Very easily fit into my case [Thermaltake Spedo Advance] below my two DVD burners and above my HDD section. Came with every thing you required to set it up, like further temperature probes if you goof up on taping a single where you require to. Came with the unit itself, mounting screws, high stick tape [almost like the thin Post-It notes] for the temperature probes, additional temperature probes and a manual. Cables were exceptional length; reached the back of my situation by way of my cable management holes with no challenge. Energy cable was also a steady length and was a four-pin molex. Pretty colors, when it's working. This is an update to my earlier critique. This device now is usually dark, and often the fans it controls are not operating as well. So it is worse than I had stated just before, it can seriously harm your Pc. Sometimes it lights up now and at times it does not. I have identified it dark and all my HD fans (which it controlled) had been off. Thank goodness it was not controlling the CPU fans. This is the worst piece of Pc hardware I have bought in years. It's nice to have one thing that can notify you a fan failures. But if this device is a lot much less reputable than your fans, what excellent is it?

This issue has been working fine given that I got it. For all the people today out there saying it does not operate with 230mm, this is false. I have mine at present running in a HAF 932 with all three 230mm fans operating perfectly and 2 other 120mm fans. The controls are a small tricky to use. Looks cool, in theory is extremely helpful. It has a good massive digital clock, controls five fans with 5 temperature gauge. Awful reliability. The clock is slow, I had to reset it as soon as a week. right after about 6 months the clock froze altogether. Fan controllers don't enable for complete speeds, i.e 2000 rpm fans max out at 1500 rpm. I own 2 of these. A single is on my son's personal computer. The controller looks cool, and has pretty lights and animated fan icons and all sorts of digital numbers to impress your friends. It's easy to setup, and wire to fans. Mine stopped saving settings like the clock, and C or F temp display and fan speed settings (ok, every thing) when I turned off the pc. It's impossible to read the display at even the slightest angle off center. I would attempt to slow down some of my larger RPM fans and it seemed to have no impact even even though they were 3 wire fans. Larger, slower turning fans showed the exact same RPM reading, and had been not adjustable or even in a position to be turned off. I tried to hook it to my chipset fan and it showed a thing like 9100 RPM, so I switched it to a situation fan. My best guess on the other fans is that it has a tricky time with fans that have LED's. Good display and attributes (when operating). Uncomplicated to install. Not the greatest documentation. They need to mention that it could need to have to be powered directrly from the PSU. looks cool will not control the 240mm fans on the haf 932- the wires for the fan and temp senor are extended sufficient to hide and reach all the fans and hot spots. looks cool but not significantly on functionality.

Unit has lots of attributes and looks actual good. Viewing angle is not that excellent, but it is readable and at eye level it looks fine and is quite clear... I've only had the unit working for about a week, so I can't speak on its life span, but it does seem to be well built and is simple to perform with... Extended wires, etc., making every little thing effortless to connect. These sort of controllers perform greatest with fans that are intended to be employed with speed controllers, so maintain that in thoughts when deciding on the fans you are going to use. Nice display on the front of the unit. This unit beeps intermittently for no apparent cause and fully turns off which stops all my fans that cool my gaming rig. NOT Very good. Been dealing with NZXT for the final couple of week and they appear to be a M-F operation with a few individuals working in the workplace. Not as responsive as I would like. I would not obtain this fan controller once again based upon the performance of the one I have. I guess the test will be how their RMA division deals with me. Up to this point they are vague on what they want me to do to send this unit back. I'll wait a couple days and see how well they perform.

I love this controller. With 7 fans in my Corsair Obsidian 800D I need something functional to let me know the temps in my rig. As long as you place the temps probes in the right places, you get a very good sense of the temp levels. The manual that comes with the product is a bit too thin. It could stand to give the user some better pointers as to where to put the temp probes.

it looked good...although it lastedtends to make a superior paperweight! on for 5 minutes. and guess what rises out of my case...SMOKE it fried the red wire on the line it was on all the way by way of to my power provide, and ran down 3 other lines, taking out 4 fans, and my tough drive. PERMANENTLY. never ever purchasing nzxt once again. not after this. i really should've listened to my friends and purchased one more challenging drive or power supply. now i gotta replace both, and my fans. excellent job nzxt. i adore you guys.

Looks.I actually like the big bright clock. It's been portion of my HTPC for practically 2 years now and looks incredible with my black brushed-aluminum case. The technical troubles I've had with this far outweigh the sexy looks. Ten months following I bought my fan controller it stopped operating and I didn't understand it till it was too late. I have had a few times exactly where my pc boots and the fan controller shows the clock but doesn't power all the fans. Certainly this is a recipe for a meltdown and it's produced my CPU and GPU overheat without having any notice. Thankfully my motherboard auto-shutdown saved my chips. My Fan2 temp stopped operating following 12 months. I have kept this around because I paid so substantially for this factor and I was prepared to attempt to fix it. NZXT technical assistance was not beneficial in troubleshooting the problem, and just told me to replace the battery. That only worked long sufficient to get me past the 1-year warranty mark and I began getting problems again. My 2000 RPM fans SAY they top rated out at 1600rpm and my 1500rpm fan maxes out at 1000 rpm. I dont know if thats just how it is getting reported or if that is all the controller will let them run. Just about every fan you get will say + or - ten%, but 500rpm? whats going on with that??? Im missing out of 1Ǚ of my fan speeds, even tho they seem to be doing the job, might just be the B.A. CPU fan I have. Dunno. pretty frustrating...
