Works in XP Pro SP3, P4 two.8ghz, 2x512mb dual channel, Epox EP-5EPAJ motherboard. This board dates from 2004 and is an Intel Socket LGA 775 915 chipset board, with a PCI-E x16 very first generation slot. Preceding card was an X300. This 5450 is operating fine in this method. 1080p videos that previously had been glitchy are smooth, with low CPU usage. Would have liked DDR3 and Eyefinity on 1 card. I tried the Doom three demo, just to get an thought of game overall performance. Walking about that initial area the worst framerate I saw was 28fps. Make of that what you will.Video playback is in particular very good when combined with Powerdvd 10. CPU load is ridiculously low, beneath 20% when playing the Iron Man2 1080p trailer I got off Itunes, for instance.

It turn out I like it. qqplayer i sno longer play mkv file. Something is happening in my computer. I am not confident what is the lead to. But window media palyer is operating fine with ffdshow installed.

It functions out of box. i did not try bitstreaming yet Runs hot for my low-profile case. The card performs OK for HTPC duty that’s why I put three eggs (though Windows Performance Index is type of LOW – 4.1 ƓD -4.9), compare to 6.7ǜ.7 on my ATI HD4670 card). The assistance on other hand is non-existing. The phone quantity gives several choices but all of them ultimately say mailbox is complete, transferring to the operator. And guess what? The operator’s mailbox is total as properly. I sent them an e mail with assistance query two weeks ago and followed up a week later – nonetheless no response. Through these two weeks I was trying to reach a reside particular person OR leave a voice message about dozen time – in the morning, throughout the day and even in the evening – all voice boxes are total. So assume twice just before you save บ compare to other brands– will you get a support at all? Manufacturer Response:Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9am - 6pm PST. This was a considerably improved upgrade for my HTPC. I went from using the 790gx graphics core with the Auzentech Xplosion audio card to this. Utilizing the HDMI was a snap and now have truehd audio. And the Bluray encoding is speedy. It is quite affordable for what I get. Nothing to complain about. HDMI audio was uncomplicated as heck to setup and it outputs HD audio. DirectX 11 but whatever. Best HTPC card because it is fan-less

- Cost- Direct X11- Low Profile- Fanless - Heat- Won't fill complete screen Replaced a GT210 with a dead fan that was running at 100°C. This card runs at 72°C complete-load in a Micro-ATX mid tower. Also, the most significant dilemma which I can't solve is this card refuses to fill the entire screen on a 23" LG monitor @ 1920x1080. In the Catalyst Control Center the monitor is recognized as an HDTV as an alternative of a monitor. I can max out the overscan and the image fills the entire screen, but it won't stick. As soon as I hit Apply or OK it goes appropriate back to getting black bars on both sides of the screen. Incredibly frustrating... Manufacturer Response:I can help you repair this dilemma. In the Catalyst Manage Center there is possibilities exactly where you can adjust the overscan/underscan selections of your HDTV so it fills the complete screen. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com, feel totally free to shoot me and e-mail and I'll be a lot more than happy to assist you repair this situation, thanks.-Hugo

It functions, and incorporates HDMI for ำ following rebate Excellent luck truly submitting the rebate, it calls for you to fill out a rebate form on their internet site, which is understandable, but this card isn't listed on their drop down menu. It jumps from 4850 to 5700, creating it impossible to fill out the rebate. 5 eggs for really operating, 1 egg for possessing a broken rebate approach. Averages out to three eggs. Manufacturer Response:Sorry about the difficulties you were getting. The web page has been updated by our webmaster so you really should be in a position to submit the request for the rebate adequately now. Thank you.-Hugo

Flawless 1080p playback in Windows 7 with DXVA Not a gaming card - duh!Minor Software Quibbles -Catalyst Control Panel has a poor layout in W7Software underscans HDTVs by default in most res's/hzten.8 Catalyst Drivers have a bug that doesn't save overscan settings on reboot. I can play any media flawlessly with this even on my old X2 3800+, and thats specifically what I purchased this card to do.

Windows 7 x64 saw it and installed drivers with no a hitch, runs cool sufficient for HTPC requirements, has all three of the typical video output varieties, onboard HDMI worked with out any fuss I'm not overly fond of low-profile PCBs on video cards and a five buck rebate isn't worth my time I'm an nVidia guy, but my primary Win7 x64 Media Server (which I also run Media Center on) has an AMD motherboard chipset and I've generally tried to match motherboard chipsets with my video card chipsets. I had a 9800GT in there, but it was overkill for what I described above, so it ended up in a new gaming rig. This card has filled the void nicely & I liked the truth this was DirectX 11 compatible, even if it was in the lower mid-range. I installed the Catalyst drivers just mainly because I'm not fond of Windows' native/default drivers, even in Win7, and I have had no problems, therefore far. I'm hoping it stays that way...

- I purchased this to add to my Gateway sx2840-01 which has Intel integrated graphic chip X4500. Microsoft scored the integrated chip as four.9 and Powercolor got that up to five.two. Not much improvement here! but I am Okay with this for ฽. Now rebate portion - It is entirely unacceptable - why in the planet Powercolor asks for date of birth (I can see marketing cause, but year of birth is not enough - on the make rebate ID session)? Come on! Then go to subsequent session, Powercolor asks for full address, telephone quantity and so on... ) The only factor Powercolor hasn't asked is your social security quantity. I give up my rebate - I rather lose บ rebate than give PowerColor with that substantially private info. I know this is just my opinion, but with the details PowerColor requests , if that goes into a wrong hand. You can be in trouble!!! Manufacturer Response:Thank you for the feedback. I will have our internet team appear into this and possibly eliminate the characteristic. If you have any other concerns feel cost-free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll be additional than content to help you. hugo@powercolor.com. Thanks.-Hugo

