Comment:
It worked for almost 8 months. It did read sd cards and compact flash. In no way read micro sd cards thru micro sd card slot. Light on device is vibrant and stays on no matter if your pc is on or not and whether or not or not there is a card in it. Had to reinstall drivers each and every time I wanted to use it. Now it wont function at all. It doesn't recognize when a card is inserted or read it. I read the testimonials too before buying but the price is what sold me, don't let it take place to you too. spend the additional 10 bucks and get a decent reader that works.

Installation was fairly effortlessLooks great USB connection works but none of the card readers do. It will acknowledge that something is present but will constantly ask for you to insert a device. It is essentially non-functional. In contacting consumer service for aid, the initial email to them was responded to rapidly, but any follow up emails afterward had been met with silence. I tried repeatedly to get them to respond. Soon after 15 days and my abandonment of hope, they finally got back with me. I'm still attempting to work out a replacement.

effortless to installusb port on the front Employed it 1 time when I first got it, right after about a month it developed a brief of some kind. When it is plugged in it continuously give the beautiful windows new usb device chime, and by constantly I mean non-cease every two seconds. I unplugged it for a week and plugged it back in, the usb port worked but none of the card reader slots worked. Following two days of becoming plugged back in it started its windows chime spree again. Don't waste your funds on this reader. Devote a small bit far more and obtain a reader created by a trustworthy vendor. Ordering a Rosewill nowadays. Incredibly disapointed that this item was such poor excellent.

Inexpensive. Does not come with hardware to fit a common case drive slot, only the three.5" slots that you'll find on NO non-proprietary (Dell, HP) case. Too cheap to bother sending back.

If it stops working, there can be no pros. Worked fine for a couple of weeks, then quit. Replaced it with a Rosewell like I've used prior to. Devote the extra bucks!

Works OK for the price. Bright red LED usually on. Not excellent for my HTPC. USB connector on front is upside down. USB header fit was poor. Smaller screws. Smaller lettering on face, you'll want cheater glasses to see. Very first, if you don't want the often on LED, don't get this one. I will possibly acquire the Koutech I saw here for a small far more. I also had a hard time connecting the USB to my board. Why is it sized wrong??? Could the screws be any smaller? The only cause for three eggs is the price. My ideal card reader would have a lid or cover that flips up and then an LED backlight would show everything. The cover would be nice to preserve dust out. I would easily pay far more for all of this for my HTPC. Anybody know of 1?

I got it cause it was cheap, and though it would make a nice addition to my desktop Appears to perform intermittently. The usb port worked fine, but when I attempted the SD port I couldn't get it to register on the laptop or computer. Attempted a few occasions and got it, but then it locked up. Could be a driver issue perhaps. Really haven't utilized it a lot, but when I went to use it I couldn't get it working effectively so I was let down.

None truly The front bezel never fit suitable at all, if you use the usb port in it the bezel comes off everytime you remove the usb device/cable. Soon after 6 months of very light use it stopped reading cards all together, the cards will work in my printer but will not work this reader.

Had it about two years already. No problems so far. Reads every little thing I've put into it. Not truly a con but I would prefer you able to put any cards or memory stick facing up and not downwards. But I'm confident all readers are comparable. Would purchase yet another for the next setup.

Card reads SD, SDHC, and USB, I don't have anything else to throw at it. Taking away one egg for the red light on the front of the reader staying ON all the time, whether the pc is in sleep or shut down. This has to do with my motherboard powering USB devices even when the computer is off, but other people want to be conscious that this may well occur depending on their hardware. My laptop has the alternative to turn that function off, my desktop does not. It works, but that red light is bright and annoying.

It works. Has holes for all cards which includes Micro SD and additional USB slot. Good black (not the usual dark charcoal) finish. Annoying red LED stays on all the time (green turns on only when it reads the cards which is fine). I will have to remove it or paint it black.

Works, installs very easily. Affordable need to have for any PC. Could you make that red LED light any brighter please? Much better yet, make it so it can not be switched off. Have to have black marker to black out the red LED light.

