this is the second one of these that I have purchased from the Egg! Wonderful board, straightforward to configure, HDMI, and looks great. These boards also support ACC for unlocking cores in the AMD x2 Phenoms, (although chips will vary). ATI 4200 was very easy to set up running the newest Catalyst drivers. Not a factor so far. Great board with a ton of BIOS alternatives! Incredibly reasonable priced for the stated possibilities. Just supports a single video card, but with currently's great video cards; is CrossfireX or SLI actually a will need? If one is employing this as I have for a second HTPC system, it works excellent. Has the onboard HDMI for great image excellent and sound!

Bouth it for my residence teather, rapid mobo setup, oc jumpers are excellent, effortless to get 4th core on AMD BE CPUs, onboard video 񢫨) plays BDs and common DVDs and some games. Conected to my 42" HD Westinghouse 1080p monitor. Tv imediatly indentified as hdmi 1080p input. Amd Phenom II 720 wǚth core enabled, four GB Patriot ddr2 1066, HD: 2X WD 16OGB Raid program, 1x Wd Green 640GB single raid storage, LG BD dvd, 512 shared video memory, Coarsair 8GB Prepared Boost USB flash stick. If you want to use double width PCIe video card, you can not have a PCI sound card. It blocks air flow to video card. Did'nt let me set Wd green 640GB Sata2 up as Raid Ư. I hope future Bios update will do that. You get what you paid for. It is not a high finish game mobo, but it does everythig else, and it does it excellent. I will purchase another any time if I want 1.

This is a wonderful little board. I wanted some thing smaller than the full ATX board I was working with and this genuinely fit the bill. It's got a great chipset, although I have not tried the onboard video.Onboard sound is outstanding.It has six *well positioned* SATA ports (why do they insist on pointing them straight toward the apparent place for a video card anyway??).The heatsinks are nicely thought out and not in the way. I use a Sapphire HD4870 card with a significant aftermarket cooler and have no clearance issues of any kind. I was shocked at the speed of this board. I just replaced an ASUS M4A79 Deluxe with this board, all other hardware is the very same, no software adjustments even, and there is a perceivable raise in the speed that programs open and in tough drive access occasions. Only two RAM slots, but I was only employing two anyway. By the time I want to upgrade to 8GB of memory, 4GB RAM sticks will be low-cost. No eSATA, but I can add that with a low-cost add-on card. This board even looks excellent. It is going in a custom scratchbuilt case, which I've spent nicely more than a hundred hours on now, and the black and gray setup is best. Now I don't even have to cover it up. (Unlike the Asus I replaced.)

fantastic value did not perform and I ordered two of the exact same mother board the very first did not come with any cables and the second did but did not work at all either.

Functions great with Unix/FreeBSD. A lot of SATA channels Ɩ). Has built-in RAID, despite the fact that I don't use it. Plenty of USB ports too. None that I've identified so far. I got this board over a year ago to rebuild my FreeNAS sytem. It has worked great for me and I've had no issues with it. I noticed that a number of people had been giving the board negative critiques mainly because of ATI's problematic video drivers. That's not MSI's fault, it's ATI's and not every person buys these boards to run Windows on them. ;)

- Excellent Price for this little guy.- 786G chip set works excellent !- zero difficulties setup, all bios worked great, ram, cpu all looking good- HDMI! Only two Ram slots would have liked 4.Only four rear USB slots. Man i enjoy this board. I bought it to replace a dead P4 board that went out following 7 years. Also upgraded the CPU & Ram. This was suitable in my price range, i already have a sweet gaming Computer so this is mostly for little stuff and the on-board video works great, hooked it up to my HDTV through HDMI and it looks super superior. It even works with my old power provide which only has a 20 pin atx energy connector. BOTTOM LINE: I would buy this once again and advocate it to friends.

Good look. Has the capability to unlock cores. Nice audio attributes and excellent onboard chipset and graphics. HD4200 graphics chip was totalled. VGA output was the only one to function. USB controller failed after a couple of hours, so any keyboard I applied could no longer input commands throughout boot up for the BIOS, CD drive, or something else you can feel of. Seemed promising at initially till it showed it was a dud.

Build an HTPC working with this MB... I initial tested the on-board graphics (Radeon HD 4200), but opted for discrete graphics to drive 3 monitors (well, two monitors and an HDTV)... I am able to record two unique HD channels whilst watching recorded shows (and play/work with stuff on the other two monitors)Has performed every little thing that I have asked for a very reasonable cost None yet I am surprised how small processing power the HTPC functionality essentially takes working with a separate card (HD5670)...

*I was seeking for a 785 chipset as I had a couple Sempron's laying around and my daughter required a PC for school. For ฿ I was able to unlock my Sempron to an Athlon II 4400e which is essentially the exact same as an Athlon II 240. So, I'm happy!*Very pleased with the HD4200 integrated graphics. Imore than enough for house workplace work, web surfing, movies, and simple graphic games like Plants vs Zombies. *Rich BIOS featured will please any overclocker.*I like that he SATA connectors are at a 90 degree angle. i have a gigabyte board exactly where the SATA connectors are flush and they interfere with a graphics card. The suitable angle keeps the SATA cables out of the way. *The BIOS function set is a small convoluted for the avg Joe. I like Gigabyte's and ASUS BIOS superior. This has every little thing you need, it just took me added time to figure it out. Not worth knocking off an egg. *The boot screen doesn't tell you how to enter BIOS. How difficult is it to say "press Del (or whatever) to enter BIOS" on the boot screen? Very good mobo, especially on sale.

