Runs ideal on Win 7 pro x64. Catylist ten.7 drivers have harware acceleration for h.264 on VLC which is nice. It runs hot ࿦C) in my htpc case but there is poor airflow. This must be fixed with a very good quiet fan blowing on it.

- Silent- Low power- Short length- HDMI audio- Bitstream 7.1 audio- super low cost - not for 3D games- ESVP is limited to 1920x1200- ATi drivers still suck- no LP bracket This is the ideal card for 1080p HTPC. It idles with quite low power ླW) and it's fanless which is a should for HTPCs. The card length is a important plus, it's 1 of the most compact graphics cards out there proper now. It runs a lot cooler than my previous G210 and HD4550. In my opinion it's the best HTPC card out there correct now.

Pirce function well for 2months When I got the card. Its was really hot out of the box aswell the pci rear I/O was bent ... then in game tearing didn't started. The card runs extremely extremely hot you will need to have to put a fan on to playing thing like starcraft two. Buy a diff brand Manufacturer Response:Any card that uses a passive heatsink will generally run hotter than 1 with a fan. These cards have really high heat thresholds so as lengthy as it isn't causing graphical problems or crashes then heat need to be ruled out as a non-element. With that being said, this card isn't created to be used with heavy 3D games such as Starcraft two. You will possibly want a thing a little bit more effective if you want to play brand new games like that. Thanks.-Hugo

No Fan. None for me. This card replaced the integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 on my ASUS M3A78-EM. Hugely improved the performance of Windows Media Center. There is now no sluggishness when running Media Center (Windows 7) at 1080P on my Television.

Also, I had important audio static / pops. It was driving my bat crazy. Come to discover out men and women have had achievement disabling powerplay. I think it is a excellent card for the $ (with rebate pending...). It is a top quality card for it's purposes, and can even run new games if you are willing to sacrifice some good quality. I am old, as are my games; Counter Strike and Half Life 2 obviously don't challenge this card. This is a value card and men and women will score 10x higher than you on 3Dmark, but alas, you get your funds's worth (I think I scored 3350ish? with AMD Athlon II 435 (x3) and 4 gigs of ram on a gigabyte MB... ma770?. Runs hot! I read reviews for various models that recommended it might leading below 60c below load... I watched this powercolor model hit 85c 鳸f) following 3Dmark just before I tweaked my airflow... Now with 70-110 cfm in and 98 - 138 cfm out I can still hit 80c while testing... seems hot to me, even for the fanless model. Even though I know several graphics cards run hotter, I was hoping this would be more on par with the critiques (I bet they have a higher profile more effective "passive fan"/heatsink rather than the lower profile powercolor version. I'm sitting at 60c idle now... was hoping this card would be 20c degrees cooler. If you want to game a lot get a gaming card... hopefully you aren't even reading this if it applies to you. We'll see how it does in the lengthy term... The temps, and my desire to have greater graphics prospective than I would really use nearly created me take into account ordering a thing additional game oriented, but I think this was a superior spending budget minded choice for an old foggy with old games.

Near perfect card for an htpc, specifically at the cost - if it worked. Bought mine over a month ago whilst piecing together an htpc develop. Took a likelihood on it even with the mixed reviews. Lastly got everything I required to start the create more than the weekend and this card is fundamentally doa. Windows booted with it about 5 instances and then it died. Had pink and grey lines on the screen at windows startup (after POST) and now it won't even show the post screen, though my tv doesn't show "no signal" as if absolutely nothing had been there. Just a black screen. Pc is still posting as I can still use onboard video. Of course at this point I can't RMA it either. I've been let down. :/ 1 egg and hoping for manufacturer response. Manufacturer Response:Please e-mail me directly and I'll be in a position to supply you with more data on how to get your card replaced. Sorry for your troubles. Hugo@powercolor.com. Thanks,-Hugo

If your looking for a quiet HTPC graphics card and need an upgrade this will do the trick. The card includes a micro ATX adapter atleast for me and it works decently enough. I don't know...it's not a powerhouse by any means but it is excellent for an upgrade as a replacement for most on board graphics cards.

DirectX 11, 7.1 Streaming Audio, Smooth Video, Passive cooling is silent. Fake rebate. I attempted going to the link on the rebate form to register. It goes to an empty Chinese web site. I went directly powercolor.com and sent an e-mail to the email address (rebate@powercoler.com) spcified on the web site and that just bounced back. I would have waited on buying the card if I had identified that there truly wasn't a rebate... I know Newegg will take it back with not trouble but the card does essentially function. It's now worth the trouble for บ. This will be the last time I buy a PowerColor, although... Good scam. Manufacturer Response:Our site was down because it was being updated for about 5-6 last week so that's why it was redirecting you to a dead link. I can support check the rebate status for you if you send me an e-mail. Please be confident to reference this review. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com. Thanks.-Hugo

Affordable and works on a biostar TP43E combo board. At present being utilised with Linux (Ubuntu) Heatsink appears undersized with rather high temperatures on the heatsink (measured almost 58C on the heat-sink).