Great firmware style on USB hub controller chip, appears to take just about any memory card format. Tested on XP, Win7 and Linux (Ubuntu 10.04). But only right after we reflowed the board to finish soldering components on. Unit was DOA. Very poor good quality of contruction, and the circuit board still had raw, unmelted solder paste around the primary controller chip. The circuit board itself is incredibly poor top quality also, and is even below normal economy 1ǘ oz copper plating. In other words, worse than affordable. The component pads aren't even tinned, and the solder mask is peeling off the PC board. We now have this hanging on the wall as an example of the absolute worst (or ideal) example of a quite low good quality Chinese manufacturing effort. Because it wasn't really worth the trouble to ship back, we took in into the lab for failure analysis. Upon opening the unit we discovered that about 1Ǚ the board wasn't soldered, and the primary controller chip had slid off the pads. Certainly these aren't even minimally tested at the factory. The board was full of just plain dirt and hair also, like one thing you'd sweep off the floor - or rescue from the garbage can.Once we cleaned and reflowed the USB hub chip back onto the board and fixed 3 other capacitors that had cracked solder joints the unit did fire up and operate. But its like you have to have an electronics lab & repair station / microscope to get the unit to work. Its like they sent us a "kit" of parts, and some assembly necessary.

It reads a bunch of different formats just like it promises. I'm running it with Windows 7 (x64) and it has no difficulties with detection. Read times are a small slow I really feel, but absolutely nothing bad at all. Red power light remains on though pc is running, but it doesn't bother me. For ~ฝ it's a fantastic small device.

NONE, THEY DID NOT Work. DON'T Acquire THIS BRAND!!! IN TE PAST I HAVE Bought THIS BRAND CARD READER AND THEY HAVE WORKED FINE WITH NO Complications. Recently I Bought Four OF THEM AND NOT 1 WORKED. THE USB PORT WORKED BUT NONE OF THE MEMORY CARD SLOTS WORKED. I Tried THEM ON Four Various SYSTEMS AN NOT One WORKED. THE DRIVE LETTERS Had been THERE BUT WHEN I INSERTED ANY OF MY MEMORY CARDS I COULD NOT VIEW THE Information ON THE CARDS. I Purchased 4 VANTEC 58-in-1 MEMORY CARD READERS AND THEY ALL WORKED FINE. I Tried THE SABRENT CARD READERS IN THE FOLLOWING MOTHERBOARDS. MSI: MA79LM-S2HBIOSTAR:A785GEFOXCONN: A6VMX2-KMSI: 785GTM-E45

Installed fine, perfectly for a while. CF slot is too shallow, which brought on me to bend pins by inserting it slightly crooked. Pins bent back and now works fine. Inserting cards did not have a quite positive 'feel'. Opened case of reader to discover that they decided to only install one screw (added additional screw and feels far better now). Can only acheive two.5MB/s max from CF slot. Can only acheive 4.four MB/s from SD slot (another reader sustains 10 MB/s). No downloadable drivers on Sabrent's site. SD slot is upside-down (slight annoyance). Layout is a small different than the Newegg picture (not a big deal at all). Running Windows 7 Residence Premium 32 bit on Gigabyte G31 motherboard, DDR2, and so on.

None. Screw holes don't match normal 3.5" bay so it sticks in or out.Won't study any of the 4 card sorts I tried running windows 7 64 I built my pc last week with out a single problem, aside from this card reader which was a pain the entire time.

It works, plug and play. Supports all of the card formats it says it does, and they all fit perfectly. I've read that other people today have had issues with poorly fitting bezels and the like, but either I got lucky, or they sorted that problem out. The Red power LED is a tad annoying, but thats easy sufficient to either ignore, eliminate, or paint over (I think one reviewer stated nail polish worked wonders) So lengthy as you don't attempt to force cards in upside down, I think this ought to be a welcome addition to any laptop or computer tower that doesn't already have a multi-card reader.
