major challenge i was having was locating a decent mouse that didn't look like a transformer and was in fact a mouse with high quality features, nicely this mouse has it all and then some, terrific ergonomics, i adore the 3 extra buttons on the side and also the fast change DPI with programmable DPI levels, the weights included with the mouse, i thought had been alittle goofy but i guess if you want super ultimate customization then its cool, i at present use three of the four.5g weights and 3 of the 1.5g weights together, makes it a medium weight, love the texture on the mouse and also the color speckling on it, really elegant mouse none weights were goofy, everything else was great

The expense of a gaming mouse is going to be somewhat high, but this is Low-cost for this high quality of a mouse. I play FPS and RPG alike and I use all 10 buttons. The DPI is great, the software is flawless, the buttons are possitioned practically perfectly, and I have but to yell at this for doing something wrong. At 1st this did appear a bit significant for my hand, but immediately after a few days of obtaining applied to it, I now think this mouse is the ideal size. I enjoy Razer mice, but they are merely too costly and provide much less attributes than this. I am pleased I got this mouse as it is every little thing I was searching for.

Cons:When trying to hit the middle mouse button, its very easy to move the scroll wheel left/right instead. This is easy to get used to so not that much of a con.

Pros:Comfortable, tracks movement very well, adjustable weights are great to have and easy to use, change DPI on the fly, profiles for each game, thumb rest is very grippy which is nice.

Awsome Mouse. Finest I've used. I owned G9 and now G500. Both are fantastic mouse. G500 is good upgrade to G9 for the quick scroll. I like it! Highly recommended. After using it everyday for 10 hours + your hands get tired.... But then it's about time to take a break anyways. If they can make a mouse that allows your hands to be in natural position. Fully take out all the discomfort immediately after using it for long period of time. Plus selling it at an economical cost like this. It would sell like hot cake!

wonderful mouse. comfy, responsive, superior weight to it, and has good solid clicks. possibly a replaceable cord? (see below) I play with quite low sensitivity so I have two problems: locating a mouse that tracks at high acceleration and cord wear. just about every year or so I seem to be replacing mice due to the edge of my desk wearing although the cord plus they quit tracking and start skipping.my very first gaming mouse was a g5 (precursor to this model) then immediately after two of those I got a g9. it was a excellent mouse, but it just didn't have the right "feel." Soon after being fed up with wires I got a g7. It didn't function nicely enough and felt laggy. I then decided to get a mamba (iirc) because it had a detachable cord.....returned and got yet another g5.bottom line: get this mouse if it feels great in your hand. you won't be disappointed.
