I just got the sentry LX to control my fans and to make my gaming case look cool. I find that it was pretty basic to operate. I like the auto option because the sentry will turn off or on whatever fans are needed and I don't have to worry. I also have a manual setting, which I have setup. I have read reviews on people complaining that the batteries that comes with the unit dies fast, so I just got a new one "not sure that complaint is true".The sentry does have a beeping sound to let you know that its turning off fans, there is no beeping sound when it turns on fans when your systems gets hotter. I do hear the beeping when I turn on the system, its around 3-4 beeps.I really like the time and date, when I play BF3, I can look over and check the time out.So far, this unit works for me, for now. I wanted to use this for my HAF-922, but the 3 major fans use too substantially power, not rated for this. So I produced custom adapters that power the fans from the PS, but send RPM info to the Fan controller - functions excellent, but I don't control the fan RPMs; but my fans are quiet anyway. Don't obtain this for heat sensing during overclocking, as it is not an indicator of CPU temp, even when attached to the heat sink. Clock gains a lot of time per month (for me)! Pretty.

5 fan control channels. 5 probes. Looks OUTSTANDING. automobile/manual fan control. going to want to do alot of wire management. only increases RPM in 100 increments, 700-1200. Installed in a CM Stacker 830 with 2 fans controlled off the MB, four off the Controller. Lets be honest the reason to get this is it adds a nice presentation to the front of your rig, this is eye candy and yet retains utility. I'm pushing four 120mm CM LED Fans.

Looks downright attractive on my Stacker 810. Having the time display and date on front of Pc is convenient. Digital speed selection is a good perk. Just failed a few hours ago on me. Doesn't even have a back up alarm in the event that it breaks, so even though my fans Were NOT spinning on my CPU temps brought on blue screen!!! ( four.05 ghz Quad ) 90c!!!!!! :( Temperature probes had been at least 10 degrees Celcius off what computer software would read. Lastly the viewing range of this is miserable, w/ my tall case looking eye level at the Sentry I have to stand up to make letters visible. I suppose they ONLY believed men and women put their computers on the floor. the last few months occasionally the factor would spin up the fans to full speed ( ULTRA KAZE SCREAMERS LOL) so its not a slight audible difference. I'm extremely disappointed I had to rely on software program temperature monitoring since the piece I bought to do that very same factor failed so miserably. Had I not been residence, I may well have a fried gaming rig.

does what it's supposed to. sturdy. authentic rather than low cost plastic. effortless enough to install. five fan controllers and 5 temp monitors. simple to use buttons. attractive display (although not the craziest about the led colors but not a major deal.) can save personally chosen fan rpms which is employed in manual mode, or auto is a preset configuration you can rapidly switch to. can turn fans completely off if desired. you can turn the temp alarm off if desired. my other 1 (different product, same simple function) would generally go off when it wasn't OVERheating and there was no way to modify that or shut it up if i didn't need to have to hear it. original design. i like it. the only factor i've noticed so far that is a slight pain but not enough to really sway my overall opinion on it is the fact that like i mentioned though an attractive display, the parts of the display that are not supposed to be lit up are nevertheless really visible unless viewing from nearly a ideal angle, taking away what could have been an overall good display. worth the income if this is what you're lookin for. had to drop an egg for this one just simply because of that display issue. if not for that, would be close sufficient to best. now let's just see how extended it lasts.

Was Good and loved the display and ease of set-up when i 1st got it. The unit was uncomplicated to read and it controlled all my fans as necessary. Slowly died, have had it for about a year and right after 6months the diplay began receiving lighter and lighter then the whole unit just died. Have tried anything with no luck. Was really happy when i very first installed it but not confident i would obtain one more one after it died just before a year of use. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for selecting NZXT. -This fan controller makes my Haf case appear even more boss then i thought it could-The displays are simple to read, and even effortless to program.-Its a cheep way to make your laptop or computer look a lot more like a gaming rid.-Wires are extended and cable management friendly-Temp. sensors, if set up correct, are all but invisible.-and last but not least it provides a fast temperature check on the air flowing via the case.(although this is not constantly 100% accurate.) Now begins my individual story of woe, or list of woes. -This fan controller has no manual, or at least not anything worth calling a manual. -It has a every uncomplicated installation guide with no pictures or diagrams to support the novice computer system goer.-No list of specifications, I say again; No list of specifications, namely energy consumption.-difficult to read at some angles(To be expected of an Lcd screen)-Won't function in my laptop or computer at all. If it is plugged in absolutely nothing else will power up such as the Mother board. The lack of specifications Actually bothers me. I am going to run some tests of my own to see how a lot power this thing takes wattage wise, simply because it doesn't say. Not confident if my technique ought to be able to manage it or not but here it is.-700 Watt CoolerMaster power provide -ATI Radeon HD 5830 ASUS-Amd Phenom x6 3.-x2 Hdd 7,200 rpm (Combined totalɆ.2 TB)-CoolerMaster V8 Cpu heat sink.Neweggs energy supply says i have about 170-ish Watts in leeway so unless this Controller takes up 170 Watts i feel something is wrong.

Nice design, uncomplicated to read screen, simple to install, works like it need to. Molex energy connector. I purchased this product a few month back for my NZXT Tempest Case and I genuinely couldn't be too significantly happier with this product. The all aluminum black front panel blends effectively with the all black Tempests front plate. The screen is easy to read from essentially just about every angle (don't know what people today are complaining about). Yes it does have some flaws, like it only supports 5 fans as apposed to the 6 that the Tempest case has, I mean the Tempest is a NZXT item. It also has an problem with the fans "disconecting" even though in use, I was going to RMA it but I managed to fix the challenge (aside for the occasional beep) so it's not a massive issue.