Fan much less, HDMI and DVI out, Adobe Flash hardware acceleration Not dependable Bought this for a HTPC because it is fan less. Worked effectively for four months, then began failing. After operating for a few minutes random square patterns appeared on the screen, then the entire system crashed (Vista graphics adapter error).RMA'd card to PowerColor. They claimed the card was replaced but the indeed the exact same card was shipped back to me! Will not purchase PowerColor once more. Manufacturer Response:Please send me an e-mail at hugo@powercolor.com so I can assist you get this dilemma resolved. If the product was RMA'd to us then I can assure you that you would have surely not received the identical card back. Simple to installDrivers from amd.com installed no challenge.Low power requirements. A tiny warmer than I expected. ATI CC reports 70c. It is fanless. Case feels warm, not hot. Good factor the case has open vents above the PCI slot to let the heat out.I get a little underscan more than hdmi on my Samsung 40" lcd. Not horrible.AMD video converter does not function with HD5000 class cards but. Yes it's not wonderful, but would be nice to be in a position to use it in some scenarios. Installed in a tiny type element acer x1200 that has a 220 watt power provide. It has a dual core sempron ࿍w brisbain) CPU, a 1GB disk and sata cdrom (make your own power consumption guesses and how it applies to your program). Killawatt indicate the program power use is 70watts although playing a HD video stream. CPU around 20-30%.I've knowledgeable no problems with install or running Vista Media Center and this card. The built in Nvidia connection would drop audio over HDMI from time to time. The ATI card does not have this difficulty.I do not anticipate raw power from this card and use the method primarily as a DVR. I would not expect it to be powerful enough to play games with. Have right expectations and you'll be happy with this.Cost-free Low-profile bracket included with combo deal (not included in box)

Decent cost, in a position to drive dual monitors Ƒ DVI & 1 HDMI) at 1920x1080 simultaneously, silent passive cooling. Dead following three months. Out of newegg replacement window, stuck in RMA hell for a month although waiting on the exchange with powercolor. Mine didn't come with low profile bracket so I had to obtain that separately. Worked properly for a couple of months. three months in it began causing windows 7 to blue screen "unable to reset display device". In safe mode, it would "work" but the displays would have these sweet red bars scattered throughout in good geometric patterns. Cr @ ptastic. Manufacturer Response:Our RMA turnaround is around two weeks. I'm not confident why you've had to wait a month or more. Please e-mail me your RMA number and I'll try to support you with this. hugo@powercolor.com Thanks,-Hugo

PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) AX5450 512MK3-SH Video Card
Cons:-Obviously not a gaming card, but that should be obvious. It's on par with Intel HD3000 graphics.-Is there some reason we can't buy a cheapo dual DVI card? I suppose you can use the HDMI port, but still, the cheapest dual DVI card is a $55 HD4670.

Pros:-Fanless-Cheap-Stays under 45C for the WEI benchmark. Idles at 39C.-Scores a 5.1 in WEI (5.8 gaming), which means it will run Aero.
Comment:
I was looking for the cheapest PCI-e card sans MIR that wasn't several generations old, and at $30, this was it. I wanted something quiet but that could run Aero+basic office tasks. This card can do that with ease, and does not get hot despite its lack of a fan. Load temps are lower than my GTX470's idle temps.

The 512 of ddr3 is definitely good on a card that would be deemed "budget" Not only is it a zippy little card, but the price tag with no cost shipping is a bonus! Not a gaming card, as you will see repeatedly in the critiques, but usually most cards under 贄 hardly ever are, so you know what you are getting in that department. I'd advise this card to any person constructing an HTPC, or as a "surfin' the net" machine, it does a fine job for what it is and you can't beat the cost! No cons yet! I've been performing small business with newegg for a couple of years now, and they've never let me down....Preserve up the wonderful function Newegg!!!

It works and does "exactly" what is supposed to do... HTPC, Blu-Ray playing, surfing the internet. Do not ask for far more, simply because you are not paying for far more. This would have been a full five Stars but drivers ruined my experience. The card is not faulty itself, but immediately after installed it was displaying 1920񦳘 on my HDTV "scaled down" wich suggests the picture was not filling up the screen. I installed hundreds of videocards (no kidding) and this is the initial time I saw that problem.I knew it was a driver issue, but it took me two hours and a half to figure out Where the setting is buried into the ATI CCC !!! Why in the hell a fresh driver installation has to come like that?? never ever occurred prior to. It is called GPU Scaling and once you locate the Scaling properties (goood luck for that) you'll see iit comes by default scaled down sorta of 7% (??????), You repair it at % and right here we go, your screen looks like must be. I have Win 7 64 and my MB has an on--board HD3200 which is disabled, nevertheless Win 7 (for the first time in quite a few installations I made) DID NOT recognized the card. Not a biggy simply because soon after downloading the most latest drivers it worked wonderful (besides the scaling nightmare)Too bad I spent practically three hours to install a card that really should take 15 minutes, due to that stupid dilemma.

Installed ok on a Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Core i3 530 Processor, technique. So far so superior as far as the display sharpness, contrast, color, and resolution on 19" LCD monitor. In Windows 7 benchmark gave a 3.7 for Graphics for Windows Aero, the lowest score of the method and the score that determined the benchmark. This is my purpose for giving only three eggs. If you want a greater score and much better graphics for a combined 2DǙD graphics card, you'd be greater off paying much more for a NVidia Geforce GTX 260 or higher. But for the value, I can't complain too substantially about the PowerColor Go! Green. Manufacturer Response:So there was nothing at all wrong with the card itself? This card isn't advertised as getting a speed demon, so don't anticipate max Windows Efficiency Index scores from it.-Hugo