This graphics card is incredible! I'm not a gamer, but I had to get this item to replace my old, out-of-date on-board graphics. On my on-board program, it recently starting having a black screen when srteaming video in full screen. It's been having driver problems ever since I upgraded my PC from Windows XP to 7. Anyway, my new card truly made improvement, particularly in Windows Media Center; that's the principal reason I bought it. In my Windows Experience Index, it went from a two. in aero to four.7, and from three. in gaming to 6.1. No fan means no added noise, which is yet another plus. When using it the very first time, I've noticed a couple of troubles. First, Windows detected new hardware and had to re-activate Windows, which is no biggie. Next, I've had concerns with the CPU. I have a dual-core processor (recently upgraded) and it was constantly taking up 1 of the cores. If I was still operating a single-core, my PC would've been slower than molasses and I would've been even more aggravated. Luckily, I read a couple of forums and created a uncomplicated tweek to take care of that difficulty and now it's running smooth. Lastly, I don't know why my graphics card is taking a moment for my monitor to kick in at startup. I'm nonetheless trying to figure that out. If resolved, I'll give you an update, but other than all that, I nonetheless really like this card. One much more factor, it did come with a low-profile bracket, but not for the VGA. This is a wonderful graphics card. If I didn't have any issues with it, I would've raded it 5 eggs. This card is recommended for improvement in graphic efficiency, but not for hardcore gaming.

Bought this to replace old faulty HD 4xxx series card. I feel the fan died on it and fried it. I had horrible video artifacts close to the end of life. This card is great. Beautiful video. I know it will bitstream all audio. I know the fan wont die since there is none. None. Fantastic with XMBC making use of DXVA2 as nicely as Powerdvd bluray playback. Colors are wealthy, flesh tones are appropriate, and the blacks are super black on my plasma.

Passively cooled, and the heatsink is actually low profile so it doesn't intrude on other components in a tight case. Low profile height as well. There is a energy connector for a fan on the card for whatever reason, but the card doesn't demand any external energy... so no six-pin connection needed from the PSU. Ideal for Windows 7, this card supports DirectX11. Does not get super hot even when we watched a couple of Blu-Ray movies in 1080, I haven't tried to play any DX10 or DX11 games on it but, although it did okay with TF2 on the 46 inch LCD Television! At โ this was a bargain for my HTPC. It's a low-profile card but I had to spend a different ů for a low-profile bracket that was not supplied as an accessory. Not PowerColor/ATI's fault, but I can't get Riv@Tuner to run on this factor so I can drill down to see how difficult it's working. Don't believe it would be prudent to overclock this number. When streaming video off the world wide web it will lag or stutter each when and a although following an hour or so (I am working with FIOS and Firefox). I just downloaded the AFOM Add-on for Firefox. It helps recover memory leaks and may well be the reason for the streaming problems, but I haven't had a chance to test it. The wife will be streaming LOST all day tomorrow, so I'll locate out then.

Slim card, comes with half height bracket if you want. Fanless. The present drivers 10.2 accessible from AMD have some concerns with simple games like Machinarium or Samrost two. (they are flash based games)The card will stop updating the screen right after just a few minutes of 1 of these applications. Otherwise I haven't noticed any troubles. I'm utilizing this in a media center so the primary function is just to play HD OTA Broadcasts but I also wanted to use steam for some of the lounge or arcade style games. Due to the fact of driver concerns I would most likely advise staying away from this card if your going to move away from the media center role at all. Manufacturer Response:Have you tried previous versions of the drivers from AMD's site? This card shouldn't have any problems with Flash-based content material, games or video. Do you get similar issues when playing back flash movies? My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com if you're still needing help getting this figure out. Thanks.-Hugo

I cant rate this card but for a really simple budget card only applied on a household theater pc I am positive it will function great. I only got it to do crossfire so with the two it really should have had decent efficiency. The five egg rating is simply because Newegg is freakin great. The stupid post office had this card for an entire 7 days Ƙ days considering that it got into town) and did not deliver it I known as "awesome" Newegg and stated it is lost or delayed and that I got the 5770 while waiting for it and they said ok we will pay return shipping and and take it back so I got the 5570 instead. Man how is that? I Appreciate newegg making up for the slacker post office on there dime. I purchased the 5770 and it did not do what I wanted from a mid-high finish card and took up 2 slots to do it so I purchased the powercolor 5570 with 1gb from amazing Newegg to replace them each mainly because the 赨 dollar card will not do anything in a household theater pc that these energy color cards wont, but man the 5770 is so pretty so very quite. The 5570 is the greatest and ideal card that I located that will do a single slot and let you have your other pci e slots and for a household theater method it is much far more than sufficient and even some moderate gaming will be fine I love newegg I in no way believed I would ever return anything ever and now I have had to return 2 things (Bad Ram) and with Newegg the very hardest thing was attempting to make the totally free ups return label print at the correct size it prints at the size of a full page by default.