Looks good. Connections to fans 1 and two won't enable for the rpm to be adjusted but those exact same fans connected to 3, 4, and 5 function just fine. Contacted them about this and they stated that it could be my fans. Don't assume the understood what I meant and now they wont answer me back. Initially and last time I ever get a item of theirs! A phone quantity would be good for support!

The controller was not compatible with my gelid fans, they wouldn't even attach to the fan 3 pin plugs.Finally got the controller to work properly after installing the silver battery thing in the back. 1 week later, it wont stop beeping, the lights are very very VERY dim, and the numbers displayed don't even look like numbers.Very disappointed with this product, especially after paying 60 bucks for it.

I like this product, I really do. Nice interface, good color, controls are straightforward and intuitive. The fan energy connectors are all 4-pin motherboard style. Unfortunately, most case fans are the older style five-pin. This would get 5-stars if they had included some power connectors/converters to go from five-pin to four-pin.

Meh Problem ş that I overlooked though installing fans on my Thermaltake vh600's regular fans - Watts...- Only 4watts per channel- Restricted to 3pin connectors- Forget Molex- Only 5 fans...Exceed the max watt = fried LX Looking for fan wattage specs is difficult.Save the headache, don't bother with this product if you need to have lots/high-end fans.The touch screen verisons have 10watt max per channel... I guess I'll just have to suck it up and take a touch screen...

Looks great and worked flawlessly for 3 weeks..... Have owned less than a month and the Š fan stopped working and now im attempting to replace.... I hope the replacement unit works longer.... pros.......beep.......beep the chipset randomly can't detect a fan for a sec causing it to beep and throw all fans to max rpm, when i initial got mine it would beep every few days now it beeps every 3 min and about to throw it away, do not get I'm warning you appear at all the critiques absolutely nothing but complications wish there was a assessment when i bought it beep

-Looks Great-Auto & Manual Settings-Temp Alarm -Display can be tough to see throughout the day-Included sensor tape is horrible-Dosn't power fans as far as probable Mine stoped powering the ş fan following about three 1ǘ weeks. I waited too long to return it and am now stuck with it.Overall, if you are ok with sacrificing efficiency for looks, this is a very good selection.

-Fantastic looks. Definitely rounds up any gaming rig.-Has a temperature alarm.-Has long cables that support up to 5 fans + five temperature probes.-Works as advertised. Auto mode adjusts your fan speeds according to the temperature probes' readings. Manual choice works like a breeze, you can choose any of the 5 fans, though you can only control the speed by 100 RPM increments. -Supports 3-pin fans ONLY. If you have a case with a bunch of Molex connectors, they will not function. You either have to replace your fans, or use adapters, but performing so will limit the max RPM's of all of your connected fans.-The LCD display is practically entirely unreadable when read from any indirect angle. But honestly, it's not the most pricey of LCD displays. Still a con although, unless you have your rig set on best of a desk to your right/left instead of on the ground below you.-Quite picky about fans, even if they are 3-pin and support variable RPM's. I ordered 4, 120mm MassCool blue LED fans and they did not support variable RPM speeds with the Sentry. Therefore, the RPM's weren't displayed, nor could the fans be controlled individually. Borrowed and tried out a friend's Thermaltake A2018 120mm fan, and those worked just fine (and I will be ordering five of those from NewEgg really shortly). This thing looks sweet on an Antec 900. Really like the clock + date display on the LCD.

This unit looks certainly amazing in my Coolermaster HAF X case. I am taking an egg away from my rating mainly because everytime I restart or shutdown the computer the controller gets messed up. I have to reset the controller and enter in date,time, fan speed ect... Once I do this then almost everything works fine. Not a large deal just a bit annoying depending on how considerably you restart your laptop or computer. This is my first fan controller and overall I am quite pleased, it adds functionality and a bit of character to my case.

This is a Wonderful Fan Controller and Temp reader.Fit extremely well in my new AZZA Solano 1000 Black Full Tower Case perfectly. You can check it out on youtube user account name is Keiki646 and search is (i5 Quad Core High-End Gaming Pc 2010) Reset the day, time, and year when shut down the pc.When turn on the time , day and year is reset. If this was touch screen as properly it would be super.

Pretty color display, animated fan blades. Gee whiz. Has in no way kept a dependable time and date, have replaced battery but nothing makes the clock on this piece of junk work reliably.The cool color display would make my PC like cool, but always having the wrong time and date makes it appear just plain stupid. I feel like a sucker for getting this piece of junk. Give me an inexpensive USB controlled temperature sensor and fan controller, no require for a front panel. Make all settings flash (non-volatile) in the device so no software has to run except to alter settings (unless I opt for an automatic temp or fan fail shutdown).A front panel clock item ought to set time and date from Windows via USB.

Genuinely looks good. Manual is superior. Right after manually setting all 5 fan speeds, nonetheless fluctuates. Can't set fans above 1000 rpm's. 30 minutes right after 1st run, I heard this loud beeping and fan 5 was dead. Plugged fan into motherboard header and it worked. Afraid to leave pc running when I leave the residence. Guess I RMA this one too. Is there a fan controller. that looks good out there that works? The aerocool V12XT I got was junk.