I'm beginning to think that there truly aren't any. The price isn't that wonderful thinking about the hardware failures. On-board Network interface failed in much less than three months.On-board More than-clock DIP switch failed in about 8 months. The network interface failure wasn't that major of a deal. I just dropped in a NIC. But when the OC switch failed it brought on data corruption. It happened at the worst feasible time. Not only did I have to reload the HDD from a disk image, most of a month's worth of data had to be re-entered. Don't purchase this motherboard!! If you have 1 already, make sure to image your HDD as frequently as feasible, then buy a unique MoBo! That's what I'm going to do. Wonderful Board wish it came with additional RAM slots but whateve. I unlocked the four cores from my Phenom II three.1 Black Edit. BUT instead of it getting Dual core it now be Quadddddd =D I haven't had ANY complications with this board and hopefully by no means will. ɛ MSI

The motherboard accepts a AM3 CPU which is good due to the fact this is the future. The install was seamless and the speeds are a great. I wish that there were 2 PCI express 2. X16 A very good all about PC

i have owned 3 mobos from msi they have all worked great until now i enabled the usb in bios and i nonetheless can not get the usb to read my mouse or keybord but hers the thing my keybord has an addadapter for the ps2 port and it works that way but the g5 mouse nonetheless does not. but the usb mouse and keybord works on mine so i feel the mobo is bad here thinking about rma soon after chrismas truly sks was trying to make a game com with this board for my brothers cant bleave msi let me down

Properly designed, quiet, very good airflow, fantastic onboard audio and video for all but the tough core gamer. Bought two of these, installed the very first one in a new construct for a consumer, and it hasn't missed a beat. This one was on my shelf for a couple weeks, and I decided to try load Win 7 with it. I quickly started having problems when none of my SATA tough drives were recognized. Right after trying for about 3 days to get this to work, I called MSI to locate out what was wrong. They advised me to RMA it and I did. Came back final week, and now my drives are recognized, but after loading Win 7, all I get is black screen. I have tried many distinct drives, quite a few diverse installs, checked memory, and it still doesn't work.MSI support is much less than beneficial.

Got board to replace old program. Was easy to install, manual was straightforward to follow. Applied the Athlon IIx3 435 with no issues. Every thing was as advertised. Software program installed drivers nicely. This is a good low price board that works as advertised and I gave it 5 eggs mainly because of that. none I read a number of reviews on this board before buying it. I was amazed at the people today that downgraded it for not getting side port video memory, only two memory slots etc. My thought there is purchase the board that has those items, yep they cost additional the board comes as advertised. If you purchased a vehicle with a v-6 would you downgrade it for not getting a v-8 due to the fact you didn't want to invest the extra to get the functions.

Install went fantastic. Straightforward as can be. Onboard ATI HD4200 graphics have no dilemma playing 1080P video at 60 hertz from blueray discs. Motherboard has no firewire connections at all. Not a huge deal. I knew this from spec list., but it would be good. ATI graphics software program not as customizable as nVidia graphics software I had on one more motherboard with nVidia Geforce 9300 onboard graphics. So far so excellent. I've only had motherboard for about 3 weeks. I hope it lasts. Previous reviews listed difficulties I have not had (yet?). It was my first MSI motherboard. It went well.

Came in a DIY package, so I saved a few bucks. It died after the initial install of the OS's 1st reboot. When it died, it took a stick of the ram that came in the DIY package with it. Between RMA'ing the mobo. Acquiring it back again and then acquiring out it took out a stick of ram with it, then had to RMA that... I spent my savings in shipping replacing rubbish. I would _NOT_ waste my cash on this again. Newegg. You get one egg for your customer service. I'd say a lot more, but then this won't make it to the posting and the customers need to know. ez oc switches, am3 support bought this for hybrid crossfireX wasn't till following i found that HCFx only supports up to radeon hd3450. must have spent much less on onboard VGA and a lot more on additional PCI E x16

Board worked well, has all the nice little plugs and gadgets to make the price amazing, however... I, and from online research, many others, had a problem getting the board to init. display to VGA. Simply would not do it... Pop an HDMI, she runs perfect... As a solution, I just have my TV connected thru HDMI as a secondary monitor, which was planned anyhow. Anyone with this similar problem, try this solution

This is my 4th MSI motherboard and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I bought it bundled with a AMD Phenom II X4 945 Quad Core Processor - 3.00GHz and with the fast boot I'm ready to log on in 10 seconds or less. I miss the firewire connector the previous board had, but I can add that to a PCI slot. It's true the manual can be a little confusing to a novice, but it is written in a straight forward manner. BIOS setting are good for any beginner. I always do a little tweeking for my tastes. If you want a good MOBO, this is a good one. You can't go wrong with a MSI or an Asus board.
