Good All Purpose MB
Comment:
Got this with an Athalon II XP2 and 4 gigs of ram to replace an older MB. Fast enough for anything I do in an office setting and the DVI out was really nice with a 23 inch monitor I just bought. Booted up on first try and har been running continuously. Not a lot of bells and whistles but a good and speedy system.

Nice!
Comment:
Excellent buy! Installed without a hitch, set up very easily, and performs like a jewel. Using AMD Athlon, Corsair memory, Masscool fans, and a custom case from 1996; made a very nice package.

Great MB!
Comment:
Excellent value! I got this MB in a barebones system. I installed 7 on the system and planned to buy a video card loader, but the onboard from this board are smooth and look great!

MSI 785GTM-E45 Motherboard
Comment:
This included as part of a bundle. No problems with installing the board. Works well with AMD Athlon X2 7850 and 4 gig of Corsair DDR2, PC6400 RAM. Not found of the where the sata connections are as they are hard to get to once the board and all hardware is installed. It's workable though. Seems easy to overclock though I have no need for it.

No problems with this board!
Comment:
Bought this as a barebones kit for $330. All teamed up with this board, AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition 2.8GHz Dual Core processor, 4 MB of Corsair XMS2 PC6400 DDR2 Dual Channel 800 MHz memory, Seagate 750 MB 7200 RPM SATA HD, OEM System Builder Cooler and the Power Up Mid Tower case with clear side and light-up cooling fan. The MSI 785GTM-E45 AMD 785 Motherboard has the AMD 710 Southbridge which lets you unlock the locked cores of the X2 and X3 processors.(Also Sempron 140). The case is chincy, and I cut my hand while removing the knockouts. Cooler is adequate, and the case fan is noisy. Everything works great, as advertised, fast computer and what can I say? One of only two places I buy my computer supplies!

Fine Board
Comment:
I got the board in a barebones kit, it was the first one I have ever put together, but Im familar with computers, It has about all the plugins you need. I did overclock it, it runs greate at 10 OC but at 15 it froze up a little so I went back to 10 and its running fine at 3.08 the temp stays around 46c. I think this would make about anyone pleased, as for me Im very satisfied with it

Confusing
Comment:
my tech genius friend had some problems cause the layout was a bit odd to him, had to mount it 3 times, the first 2 weren't done right. Attaching the power cords for my case's front lights was confusing cause the instructions on the motherboard, just off the center, by the RAM slots i think, was hard to understand, but we finally figured it out, i think. in all it seems to be running fine, mounted the CPU fine, the fan on top of that. as for long term durability, you might have just had a bad setup of a bad batch for this model, sorry ya only got 6 months outta it, i hope mine lasts better.

Reconsider
Comment:
I've built and help build several computers, so I have some experience with a couple of motherboards. Do not bother with this motherboard. It burned out very fast. Listen to this, I purchased this motherboard and it worked well for six months. Next thing you know, my computer does not turn on at all and it was the motherboard - it short circuited. So, I called MSI, did the whole RMA request thing and they sent me a new one. The next one comes to me three weeks later, and guess what? It burns out AGAIN, only after one week of using it. Don't bother with this motherboard, trust me. It is important to spend a good amount on a different motherboard because that is where all your parts attach. Don't attach your parts to something you cannot trust.

good product for the price
Comment:
I got this motherboard in a barebones kit. I had never used this brand before and I'm generally very picky about my motherboards. However, it seems to be a pretty good quality mobo. Everything works well and I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 on it. My only complaint is that it only has 2 RAM slots on it. It does have alot of overclocking features on it and that could be a plus in the future (as game requirements get higher and higher). I'm running in default settings for now and it's very stable. I've had it up and running for a week now with no problems.

Used this board in 8 computers
Comment:
Paired this board with Athlon II 240e for a nice fast quiet computer. The drivers that come with work well, and updates are available. The old P2 ports came in handy in the business where these were installed. Also the three monitor ports are amazing. I hooked up and HDTV and an analog VGA monitor no problem. Win 7 works like a charm. Highly recommended. HTPC capable as well.

MSI 785GTM-E45 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:only 2 dimm slots, DDR2

Pros:low cost, 4 onboard USB headers
Comment:
I needed a board with 8 internal USB ports so this fit the bill. There are others but this has a more recent chipset so it was the obvious choice. Unfortunately the the AM3 version with DDR3 only has 3 internal headers (six USB ports). This review was modfied by poster @ 01-17-10 11:14 AM

Upgrade
Comment:
This was a replacement to a board i couldn't flash. Less features than i wanted but it is MSI and I'm now 3 for 3 in boards that run great from them them. Only downfall to this MB is its Micro ATX and has only 2 PCI slots but still managable though i will lose one to my video card taking double space. But what ever my matters i make for myself I still recommend MSI boards:)

Great Motherboard with HDMI
Comment:
Pros: I put together a great little PC so I could watch Hulu on my TV and Windows 7RC had no trouble loading and configuring. Cons: None Other Thoughts: I plugged this into my Philips 32 inch LCD TV via the HDMI port prior to installing Windows 7RC and it worked like a charm. The only problem I had was the onboard graphics card defaulting to 1080p resolution which worked but made things very fuzzy. It was easy to downgrade the screen res to the actual native settings.
